  • This is class considering the way you have to structure and sync with groove gear, really enjoyed it.

Get your hands on an EMX, you will do wonders with that!

  • amazing composition! 8:50 started such a sick sounding acid bassline! me encanta tío! buenísimo

  • @giveupthepfunk Thank you! Se agradece el comentario ;)

  • Lampy> Please are you playing those 2 machines together - one song on both or you are mixing them - (one track from mc and then one track from rs)

  • Hi!!! I use all the machines that you can see together. For example the first kick & snare are from Em-1, the piano chords from Mc-909, percussion loops from rs-7000...

  • Yeah master Lampy---he helped me too to get started on my MCs

  • hey! you dont need a master! hehe ;)

  • Comment removed

  • i 2 hav a 909,r u jus using d preset patterns r did u create ur own nd if so how

  • hi! i use my own patterns, if easy, i rec the parts that i need for the pattern. I normally work with short patterns, and always working in pattern mode.

  • This is realy,realy,realy,realy GOOD!!!!!

  • very very very very thanks

  • Really good, except that whistle sound is LAME.

  • Thanks, something was wrong hehe

  • 很带劲...

  • Very thanks for your comment! and thanks to google translator hehehe

  • greeting from malaysia lampy,

how u sequence all the tempo .are you using midi or there's other way?

  • Wow! Malaysia!! is farrr hehe!

i use the rs-7000 like a master and the rest like slave.

i have one interface midi (edirol um-880) to routing the midi connections.

  • gokill... Gorilla CokiLLL

  • Hi dria, sorry but my english its not perfect and i'm not sure that you want to say me :p

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have MC-909 myself....time for the RS-7000 also I guess =)

    really really great stuff...105%

  • Thanks GA5ch0k0 if you have mc-909 i recommend you rs7000. It's a explosive combination :D

  • ..u bet...the RS-7k is the next thing on my list (are´nt that expensive anymore)

just listening to this mix of urs while typing these words....hey, all I can write is that ur sounds r overwhelming...beieve me I don´t write that too often

  • what's the real reason for the RS7000 besides the MicroComposer 908 ?

I know polyhony is a weak point but I'm expanded it with a Yamaha TG-500 actually.

    Please explain me the pros.

    Really cool music anyway :)

  • I mean MC909...

  • Sorry!!! I just saw your comment in the thread. The main advantage of the mc909 is the quality of the sounds and the ease to create patterns.

The main advantage of the RS7000 its the control of the sounds & sequences. This is the reason because i say that the combination of both are incredible!!

    Greatings from Spain ;)

  • I've got the MC-909 already... the question pointed to the intuitive part of the rs7000...

But I think actually I will get a Korg MS2000R even.

    Cheers from Hungary :)

  • just added to my favorites...girl friend told me to turn it down. I said no. :P

  • Thanks for add to your favorites ;)

    Greatings from Spain

  • This is the best performance I have seen/heard from someone using equipment other than turntables on this website. Absolutely awsome!

I myself have an MC-505. Would you recommend getting an 808 or a 909?

    Saludos.

  • Hola!! Thanks for your comment, i think that the 909 option its better because have more knobs for control, if you like play lives its the better option. The 808 its better for studio. Saludossss!

  • Grande Lampy!!!!!

  • Hombreeee Nehon!! me alegro de verte por aki!! Gracias por tu comentario tioooooo!! Saludoss

  • awesome!!

  • thanks for your comment dandaman!!

  • not bad my friend!!

  • i ust kick the shit out of my eqiups

  • Calm friend, with patiently and dedication you will have good results

  • woha. pure gayhouse a la early 90s. go for it johnny! XD

  • Thanks for your comment!! ;D

  • Hi dude! ) May be you can say me what is the better using of korg esx-1 and Roland mc-909 together? Plug them by midi and use one of them as controller for other one?

    Cheers

  • Hi!! Is best to take all the tracks used by both machines.

For this you need config either like a master midi and the other like a slave, later you need to config the master midi for send only midi-clock.

