  • This won't mean much to anyone but, I remember a friend's band covered this tune in the late 80s and just nailed it. Band called RISK. Far as I know, they never went anywhere. Also did a killer rock instrumental cover of Miles Davis' 'So What'.

  • since it's humanly impossible to dislike this song, an alien hunt is mandatory for fifteen "humans."

  • it gives you a feel of a sweet time.

  • love that groovy organ baby

  • how the f did the first comment lead to the second comment up top?

  • One of the best Hammond Organ solos ever, in my opinion........

  • @TheGreeneyedblonde72 -I'm not, and I love this song! I'm brown eyed and I hate "Brown Eyed Girl."

  • 13 people never had a Green Eyed Lady!

  • I was born in the 70s, so I heard songs like this. I grew up more in the 80s and enjoyed my 20s in the 90s. I feel I was born in the right era. I got to experience all this music that young kids today don't often know about

  • This was one of my favorite songs when I was a teen... still is actually. After hearing the songs about blue eyed blonds my whole life, this green eyed, brunette finally had a song of her own.

  • Search for Pat Travers' version of this song on this site.

  • Women, including green-eyed ones, are one of the great things that makes life worth living!

  • This is the 45 RMM version, a small record with only one song per side and turning faster than the Long Plays of 33 RPM. The Album version is somewhat longer but I liket better. The song is an eternal hit.

  • i was 16 when they came to put on a concert in our high school gym in 1970.

  • @m1kewithaone Was there a guy in the band named Bob Lewis? Met someone by the name that was the right age and said he had played with Sugarloaf. Can't find any information about him though.

  • what year?

  • this recording is OFF SPEED, it's way too fast

  • I was in a school. Smoke weed every Day. To all you green eyed Ladies out there Keep on keepin' on =D. To the people who feel the need to argue posts on youtube. I feel sorry for any establishment that claims to have fostered your linguistic ability. 420.

  • CAN'T GET ENUF OF THIS!!!!

  • estos musicos vienen de otra galaxia

  • I had forgot all about this song, thanks for posting. it is beautiful and timeless!

  • Why post this short version (3:43)? The 6 minute plus version has all the good stuff missing from this short version.

  • absinthe?

  • This was the 45rpm version. The longer version almost 3 times longer, found on the 331/3 album version, and maybe on some of today's CDs. I was stationed in Bermerton, Washington with the US Navy when this song came out in September of 1970. It made #3 on the Billboards Top 40. Jerry Corbetta, Bob Webber, Bob Raymond, and Bob MacVittie made up this Rock Group from Denver, Colorado. Myron Pollock replaced MacVittie in 1974. Great song!

  • ok mr cheese cut with the nonsense.this was when getting bell bottom pants was a big thing.

  • theyre doing studies now how personality coincides with the color of your eyes, and supposedly people with green eyes (ladies in particular) have more sexually devious personality traits ;)

  • @cheesischrist Deviant being a subjective opinion......

  • @wontgoaway ok sure whatever it was kind of meant to be a joke, but yes your correct it is a subjective opinion

  • look at those fucking bell bottoms! you cant go wrong with that. why did that style of clothing die off so quickly it has more personality anything else. Along with the great fucking tunes

  • @koolinturn You mean Chuck Norris' house that he lets GOD live in.

  • this song was the one of the worst songs of its time

    honestly

it caused the bands downfall eventually

  • @Momentimum yeah starting with waiting for the sun by the doors. point proven

  • @jjk696969 lawl you fail.

  • Green eyes are the rarest colour eyes.

  • MEMORIES OF FRESHMAN YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL

  • I miss the 70's.

  • The people who disliked this must've been too drunk to hit the thumb they were intending.

  • Does anyone know roughly when this song came out?

  • @slowscort

    1970

  • @excellentyogurt Ah same year as the motor im putting in my truck

  • I didn'tr really care much for this song when I first heard in 1970. I ddin't dislike it, but I was hardly a fan of it. Then sometime in the late 80's or early 90's, I bought an album of early 70's songs ( I think it was Rhino's "Have a Great Day" collection) and 20 years later it suddenly hit me, this is great song.

  • almost lost my green eyed lady due to my own stupidity. but she's still here right by my side and i dont deserve her.

  • i first heard this when i was in florida visiting relatives for 4 months . just reminds me of those lazy sunny days cycling down to the coast and strolling along the beach ,sigh , good days and this will always remind me of them :D

  • Pablo Cruise - Runnin, Fleetwood Mac - Hypnotised

  • Too young... R.I.P. Jeanne...

  • Those who voted thumbs down are people who can't appreciate SWMs - Songs With Melodies.

  • this song is so eerie and kind of ethereal

  • 8 people have a brown-eyed girl.

  • Love this song! My all time favorite...I have green eyes!...giggles

  • I have blue green eyes (more green) but these days, everyone is so jealous of eye color, no one wants to believe they are real. We live in a world where everyone assumes you are a brown eyed person, wearing colored contacts. I don't understand why so few people can believe that those of us with naturally blue & green eyes do exist! I've personally seen that men do not care much about what color of eyes a woman has! This is a jealousy that women have towards each other, only!

  • @variedmusiclover From what I understand, everyone has a brown base eye color. Then there are blue, green and yellow pigments. If you only have yellow pigments, then your eyes will appear hazel. If you have all pigments then your eyes may appear blue, green or grey depending on the lighting. That's where the confusion sets in. it depends on the light reflecting off your eyes how they will appear. That's why you will hear many people say, "sometimes my eyes are this, sometimes that"-not one color
