Oh I did. WCW was the first wrestling show I watched. I loved it. But look back on it and realize how stupid a lot of those storylines were. I mean, c'mon. Ropocop, David Arquette as World Champion and a Caddle Prod. That was some pretty dumb shit going on there. But I did like a good portion of their wrestlers and the matches were pretty good too. But it ended up being too political and ridiculous in the end.
if you go to my account youll find a video with the reason why david arquette wasnt that bad, and if you consider 1 or 2 bad plots on wcw, the reason why it sucked for the most well, lets look a wwe shall we? HHH fucking a corpse dressed as kane. Vince pretends to be dead. Gillberg. Vince Mcmahon world champion. Huckster vs Nacho Man. I CAN go on. Val Venis being "chopi chopi on his pepee by Mr Yamagushi san." Theres tons of worse stuff from WWE.

Also, looking back at WCW if you do ignore the stuff you mentioned, theres not so much about it to complain, as they did have better matches then the WWE. Flair vs Steamboat, Flair vs Sting, Luger vs Sting, Pillman, the luchadores, the hollywood blonds, Sid, 4 horseman, all the cruiserweight action, the nwo storyline, Goldberg and DDP, dark sting, filthy animalz, the revolution etc. Theres pretty much 89% good, and 11% bad. But really, I prefer Robocop then the Kiss my ass club anyday

they did alot with them, again, if you did watch wcw, you would know that Dean Malenko had notable feuds with Jericho, and Rey. That JEricho had very good feuds with Malenko, Rey, Juvi, and Benoit. You would know that Benoit was always good used. That the Arquette storyline wasnt as bad as people who didnt see it say it was. That WCW had very good storylines, over the course of the years envolving the people who did those same good matches.
I do remember them having great feuds. Excellent feuds. Midcard feuds. What I'm talking about with that is how they didn't elevate them to the status I, and many others, believe they should have been. Benoit always had great matches. My favorite wrestler just to let you know. but he was only given a chance at the World Title as a way to keep him there after the train wreck of the backstage politics in WCW had made him hate going to work. He even said that, along those lines anyway, in his DVD.
Benoit was also my favourite wrestler ever, with Bret Hart on close second, both of them were the reason I became a wrestler. They didnt elevate them. Ok, lets see, WCW started getting attention from more people after Hogan joined, but it became really mainstream in 96 with the nwo. Jericho and Rey etc joined in 96, they were virtually unknowns. So you have a roster, with Bret Hart, Hogan, Savage, Sting, Hall, Nash, DDP, Goldberg, Hennig etc etc etc, on their peak, and youre gonna (cont)
2nd part - put the belt on jericho, etc? This is a business, if we wwe was to follow your logic then Taka Michinoku would have been champion. OR Essa Rios. They were young, talented, and were on WWE. The thing is, Jericho would eventually be the champ if he had stayed with the WCW after 98. Come 99, when most of the veterans started leaving due to age, injuries, etc, JEricho would have gotten his chance, JUST LIKE BENOIT DID, IN THE REVOLUTION, OR MATCHES WITH BRET HART ETC

I still find a lot of people were under used. Same in the WWE. Hell, they still do that to an extent. The stable Revolution with Shane Douglas,Saturn and Malenko
later, he left the revolution and engaged on a feud with malenko, remember the flag on the corner match? if malenko won he would set the canadian flag on fire. The Bret Hart vs Benoit matches, the one in nitro tribute to owen, and their world title tournament on mayhem, they both rocked. Feud with Jarrett. US title matches with Sid Vicious. The mini feud between Bret and Benoit vs Goldberg and Sid vs The Outsiders. And then, the world title. It happened naturely.
nWo storyline. Most of Stings storylines. Jericho's storylines. Eddie and Chavo, with Chavo cutting his hair. Goldbergs streak. DDP turning down the nwo's offer. anything in the 80s with Sting, Horseman, Luger, Magnum TA, and Ricky Steamboat. Macho Man and Hogan rivalry after WW3. Flair vs Savage. So dont come here saying they didnt used them or barely did anything with them. Its a lie mate

i agree with cloud2400 they used new stars like benoit and jericho but didnt progress properly rememba 2000 hogan vs jarrent wen russo told jarrent 2 lie down and he did it what for put hogan in that position in the first place wat they sud have done was put hogan in a fued with another ageing wretsler and used the belts for the new guys like steiner, booker etc and if you remember wcw had the chance to sign future stars like triple hhh, undertaker, edge etc but they didnt pay any attention.

