I'm always happy to help with gerbil training! ;D

it depends how old they are, how long youve had them and how tame they are. your gerbils need to be fully tamed before even attempting to train them. because if you do so before then your gerbils will see agility as a threat. once they fully tame then you can start with very few easy obstacles, see my video How To Train a Gerbil but if you need more detailed advice then send me a message.

I am working on it. LOL I have four gerbils right now. I also have a hamster and mouse I will be training...having a ball with them. I am excited to see the small animal agility becoming so popular. You have done *much* to help this....great training!! Keep posting your videos!!

Lol I have the money. I would soo get a gerbil but I cant do that to Chevy...(my hamster) Or my dog.. My dog got mad enough when i bought Chevy if I brought another one in he wouldent "talk" to me in like a week..I Just want to get some more jumps right now.. Because Chevy is beginning to follow my hand

Lol I used to have a toy barn with fences... When I saw this video I'm like "Why in the world did i throw that away?". I have got my hamster doing a course right now.. He climbs up a ladder i buily walks on a skinny edge then jumps down in a special place.. then he jumps 5 jumps.. He perfected it in 15 minutes!!Sorry I have never heard of the schleich fences..I will look into them though

yeh, thats ok, gerbils are very fun yaknow, they are completely different pets to hamsters, they seem the same, sorta look the same, but there completely different, maybe you should get a gerbil, if you have the money, and the time.......

1 question how did you train that gerbil to do that? I have been trying to get my hamster to jump more but I want to add more jups...But I cannot find any jumps where did you get yours?

well, the jumps at the first bit, Schliech. its a german company where they sell toy figures. they also sell toy farm animals, toy stables, fences...and jumping fences, if you go onto the internet and type in schliech, then you could buy some. it is about 12.00 for a pack of 4.

P.S. please comment if you do buy the schleich fences, because I usesed to work at the Schleich factory in Germany! I designed the jumps!

the the rest of the fences I built with builing blocks.

also, it is very hard for hamsters to show jump, the easyist rodent to show jump is a rabbit, then a rat, then a gerbil, and the hamster is the last one on the list, but Im sure youll manage!
