  • Good presentation. Have you noticed any excessive wear in the upper receiver? Curious as to weather or not the bolt tilting would cause wear like that..

  • @winchestermag I have had some scratches on the inside of the upper receiver near the ejection port, but I was having some issues with steel case ammo rupturing in the bore and the casings scratched it up. It didn't compromise it's integrity or anything, but they just look ugly. Steel case ammo is cheap to shoot, but they fuck shit up if you shoot to much of it at one time.

  • @winchestermag oh and thanks for the kind comment

  • @GunsNGauze Your very welcome :o) Thanks for the reply

  • My barrel nut, pistol grip, and castle nut did come loose.. I'm assuming Bushmaster is scared to torgue them down that tight and risk fucking up the threads on the carbon.

  • @falloutforever88 torque

  • @falloutforever88 Really? wow, that's weird. If you have your warranty still, I'd suggest sending it back to Bushmaster. If not, then you can use Loctite and re-tighten all those things your self, or have your local gun shop do it for you. I'm sure they'd have the necessary tools to do it. I've never experienced that problem myself. But to my knowledge, none of the threads are actually pure carbon fiber material, they usually have metal where threads are. I.e. barrel nut, buffer tube, etc.

  • @GunsNGauze I ended up taking all three off and putting them back on anyways I haven't had any trouble since.

  • @falloutforever88 lol its because Remington bought out bushmaster, and in the contract clause 85 percent of the gun smiths packed up and left, so the quality is low in assembly, but parts are solid just do a break down, or get a gun smith to comb it. nice gun great one to have.

  • @MrAutokillerable Yeah I tapped out the roll pin and took my gas tube out and tightened the barrel i was just checking it because the grip and buffer castle nut was loose, that barrel nut was wayyyyy too easy to take off, I haven't had any problems after i tightened it all down. I see myself buying a spikes upper and lower anyways to switch out the carbon fiber parts it's not a bad rifle but if i could go back in time i would probably get the M&P15SPT

  • @falloutforever88 why the M&p?!?!

  • @MrAutokillerable not a fan huh. I never shot one.

  • @falloutforever88 Personally i prefer Colt, then bushmaster ive heard some retarded guys claiming to be " experts" saying they all are the same, tryin to talk me into a sig AR which i hate. i dont like a few of the options on the M&P and personally never really felt content with S&W. i know i can change them out but never felt the need to bother. but that just my 2cents.

  • @MrAutokillerable Yeah, I know what you mean It's always worth waiting longer and buying something nicer than buying something mediocre and feeling a little regret later on. I'm new to the AR world but I know they are not even close to being the same.

  • Just fired this one down the range. The recoil was nothing to cause alarm. Very light, as you mentioned, and seemed like a perfectly good rifle. It is my first ever time firing an AR 15, and I was also very impressed with the price. Same as yours. Thanks for the very informative and straight-forward review.

  • I just got one of these for Christmas I think its amazing

  • @flyinasscritter-lol big time weapon specialist?...naw man. Just a gun lover. I did two vids that day. Just never posted the other. Thanks for the comment tho.

  • having the pistol on the table make me wonder if you think your a big time weapons specialist or just a guy that thinks maybe people are after you even though no one even thinks about you. just saying - not a bad review

  • @bosundave121- yeah you're right I forgot about that. But to answer your question, no the flash hider is not pinned and welded. I just used a crescent wrench and was able to remove mine. Very easily actually. Once I had it off I could see they had just used bule locktite and tightened it down. Thanks for watching.

  • yep, pretty good review. You left out one VERY important item. Is the flash hider pinned and welded on? I want to put a compensator on the same gun i just bought online. One add said it had a pinned flash hider but i am not so sure. Price is down to 650 now. Bargain

  • @Dleake55845- yeah for sure man, basically you have 2 pins that hold the upper and lower recievers together. You can use your fingers, or if its a new rifle, u can use a pen or something like that to help push them out. As they may be a little stiff being that its new. After that, the two recievers just come apart. And then inside you have your bolt carrier group, which holds your bolt, bolt cam pin, firing pin, and firing pin retaining pin. Its real easy to break that down as well.

  • I think my dad got me one for Christmas I have been around guns my whole life and I hunt to. Is it a easy gun to break down to clean

  • im getting one on black friday too. $600 what a steal

  • sweet rifle, I'm picking one up on black friday.

