  • He scared me at the end :/

  • ese es el rey

  • here is the heart of all good music. I am so subscribing to your vids

  • The greatest preformance ever!

  • Elvis you will never be forgotten !!!! happy birthda to the KING

  • Happy birthday Elvis!! -3

  • Was number 1 in Feb 1954...

  • If only the stupid females could stop shrieking away!

  • so elvis is the one who invented the STANKY LEG?! @ 1:30

  • @musickiid05 Elvis also invented rockabilly in 1955 with That's Alright Mama!

  • could elvis even play guitar cause he played three notes..

  • @rodrigo95ify elvis was an amazing guitarist! listen to blue suede shoes

  • 3 people are ain't nothing but hound dogs!!!!!

  • This song, for some reason, resources my soul. I wish I were there to see him shine on stage. He will always be my king

  • 1:23 the bass player omg im dying

  • Okay, as a female, I'm going to be one of the many to say Elvis had an awesome voice and was pretty damn cute, and that I could stare at him forever. But seriously, I wish those stupid girls would just SHUT UP. I can hardly hear him above all that prepubescent screaming.

  • @cazonetta Then you should get the studio recording and listen to that. There's a big difference between live shows and studio productions. This clip is history.

  • @John1948FourC Yes, that's true. I was running across various clips and just found this.

  • @cazonetta not trying to start something but if you were at an elvis show, youd be screaming y our friggin head off too

  • This is why Elvis was THE KING

  • @ChuChu353 was? he still is

  • @BoredNeedToLOL *sigh* OK I'll rephrase my comment since literalism is so important. Elvis was (during his natural lifetime) The King. Elvis is (since he is the embodiment of all that is truly great about rock n roll) still The King.

    Better now???

  • this was on my birthday. except probably a couple forty years or so later

  • Wow, elvis just needed to swing his leg a bit to get all girls screaming, and , today........ no comments

  • hahahahahhahahahaha, 1:20 ish when he dances and one of the players steps back hahahaha!

  • El rey de reyes

  • Hard to believe a few weeks before this, Perry Como was near the top of the charts with Hot Diggity Dog Ziggity Boom.

  • RIP Elvis. 34 years ago today :(

  • I am proud to say I was one of the teen- agers in the fifties who helped to launch his career ........

  • @bluegibby7 You're so lucky :)

  • i love him

  • Heartbreak Hotel - 1:22 - For You !

  • lol the bassist! 1:22

  • I LOVE Elvis, but it was kinda lame of him to he act as if he was doing the guitarsolo at 1:23 hahaha.

  • @RmonSP

Dumb head. He features Scotty Moore. It is very obvious who is doing the solo, no fake on Elvis part. That's what you wannobees just can't stand, right?

  • @RmonSP Elvis never acted like he was doing the guitar solo here. Everyone who watches this video knows that Scotty is doing the solo. Looks like the one doing the rambling is you. Don't tug on Superman's cape.

  • ohh how the girls would go crazy for him ! <3

  • Magic - What a talented Soul - WOW - electric

  • elvis was soooo dangerous back then!

  • I love Elvis, but I also love the Jonas Brothers, Is there a problem with that??? I just don't get it... stop talking crap about other people and try to understand that there are a lot of different tastes in music and some of them just love a little bit of everything

  • Very very nice

  • I just finally realized that this where the rock got smackdown hotel from...

  • I think the reason why girls find guys with guitars hot is cause of Elvis. From our mothers to us-it's genetic. We just naturally try to find the Elvis to our body and soul.

  • first there came elvis, then the beatles, then the jonas brothers, now justin beiber

  • @ThunderX19 Yeah - sad isn't it?

  • @John1948FourC yeah, i alsop found out justin beiber might play mikey in the remake of the goonies

  • @John1948FourC yeah, first came true singers then the fake singers came in 2001.

i miss when people sing true from they's voice. don't you?

