OH... And I'm not afraid of being different. I prefer to do my own thing. I don't go crazy or anything. I think to pull a Lady Gaga type of style off you have to carry it well and to me there is a time and place for anything. Standing out just to be a spectacle is over the top. Not saying that's what anyone else does... saying that's how I would feel if I was in an environment where everyone's dressed for the occasion and I'm being ridiculous. LOL!

I personally agree with the person in this video, and i don't see a problem with wanting to get publicity. And lady gaga doesn't conform to society. So, i personally think that your wrong and that you should look a little deeper into to the people you critize to make sure that what you say is close to the truth.No offence meant. Just saying.

hi Val, I value people who are different. I always have an opportunity to learn something from them, good or bad. Although im tired of living in a world that pushes difference so much. Im average by most standards. But I like that . you can see what makes me me by getting to know me. Not because I announce it to the world as if the only way to be somebody is to be more shocking than the next person. I say “be Different” by being yourself!

I'm sorry, Val, I love your stuff, but I couldn't get into this one. I'm not afraid of differences, but "Lady" Gaga is just a flake who's utilizing shock value, sex, and politics to make money for a record label. Val can be unique and wonderful, but Gaga is way too close to Madonna, Björk, Shirley Manson, KatieJane Garside and every other outlandish female vocalist in pop music to be "unique".

I like the painting, just not lady Caca . She is trying so hard to imitate an early 80's-90's Madona. Her song Alehandro reminds me of a song Madona did about san pedro a tropical island and she sings a few words in Spanish too.

You're so inspiring, Val. I'm an aspiring artist myself, and I always watch a video of yours before I'm about to paint or draw something. Your open-mind and kind-hearted view on art makes you my idol. =] It would be lying if I didn't say I wish I could paint as well as you, but wishing your someone else will not solve my problems. Humans evolved to be a social, cohesive group because it meant survival. Now that we have rights, police protection, and civilization, we can afford to be different and not care so much about the consequences.

Lady Gaga, on the other hand, is just a calculated persona to rake in cash. If she was this "unique" person all her life, or even early in her music career, it would be genuine and I wouldn't criticize it. But she wasn't.

she is not being different....she is being exactly the same and even copying others in her field. eg- madona, cher, etc. people may ''think'' shes different and new but its all been done before. we all know what she is and what she stands for and her shock tactics dont work on me in the least. they to be held responsible for the image and lifestyles they teach to people (especially young women).

I'm not afraid of being judged because I am MISjudged by even the people who are closest to me. What you THINK you see isn't always what you get.