Oh I did. WCW was the first wrestling show I watched. I loved it. But look back on it and realize how stupid a lot of those storylines were. I mean, c'mon. Ropocop, David Arquette as World Champion and a Caddle Prod. That was some pretty dumb shit going on there. But I did like a good portion of their wrestlers and the matches were pretty good too. But it ended up being too political and ridiculous in the end.

Also, looking back at WCW if you do ignore the stuff you mentioned, theres not so much about it to complain, as they did have better matches then the WWE. Flair vs Steamboat, Flair vs Sting, Luger vs Sting, Pillman, the luchadores, the hollywood blonds, Sid, 4 horseman, all the cruiserweight action, the nwo storyline, Goldberg and DDP, dark sting, filthy animalz, the revolution etc. Theres pretty much 89% good, and 11% bad. But really, I prefer Robocop then the Kiss my ass club anyday

they did alot with them, again, if you did watch wcw, you would know that Dean Malenko had notable feuds with Jericho, and Rey. That JEricho had very good feuds with Malenko, Rey, Juvi, and Benoit. You would know that Benoit was always good used. That the Arquette storyline wasnt as bad as people who didnt see it say it was. That WCW had very good storylines, over the course of the years envolving the people who did those same good matches.

I do remember them having great feuds. Excellent feuds. Midcard feuds. What I'm talking about with that is how they didn't elevate them to the status I, and many others, believe they should have been. Benoit always had great matches. My favorite wrestler just to let you know. but he was only given a chance at the World Title as a way to keep him there after the train wreck of the backstage politics in WCW had made him hate going to work. He even said that, along those lines anyway, in his DVD.

Benoit was also my favourite wrestler ever, with Bret Hart on close second, both of them were the reason I became a wrestler. They didnt elevate them. Ok, lets see, WCW started getting attention from more people after Hogan joined, but it became really mainstream in 96 with the nwo. Jericho and Rey etc joined in 96, they were virtually unknowns. So you have a roster, with Bret Hart, Hogan, Savage, Sting, Hall, Nash, DDP, Goldberg, Hennig etc etc etc, on their peak, and youre gonna (cont)

2nd part - put the belt on jericho, etc? This is a business, if we wwe was to follow your logic then Taka Michinoku would have been champion. OR Essa Rios. They were young, talented, and were on WWE. The thing is, Jericho would eventually be the champ if he had stayed with the WCW after 98. Come 99, when most of the veterans started leaving due to age, injuries, etc, JEricho would have gotten his chance, JUST LIKE BENOIT DID, IN THE REVOLUTION, OR MATCHES WITH BRET HART ETC

First I'll correct myself when I said he only got a title shot when they wanted him to stay. I meant just a World Title. Not jsut a shot at it. My bad there. I still find a lot of people were under used. Same in the WWE. Hell, they still do that to an extent. I just wanted them to push the younger more talented guys more than they did rather than keeping the old guys I've seen plenty of times on top.

He was going to be given the title, but he didnt want to stay, and it had nothing to do with the product, but due to russo leaving, and kevin sullivan, benoits wife ex husband taking booking control. If you look at the past year before that,1999 was a year where Benoit progressed. Lets see, he had those great matches as malenkos tag, and winning the tag gold. later, he left the revolution and engaged on a feud with malenko, remember the flag on the corner match? if malenko won he would set the canadian flag on fire. The Bret Hart vs Benoit matches, the one in nitro tribute to owen, and their world title tournament on mayhem, they both rocked. Feud with Jarrett. US title matches with Sid Vicious. The mini feud between Bret and Benoit vs Goldberg and Sid vs The Outsiders. And then, the world title. It happened naturely.

Look beyond the large production budget of the WWE, which includes all the great promos, stages, lights, stadiums, merchandies and so on.
Then look at whats left and compare it to TNA, you will notice that when it comes down to the core, TNA is equal if not superior.
TNA is improving year by year, while the WWE gets worse year by year.

Well the WWE has a way bigger budget and better broadcast partners.
So all the people who dont really understand the basics of wrestling will automatically rush over to the WWE, just because its bigger and more spectaciular.
The WWE isnt terribly bad, its a great program for kids and teens, but for someone whos been watching wrestling for a long time now, its rather childish.
