You shamed me and Tim as surviving victims of Aug 8th, 1973. You shamed all 27 boys that were dug up, and the countless ones that weren't. This has absolutely no truth or related in any way to the Houston Mass Murders other than your small little minds can dream up. Pray it never happens to someone you love!
We did take a lot of liberties with the movie, mainly for legal reasons. For instance, the true story was in 1973 in Texas, and the movie is in 1977 in the midwest, plus the last names are different. But we tried to be relatively accurate with the story itself.
Were the legal reasons mainly involving people's names? I don't understand why you would legally need to change the year the original killings took place in.
Are you going to release it on DVD? You mentioned in another video that you borrowed music from Maniac in it. Have you not released it because you don't have music rights?
You took A LOT of liberties!!!!! How can you make a relatively accurate movie when so much that is printed out there came from imaginations of reporters who had a deadline?
Someone who knows the truth behind the Houston Mass Murders....
This movie is in no way accurate. If anyone said it was, then it was one of the producers. This movie is fiction inspired loosely on a real story. Also, take it from me, it's not that great of a movie either.
Thank you for commenting back. I am the Rhonda this the film is about. It's very frustrating to see all the stuff about myself that I know is far from the truth.
@StonedGremlin, why was the movie filmed in black and white? Is it because Elmer Wayne Henley's art is painted in black and white or is it simply for dramatic effect?
It really surprises me that Dean Corll is not more infamous. Most people would be like...Dean who? But he was much, MUCH more evil than other more well known serial killers. That film would have to be practically unwatchable to give a true account of a monster whose perfect evening involved strapping a boy to a plank, raping him, ramming sharp objects in his anus for a few hours, yanking out his pubic hairs, crushing a glass rod inside his penis, some more rape, then strangulation.
Is Elmer Wayne Henley in any way sorry about what he did? After all, it was mostly his own school friends that he brought to the 'parties' fully knowing that Corll was going to kill them. I wonder does he still see the bloody and brutalised bodies in his dreams and hear the screams of agony from 35 years ago...
I must ask, was this based on a true story that occurred in early 1970s in Houston, TX? Case where a Dean Corll and two accomplices killed some 27 teen age boys and the entire ring was unraveled on August 8, 1973?
I was not in Texas back then but know the Heights area well and cant help but wonder the many times I may have drivin by the family homes of some of those who once lived in that area. Sad times in Houston for sure.
I am curious to know if this is based on that story?
The cop at the end of the movie standing outside the room looks like he is going places in your movies. P.S.....you should make a movie about gamers that only play nintendo games....and out that from "Midnight Heat" in it.
I wish I could, but given the nudity and stuff like the castration sequence, I don't think it would remain up for very long. I'll try to find another site to post it on though.
I watched this, and since my uncle was involved in the whole thing, and I showed the movie to him and he said it was pretty accurate.

I figured it was about time for someone to have the balls to make a movie about Dean Corll.

Not, sure, it's been 6 years since we made it. I think we just wanted to distance ourselves as much as possible from the story.

Hey, I lived on the same street as Corll - the house Henley killed him in. I would love to see this film. Anyone know where I can see it?

Hehe, well, I don't actually wear glasses in real life, so I usually have kind of a headache after doing a Cinema Snob video with those glasses =)
