I say clear the entire car out, then pack everything into ordered and labeled plastic bins. One for electric stuff, one for toiletries, one for clothing and blankets, etc.

Then, you could secure the bins to the sides of the inside of the car with some duct tape or something.

I would highly recommend getting a trangia, it's an absolutely wonderful bit of design, It's tiny and easy to cook a full meal on or make a decent cup of tea, you won't regret investing in a decent model. I also have a mini 12v fridge for food, milk and cold drinks, a first aid kit, a 12v heating mug for coffee, and baby wipes to clean hands before cooking. Otherwise your car looks remarkably like mine !

Hey thunderf00t,

Something that has been very useful for me, much more useful than a generator: buy a $25 power inverter and a $100ish wet cell battery. you'll be able to trade off the battery already in your car with the 2nd one, and just attach the inverter to whichever battery you need for electricity. I charge/power my laptop, cell charger and camera charger with a 400 (constant) watt inverter I found at Shucks for $25. If you haven't yet, give that system a try!!