  • @ThunderX19 I am 13 and thinking about the fact that music these days sucks makes me cry ;o

    Elvis is the best

  • @UnknownKiddie yeah

  • @ThunderX19 its actually Evlis, then The Beatles, then Iron Maiden, then Metallica, then Pantera, then Trivium

these inspirations go in that order

  • @ThunderX19 i was good till jonas brothers and justin beiber

  • @Evanesence666 exactly

  • @ThunderX19 So you see how walk the society... increasingly behind

  • @ThunderX19 i was good until the jonas bro's and justin beiber

  • @ThunderX19 Elvis was the of the best of the best > then and now in always and for all time in all ways .

  • @ThunderX19

    First came Elvis.

    Then came --- nothing!

  • @ThunderX19 Meh, there's always been "teen heartthrobs," even in The King's day.

  • @ThunderX19 : Those last two don't even belong next to Elvis or The Beatles. They're just eye candy for 10 year olds girls and will come and go just like nsync and that other group. Elvis is loved among all ages, and The Beatles are pretty historic in their own right.

  • @Slvrbuu Jeez, he posted 5 months ago. Let it go people...

  • does anyone have a time machine on them?

  • Jabroni drive into the smackdown hotel :D

  • god created the worl in 6 days, the seventh day he rested, the 8th day he created elvis

  • @koolone318 Very well stated !!

  • Elvis is the King ever and Forever

  • This is a legendary performance !! He was approaching super star status, and in the next 6 months he was a household name. This is probably the wildest performance before a filmed TV show as after this show he would not be filmed from the waist down. But this show so shows what a typical performance of his was like.

  • swag

  • 1 ppl fainted from the audience's screaming

  • The only thing that ruins flawless performances like this for me is the screams!?

  • @heb1114 Being a teenager of that time, the screams added to the overall excitement of the performance. The girls simply let go back in the 50's after decades of an uptight society.

  • When he shakes his hips, it gives me butterflies. You know I'd totally be in the audience screaming my head off!

  • 20 years old here, can't even drink yet!

  • I was born in the wrong time T___T

  • It woulda been awesome to see the king in concert!

  • Elvis Presley- The Big Bang of Rock & Roll!

  • Elvis did this song on the Tommy Dorsey show which was truly amazing as Dorsey was pure establishment. Too bad Elvis didn't do this song on the jealous Steve Allen's

show. This is a very rare capture of the Dorsey performance by him.

  • @jbrauthor Thanks. With that clue I was able to also find the date it aired and have added it to the title.

  • lol the guy got scared at 1:28

  • The army took Elvis from us. Damn them forever.

  • the music God

  • his voice is one of a kind that all ages can listen to and enjoy!!!!!!!

  • @WhatTheForce totally true !

  • Sexiest man ever !!!

  • my boyfriend

  • Every time he shakes his pelvis, the women scream hysterically! This man must've been the direct cause for every teenage girl's sexual awakening in the 50s.

  • iwant to ask you folks a question if had a career like elvis presley can you handle the world at your feet ? elvis learned his stage moves in churches before he was famous

  • in 1956 officially born the Rock and Roll...I love Elvis =)

  • Comment removed

  • we have another song here friends...hahahahaa..lovely southern twang...Sing it boy at ;52

  • I wish the 1956 Elvis could have stuck around for another 10 yrs or so....The Hollwooddization and black hair polish ruined the best rock artist ever

  • @eb641 I pretty much agree. Sure he had some great songs later but not like the early stuff which was magic.

  • @eb641 Agreed, Sun records/ Early RCA Elvis is the greatest recording artist ever. 68 Special was his rebirth, it helped wash the stink of the Colonel Parker movie machine

  • @eb641

I disagree, lot of great stuff later on. Just watch his 1970s performances. Just unbelieveably great.

  • Tbh if i was one of those girls irl be the same :D Hehe ♥

  • lmaoo the hirls scream for 3 seconds and they stop :))

  • Listening to this makes me feel like I am in a cool part of the movie walking in slow motion while a nice looking woman gives me the eye...

  • Damn, girls. Chill! :D

  • the king!

  • i say the king was more popular than mj, sorry mj fans
