oakleys are not worth it. A friend of mine once had a pair and sat on them. They broke in half by the nose. He had just bought them for over $300 dollars

15 years ago, a dood on my baseball team shows up with a brand new pair of M-frames. everyone's like "whoa nice shades. how much?"  and he's like "200 bucks!" or something like that. and we're like "why are they so expensive?" and he's like "you can fire a BB at 'em and they won't even get scratched!".

i never bothered researching that until now. guess it was true lol.

btw... he sat on those M-frames like a week later and broke em in half.

i guess they don't make 'em ass proof.

there is a difference between bb guns and airsoft guns. bb guns shoot smaller mettal pelets usually used for hunting small animals. (rabits, birds, squirls.) airsoft is for combat simulation.

@boonie1994 I'd say airsoft is for fun. There is no comparaison between an airsoft gun and a real one. The recoil, ballistics etc... have nothing in common.

But if you mean "tactical" simulation like learning to clear a room, how to "handle" a weapon (I learned that there were airsoft guns with the weight close to real weapons) etc... then yes. But combat simulation is a no no for me!

not quite... the lenses are tested around 150 feet per second counting if the author is right, most fields around the US have a rule of 400 feet per second- i cant say they arnt bad but try calling oakley themselves to ask their weights and what not to see if they can take the airsoft bb

So the small BB moves at 150fps. Wow. Red Rider BB guns shoot the same BB at 270fps. Paintballs travel 300fps. Feel like the lenses aren't all they're cracked up to be yet?

These things aren't that strong at all. If you want something quite strong, look up Wiley X. They make arguably the strongest lenses.

Otherwise, they're goo glasses. ;)

I fail to see why people will negate your post. It is completely valid, but you are missing one point. The pellet fired in the video is most likely the standard metal pellet. I do realise many BB guns fire metal pellets, but as far as I know people tend not to use metal pellets in BB wars. (Correct me if I am wrong there).

Furthermore, paintball guns fire at a much faster rate to counter the momentum lost compared to a smaller pellet.