  • @iphoneguy13 its a UTG. Quad rail. Its a drop in no gunsmithing required piece. I got it from cheaper than dirt. It cost me about $65 I think. Pretty darn cheap. Almost cheaper than dirt lol

  • Hey man where did you pick up the hand guards and how much? thanks

  • Great review learned alot from your video.

  • @OpticChaos101-lol yeah it is, I didn't even notice until after I had finished recording, and then I was like "fuck it, I'll just leave it" so yeah, it was though.

  • @CAMANCHE512-yeah, its level. I haven't bought any yet though, just because I always forget haha but yeah, I'll get some at some point.

  • @p03saucez-that's cool man, I'm glad u like it. Its a sweet rifle.

  • 0:38 was ur xbox on?

  • is that quad rail leveled so you can put some troy buis

  • my first rifle! i bought a few weeks ago and havent fired it yet, $689! i was looking a dpms that was on sale for $620, but the weight made me like it better

  • That is My First Rifle Too. Just bought it today for 725.

I Can't wait to shoot this weekend now.

  • This may end up having to be my replacement AR. My current is a Rock River Entry-Tactical and I just can't get over how front heavy it is after long bouts of practice. Thanks for the info.

  • @p03saucez- yeah dude the barrel is totally interchangeable. Just takes a lil know how and some elbow grease haha so to speak. But yeah I did some bump firing on the 4th of july. Not a big practioner of that tho.

  • @GunsNGauze just received my car15 today. This thing is amazing man.

  • @mitchploeg-yeah dude they're the same caliber but the differ very slightly. Generally speaking the 5.56 is a lil more powerful. But ur right, the bullets are both .22 caliber.

  • dude, .223r is 5.56mm. theyre the same thing...

  • @p03saucez- yes it is. You have to have the right tools of course. But yes it is. The flash hider is also removable, I just found. Its not permanately attached as I had suspected. I just used a crecent wrench. I'm actually going to be putting on a new barrel and changing the gas blcok to a standard sight because I'll be using the smaller barrel on a AR build I'm working on.

  • @GunsNGauze oh cool I was led to believe that the barrel was not changeable. You tried bumpfiring that bad boy yet? Haha

  • @homehous- its as accurate as you or the optic you have I suppose. At 100yds with the red dot optic that came with the rifle, I was able to get 1-1 1/2 inch groups on paper once it was dialed in. So id say its pretty darn accurate.

  • @epidyfilms-I got those ones in front of it from Cabelas. The two black ones are Tapco Polymer magazines and the the 2 grey ones are bushmaster steel mags. They came witht the rifle.

  • How accurate is it?

  • where did u get the extra mags for it?

  • @viatus- yeah dude no problem. I'm glad u dig it. And yeah its actually called by bushmaster the "super light weight carbine" its almost like a toy haha. But the recoil is actually nil on this rifle. I hope you have fun with it, n don't worry about the bad reviewa. I've been straight up using and abusing this rifle and it seems to be taking it really well.

  • @p03saucez- from what I can tell it actually is removable. I don't see any tac welding or anything on it. I'm planning on changing the muzzle break to A YHM one soon, so I will let u know once I do.

  • @GunsNGauze is the low-pro gas block removable?

  • @viatus- yeah the buffer tube on the rifle uses a "commercial diameter" buffer tube which is slightly bigger than the "mil spec" buffer tube. But a lot of the big companies like CAA and VLTOR and etc make both commercial and mil spec after market upgrades. There's nothing wrong with commercial buffer tubes, but I think people just like having the Mil Spec stuff purely for bragging rights lol but in all honesty you can pretty much find everything for the commercials as the mil specs

  • @GunsNGauze thanks for the info, I just picked one up and geez it's light o_O

Im hoping I have as much luck with mine as you aparently have with yours, I was suprised how bad the online Reviews/ Opinions of this rifle are. Neat bonus tho, when I striped mine down...My barrel bushing has the m4 ramps but the recever dose not "Easy fix with a dremel :D

Mmm...I'm looking forward to shortning and integrally suppressing it XD

Gandr Mountan is runing a special on this model $649.99 prety sweet!

  • @po3saucez- no problem dude. I know how you feel I was super stoked to when I was buying mine. I think you will really dig this rifle. Its pretty cool.

  • @GunsNGauze one question. The muzzle break is non-removable right?

  • so you sid the stok is'nt mil spec, have you been able to find aftermarket stocks that will fit?

