@paulinsixburgh Try moving the transmitter further away from your xbox. Also, check the connections from the transmitter to your xbox because it may be a bad connection causing the buzz. Unplug the cable from the transmitter and listen if the buzz goes away.
I think your guys website is retarded. why would you take the already existing headsets away to put the new ones up..just add em to inventory. also the replacement cord for x31 is horrible, I can't plug it into my guitar or baterang controller. you guys should have just sold the same exact cord as the one you get when you buy them

@xAu5tinx You can connect the X31 to RCA Outputs (not inputs) on your TV. If your TV does not have RCA Outputs, then you can get an XBox HDMI RCA Adapter.

@smithabe33 It has nothing to do with the headset because you're experiencing a problem with a part of the console to which the headset is not connected. It's phsycially impossible for the headset to cause the Xbox to restart when you switch the input. The headset does not affect the HDMI input because it is not connected to it.
Why does my XBOX 360 (Slim 250 GB) restart every time I switch input from TV to gaming? I have an HDMI connection and have to use an AV adapter to plug in the X31 red/white audio cables. If there is no way to fix this (which is what XBOX tech support said, and Best Buy Geek Squad) then these headphones suck. What if I am playing a game and want to check a football score? If I flip input, it resets the XBox. NOBODY has an answer for me why this happens or a solution. I'm bringing mine back.

@smithabe33 It's an HDMI setting. You have to look in the user guide for the TV to see how the HDMI is controlled when different components are turned on. I wish I could give you more details, but it's not a problem with our product. Maybe you should contact the TV manufacturer.

@sid3kick10 They are supposed to work separately. Maybe you have the XBOX chat set to "play from speakers" rather than "play from headset". Follow the instructions in our user manual.
On my headset, I just bought a new cable. I can only clearly hear people when I set the voice to play through speakers which is annoying when I'm playing a loud game.

This is what many say of your headsets, and this is one of the reasons why astro is considered to be "better quality". You guys have great headsets, but I'm just saying that there is room for improvement.

I received the x31 as a Christmas present. I love the sound that it provides, however I have yet to get the chat working so that I can chat while playing. I can hear all the game sounds however.
I also read previous post on wireless interference with wifi, so thank you for the posts, I will try moving the transmitter 5 ft from xbox.
@baerma82 Make sure that you have everything connected and set up exactly as the manual says. Wifi interference wouldn't cause chat not to work, you'd just hear the occasional pop.
@TurtleBeachVideos I have reconnected and resetup exactly as the manual says numerous times. My brother in law just set his up to and his worked, so he doubled checked mine and I receive the same results. I can hear sound but noone can hear me chat. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Just got these headset their beast and so I don't keep buying battery's all the time I got some rechargeables. And in the box in came with a dogface stick it's cool

@randomeighty You can connect the PC sound card output to the X31 transmitter and hear the PC on your X31 headset. For mic, you need the PS3/PC adapter cable. We have a video on our YouTube channel that explains how it works.

Let me just say this it is a nice headset with good sound but, the signal only has a range of around 10 ft and although it is quite in them there is alot of fuzz sound and interference with them and regular batteries (not alkaline) only last you about 7 hours

@AiReTaCtiKzZ The X31 is wireless but it's Xbox only. The Foxtrot is wired but is universal. Pick which one you like more. They're both great and have the same features otherwise and sound about the same.

Why would you right away say it's not the headphones? You have no answers except that it is not the headphones. You don't know that. You are just trying to save face. This will be my last post.

@smithabe33 It has nothing to do with the headset because you're experiencing a problem with a part of the console to which the headset is not connected. It's phsycially impossible for the headset to cause the Xbox to restart when you switch the input. The headset does not affect the HDMI input because it is not connected to it.

Why does my XBOX 360 (Slim 250 GB) restart every time I switch input from TV to gaming? I have an HDMI connection and have to use an AV adapter to plug in the X31 red/white audio cables. If there is no way to fix this (which is what XBOX tech support said, and Best Buy Geek Squad) then these headphones suck. What if I am playing a game and want to check a football score? If I flip input, it resets the XBox. NOBODY has an answer for me why this happens or a solution. I'm bringing mine back.

@smithabe33 This has nothing to do with the headphones. It has something to do with the way you've configured your HDMI settings on the TV or game console.

@smithabe33 It's an HDMI setting. You have to look in the user guide for the TV to see how the HDMI is controlled when different components are turned on. I wish I could give you more details, but it's not a problem with our product. Maybe you should contact the TV manufacturer.

@sid3kick10 They are supposed to work separately. Maybe you have the XBOX chat set to "play from speakers" rather than "play from headset". Follow the instructions in our user manual.

I love the headsets a lot only prob is the chat echo which ignores me. And all u guys thy r having chat trouble then it might be the talkback cable is broken cuz my past wired chat sets cords broke inside real is just be extremely careful with thy cord!!!

@tanork1 This is rarely caused by a bad cable. In most cases, it's that one side of the talkback cable is not firmly plugged in (controller and headset side). If the plug isn't in all the way, it can cause problems because of the bad connection. If that’s not the problem, then you should try a different XBOX controller. Sometimes the jack wears out over time and makes a bad connection with the talkback cable.

This is what many say of your headsets, and this is one of the reasons why astro is considered to be "better quality". You guys have great headsets, but I'm just saying that there is room for improvement.

really great headsets, highly recommend to anyone, but one problem ALOT of people seem to get is the talkback cable doesnt work, even though they followed all the instructions perfectly, i seem to have this problem too, and would love for some suggestions, i have tried everything on the website, followed the instructions word by word, and nothing. i would love some feedback on how to fix this, thanks and keep up the great work everyone at turtle beach

I received the x31 as a Christmas present. I love the sound that it provides, however I have yet to get the chat working so that I can chat while playing. I can hear all the game sounds however.
I also read previous post on wireless interference with wifi, so thank you for the posts, I will try moving the transmitter 5 ft from xbox.

@baerma82 Make sure that you have everything connected and set up exactly as the manual says. Wifi interference wouldn't cause chat not to work, you'd just hear the occasional pop.

@TurtleBeachVideos I have reconnected and resetup exactly as the manual says numerous times. My brother in law just set his up to and his worked, so he doubled checked mine and I receive the same results. I can hear sound but noone can hear me chat. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@randomeighty You can connect the PC sound card output to the X31 transmitter and hear the PC on your X31 headset. For mic, you need the PS3/PC adapter cable. We have a video on our YouTube channel that explains how it works.

Let me just say this it is a nice headset with good sound but, the signal only has a range of around 10 ft and although it is quite in them there is alot of fuzz sound and interference with them and regular batteries (not alkaline) only last you about 7 hours

@AiReTaCtiKzZ The X31 is wireless but it's Xbox only. The Foxtrot is wired but is universal. Pick which one you like more. They're both great and have the same features otherwise and sound about the same.

i have the x31, its sick so buy it it took me like 2 minutes to set up even with hdmi. they sound so nice. buy one. my cousin had x11's but when they broke after 2 years he got x31's because of no wires.

@pwned4life18 You can get the AV adapter on Amazon for about $5. Check if your HD TV has RCA audio output jacks. If so, you can use those instead.
