I am highly considering this holster as I like the modular design and that you can take off the cowling and to carry with or without a light. Would you mind making a quick video of the holster with the light attachment on? I have looked all over the net and can't find any videos on it. You seem to have the best review on it.
@chanderson1 No reason to go out of the way to do it unless they will just send you one. I think you would have a lot of interest in it though as like I said I can't seem to find a video on it anywhere. I just basically wanted to see retention and draw with it.
@GenXPatriots okay, that works for me. I normally dont run a light on any of my secondary weapons so I would also have to get a light along with the cowling.
@jordanrocks2321 I'm not quite sure, but I wouldn't see why not. It's only the lower cowling that is shaped to the pistol and adds a bit of retention. The upper section of the holster has adequate room to fit most service pistols and sight options.
This is an excellent review! Well thought out and executed! I work in this industry and use this as a recommendation on a weekly basis... now I have a video to link people to. Thanks for your time!
i really like the idea of this holster... but i want to get the light system with it, so im looking at $130 :( .... if i buy new i think im gonna go with it... but i seriously need to find something used at this point lol
Seems like quite a well-built holster! There's many good features incorporated into it. Definitely not a bad option for Military/LE personnel as well if they get to choose some of their own stuff.
@SnowLobo95 Yes, its really cool to have the option of a light with this holster. Also, the black upper and tan lower section looks awesome on this holster. Once I figure out which light I want to get, I am going to order the tan lower for it. As always, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Snow!

@AmmoTech07 Thanks for the tip. I am planning on buying some more gear from them and I'll definitely make sure I join the mailing list. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Great review Chanderson! The build quality seems to be extremely high on that thing. It's more like pistol armor than a holster..haha! I'll be needed an x400 holster soon and this might be the one. Thanks for taking the time to make this fantastic vid buddy!
@Patriot36 The holster is really well built and a solid design. Also the advantages of having the ability for so many different mounting options with one holster is a incredible. As always, your opinions and comments are great appreciated. Take care.
@theArmedJanitor Hi, I actually tried mine on a 1.75" belt just to test it out and it works just fine. My attachment was made for molle but It may fit a 2" belt. You dont have to get the attachment like mine. They do have an attachment specifically made to fit a 2" web belt for the RTI wheel.
@pjicleanair420 You'll be very happy and suprised at the quality if the G-Code line of holsters. More solid feeing than Serpas and the materials are made to last.
@MrSteve65 I would email or give them a call. They are very helpful and may give you some kind of idea on when they may release one for you model pistol.
Great Vid! I have seen G-Code in the past but really didnt think much of them but now that I have several holster from Blade Tech, Blackhawk, Serpa, and Safariland its like having a need for a different holster depending on the task or what I am doing. THe G-Code seems like an excellent value with all the extra add-ons
@af22raptor23503 With so many mounting options, I think these holsters are a great idea. Very versatile and extremely well built. Dollar for dollar, these are the best "tactical/duty" holsters I've come across. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
@biguy525 I think it would be worth your while to look at these as an alternative to the mainstream holsters. They are made of high quality materials and very solidly built.
@URBANAMERICANTAC I've been looking at a few different models. I dont want to spend too much but really dont want to get something cheesy either. I was looking at the Insight Technologies MX3. Do you have an
@chanderson1 i have a g17 with the x400. i had the x300 on an xd45. sold the x300 to a buddy. for some reason i am just hooked on that x400 with the trigger guard switch.

@GenXPatriots hi, sorry but currently I don't have one of these with the light cowling. Give a few weeks to see if I can get one from gcode.

Do you know if the top part of this holster is able to be used with other guns if you purchase a different cowling?

That's cool to be able to change up the holster to accept a light accessory. I really like the RTI setup...it looks like it works nicely.
