  • Sorry I did not get to see the number of fibers used that is specified at the end.

Also, what is the PSA reduction after this? Best regards FGS

  • Thank you for your feedback. Those are all good points. The number of fibres depends on the size of the gland and if they have had prior procedures done. If there is fibrosis, more fibres per gland of tissue are required. Larger glands require more fibres.

  • Congratulations for a nice video: some comments though:

    - To enucleate means to remove (a tumor or eye, for example) whole from an enveloping cover or sac. I think this technique should be more appropriately be termed vapo-resection.

    - It would be nice to see the postoperative TRUS to check if the whole adenoma was removed. Also, would be nice to see the amount of tissue removed or weighed by the pathologist.

    - Working so in contact with tissue how many fibers do you use for this procedure?

    FGS

  • Very Interesting. I used different technique to enucleate the prostate with the green light HPS 120W. I start the enucleation at 12, after that 2 incision between median lobe and lateral lobe, then i push the median lobe to the bladder. finally i make the same with the lateral lobes. Jorge Saldana.