  • Dude thanks so much for this review. My C15 is on layaway and im ripping my hair out in anticipation.

  • haha you can hear the xbox at 00:38

  • @romy 229, I have a video about it :P jk ita UTG quad rail. Its pretty sweet. Not gunsmithing required. Its made of aluminum so its pretty sturdy. The only critique I have about it is, that the QD sling points are on top of the rails instead of the side. But that's a design problem. Other than that its pretty wicked. I got it from cheaper than dirt for $60. There were cheaper but I didn't want it to break. This one was right in the middle of dirt cheap and break the bank expensive.

  • Hey good to see you got it, I told you, you would like it. I love mine, and don't worry about the mil-spec, that rifle will do anything my M-4 will do, but fire full auto. good video to.

  • What brand is your quad rail system? I just bought a Carbon 15 and would like to accessorize.

  • Great video, well done!

Awesome first rifle, it won't be your last ;)

  • Good video! I'm thinking about getting one!?

  • @blackhawkbluedog1 yeah man its a sweet rifle. I'm really glad I purchased it myself. I'm glad you've had great luck with the pistol version. I think Bushmaster really stepped up the game with the carbon 15

  • iam a proudly owner of a carbon15 pistol since 2006 never a missfire never feeding problem worst every penny I paid for it i had been fire almost any kind of ammo through it PMC remington winchester wolf brown bear sellier and bellot anyway all kind of ammo with any problem on my carbon 15 97S pistol

  • Yeah, thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for the review. Very helpful.

  • Its a good rifle for the the beginner shooter in that caliber class. But ill stick to my metalic body mil-spec.I just dont trust plastic to all the pressure's and shock those rifles go thru.

  • @TAMYCRON its hard to say wether or not to give it away. Why was it given to you for free? Was their something majorly wrong with it? I'd suggest taking it to your local gunshop and have them look at it for you if your not familiar with weapons. But as far as "plastic guns" go, carbon fiber is not plastic. Its carbon fiber. Its carbon that has been reinforced with a high quality high impact resin. Its %40 stronger than the anodized aluminum AR's.

  • @vutypes, mil spec directly means "military specifications" and can be applied to any number of items of gear. But when reffered to a weapon it commonly pertains to barrel twist rate, length, type of barrel, buffer tube, and the amount of abuse the rifle can take before it fails or breaks completely. The military generally has a high standard for their weapons, due to the high amount of usage and abuse they go thru daily.

  • I got one of these for free, should I sell it or hold onto it? I am scared of plastic guns. Look at the reviews on the internet, these things break apart.

  • What does mil spec mean??

  • @vutypes military specifications

  • So what I did was just used a copper wire bore brush and smoothed it out. I'm sure u could use a polishing dremmel tool to if u have it. But yeah, I hope that helps. And happy shooting man :)

  • @raidermike2005 one thing I would suggest though dude, is when ur cleaning it, check the feed ramps and where they make contact with the lower reciever. because literally the week after I made this video. I started having feeding issues. But it was due to some burrs or whatever, where the feed ramps meet the lower reciever. The ramps don't go all the way down into the reciever, so the carbon fiber was a little jagged and the neck of the casings were getting hung up.

  • @raidermike2005 hey thanks for the comment man, and congrats on the purchase! But yeah dude, I don't know what that's about. Maybe it was just in my area that that deal was going on...? But anyway, I hope u enjoy ur rifle.

  • Thanks for the review. I just got one @ Sportsman's Warehouse for $679. Only came with one mag and a 3 position butt stock. What's up with that!?

  • @cowboy80881 so you can fire .223 out of a rifle chambered for 556 but its ill advised to fire 556 out of a .223 chambered rifle due to the higher pressures of the 556 round. The casing dimensions of both rounds are pretty much the same. The only main difference is the length of the actual projectile and the pressures created.

  • @cowboy80881 yes, you can fire 556 and .223 out of the same rifle because the projectile that is fired is the same, which is a .22 caliber bullet. However 556 is a little bit longer in length and is usually chambered in more higher pressured loads. Its designed that way because its purpose was to destabilize upon impact, in turn causing a more significant wound channel and pattern.

  • So u can shoot 556 and 223 outta the same rifle? I thought there were 2 different models

  • @cowboy80881 they are calibers that are technically the same. one is military (5.56 x 45) and .223 remington
