They sure are. Even while watching the Dem Convention--my own party--I feel like my brain has been stuffed in an old tuna can and is being kicked around on the curb.

Conventions are insulting to anyone with intelligence above that of a 5-year-old (or anyone who chooses not to put that intelligence in cold storage until the damn thing is over).

Paterson seems pretty cool, though. But I'm used to people letting us down--just at the moment when I cautiously start to let myself like them.