For example, if you use MC-909 like master midi, you can see in the patch play screen the option to change SEQ (INT/EXT/BOTH).

If you select INT you don't send notes by this channel to the same ESX-1 channel

  • Wow sounded great once you brought in the piano. Tight drums, and good sound quality too :)

  • sorry for my response delay. thanksss for all the people who write comments here :)

  • As others wrote, I don't like the style very much, but what you've done is very good indeed. Keep up the cool work ;-)

  • thanks for your comment

  • Not my type of tune at all, but quality video.

You know what your doing man! :D

    5 stars

  • thanksssss

  • it's interesting how the mc 909 has a nice big screen and the later mc 808 doesn't.

I have the mc 303 which is really limited, but gets me to be creative

  • Yea I never understood that. I think the 909s were expensive to produce, so Roland used cost cutting measures when making the 808. I'd rather an 808 because it's design and engine are four years newer.

  • mc-303 is a legendary machine, treat it with care

  • RS fo' LIFE!!!

    da relic

  • Rs & Mc !!! hehehe

  • Fuck mate i dont like trance too much but you got me dancing in my seat great job

  • Thanks Joe We Dub!! Goodddd mixes!

    Greatings from Spain

  • Man, it's not my favorite style music but sounds veryyy good! )

  • Thanks for your comment San!! I like the Drum ecstasy :D

    Congratulations!

  • Is the midi controller going into the electribe?

  • Hi! thanks for the comment!

The midi keyboard is going to the mc-909, i have another keyboard for the rs-7000. But using edirol um-880 you can select the output.

  • Greate set! Nice how you use multiple grooveboxes to layer sounds, this makes the mix sound nice and full. The korg is only used for a little percussion background loop I guess?

I hope to get me some hardware too to add to my ableton live setup I use now.

  • Thanks Daiky! normaly a use korg like you said, but in this track i use for the main loop (kick, snare, hitats..)

I dont work with ableton live, but i watch here some people that use ableton with korg kaoss, or a standard midi keyboard controller.

  • good lord, that was great.

Which sequencer/sampler do you like more the rs7000 or the mc909? I was thinking about getting an electribe esx. I have an option to get an emx though. So many possiblities. What'cha think?

Man. This is an amazing track/performance the more I listen to it. Super!

  • Thanks!

roland and yamaha sequencers/samplers have characteristics very similar, perhaps roland is the best because have a better visual interface, but if i want to modify any part of the sequence while the reproduces yamaha wins.

I really think that both machines are complemented.

I could prove the EMX when it went on sale, is a machine that offers many possibilities to a fairly reasonable price.

    I see interesting combination EMX/ESX.

Greatings from Spain & thanks for your comment

  • Shit man! fair play! defo one of the best live sets I've seen on youtube...

  • Thanks Payterondputer!! your EMX is more beauty that my EM hehehe

  • you should seriously consider making a cd...it would really do well..

  • great job. seriously. I love it. I'm not sure why more musicians aren't getting their music in on stereo. This (the stereo and vid) really shows off the potential of your gear!

  • very thanks TenThousandFeetTall!! there is a manual to do it (get stereo sound) ;) you have a great stuff too!!

  • nice video dude... love the style of music. Well done , keep up teh good work!

  • thanks for your comment VestaxDj :D

  • Which one of your machines do you like the most? I bet its the RS7000

  • Hi Witfigotban, the RS7000 is more funny to live! but the mc-909 have best sounds. Greatings from Spain

  • Very nice video!!! That is the cool thing about live hardware performing, every set is different, you will never play something you already played, there will always be some other sounds etc!

    Cheers, keep on doing that!!!

  • Thanksssss Uldrik, i hope rec & upload new videos in a few time :D

  • Just a question iam concidering buying a mc-909 and i wonder how many colors dose the lcd have?

  • hi Rhizomorph, the display have only blue colour or invert colour. ;)

  • ok thx =)

  • Great show, I mean, you should do that in front of a crowd!!! Very fun!

  • Thanks a lot!! I love playing live, and i hope to show people what i do with the machines ;)
