K STEW has green eyes this song has be about her I was seeing the whereabouts of NATALIE WOOD LONDON 1969 NEW YORK CITY 1972 and CHICAGO 1975 someone was following her then Kristen Is going to those 3 cities or has been or will be there one man the son's natalie and the soulmate of kristen sounds about right.
I have a blind date with a green-eyed redhead in about half an hour... Man, I hope she's as cute as she sounds... I had to rock out to this song first.
@iheartZildjian Cuter. It went well; I'm waiting to hear back from her. I think I'll wait a while to tell her that I want to play this at our wedding.
I was in Jr. High School when this was on top 40 RADIO...every once in awhile a song would hit the pop charts and be played and it cut through all the clutter and crap...This was one of those like Steppenwolf's Majic Carpet Ride and Santanna's Black Magic Woman...Just cool tunes...
Little do many people know, the paino/keyboard in their songs was created by a man named Robert Mohney from Nelsonville, Ohio. He also made music with the Casinos. Thats my grandfather.
This won't mean much to anyone but, I remember a friend's band covered this tune in the late 80s and just nailed it. Band called RISK. Far as I know, they never went anywhere. Also did a killer rock instrumental cover of Miles Davis' 'So What'.
I remember being in my 7th grade classroomn 1970 which was right next to an alley and it being almost 2:30 before the bell rang and some car passing bye the alley blazing this song out loud and everybody in the classroom grooving to it. lol! Funny how certain moments in life stay in ones mind even 41 years later
I've never even heard of Sugarloaf until I came across this post.I like this a lot(especially when I've got a little something burning lol.)What I need is some suggestions for some more jamming Sugarloaf songs.I would really appreciate it!:)
I was born in the 70s, so I heard songs like this. I grew up more in the 80s and enjoyed my 20s in the 90s. I feel I was born in the right era. I got to experience all this music that young kids today don't often know about
This was one of my favorite songs when I was a teen... still is actually. After hearing the songs about blue eyed blonds my whole life, this green eyed, brunette finally had a song of her own.
This is the 45 RMM version, a small record with only one song per side and turning faster than the Long Plays of 33 RPM. The Album version is somewhat longer but I liket better. The song is an eternal hit.
@m1kewithaone Was there a guy in the band named Bob Lewis? Met someone by the name that was the right age and said he had played with Sugarloaf. Can't find any information about him though.

From someone called cat eyes all her life. Beautiful song. U would think there would be more green eyes songs as they really are a lot more rare than any other color....
This was the 45rpm version. The longer version almost 3 times longer, found on the 331/3 album version, and maybe on some of today's CDs. I was stationed in Bermerton, Washington with the US Navy when this song came out in September of 1970. It made #3 on the Billboards Top 40. Jerry Corbetta, Bob Webber, Bob Raymond, and Bob MacVittie made up this Rock Group from Denver, Colorado. Myron Pollock replaced MacVittie in 1974. Great song!
theyre doing studies now how personality coincides with the color of your eyes, and supposedly people with green eyes (ladies in particular) have more sexually devious personality traits ;)
look at those fucking bell bottoms! you cant go wrong with that. why did that style of clothing die off so quickly it has more personality anything else. Along with the great fucking tunes
Back when you were single and all women were possible. Huh, I married a long cool woman in a black dress, half Philippino and very sleek in a black dress.
When I first listened 2 this song I thought that it could be a like sort of a theme song 4 Scooby-Doo.You know how when their runnin from a bad guy they could put this song on when their runnin from a bad guy

@variedmusiclover From what I understand, everyone has a brown base eye color. Then there are blue, green and yellow pigments. If you only have yellow pigments, then your eyes will appear hazel. If you have all pigments then your eyes may appear blue, green or grey depending on the lighting. That's where the confusion sets in. it depends on the light reflecting off your eyes how they will appear.
