yeh, middle aged guy, very nice, very good with 2cv's, had a ami8 and a few kit cars. i dont dare phone him to ask if he has any spair's as i promissed 2 look after her.

It was then MOT'd, the supercharger taken off, had a few bits done to it & was sold during the international at Bicton in 1999. It was up for 895 i think. Did you buy it from Barry Bowles a few months back for 200 quid?

wow thanks for tthe info, i didnt have aclue about any of that untill now, which makes me feel even sadder, after it had a slight accedent while a friend was driving it (hit 2nd gear insted of 4th and cracked the near side head, and i havnt yet found a new 1), and yes i did buy if for about 200quid but i dont no the name of the person (he was from stowmarket in suffolk if it helps?)

That 2cv used to belong to a bloke called Guy Betts - it used to run a supercharger. Pete Sparrow had a lot to do with the development (IIRC). It had something like 8-10k spent on it, then started giving trouble. It was advertised in the Feb or March 1998 Club mag for something like 400 quid - i was up at Pete's place a couple of days after the mag came out & he'd already bought it.

Is that a standard amisuper engine? is it on the ami chassis too?

yeh the engine is compleatly standard as far as i know, the guy i bought it off has made a custom exhaust system for it thought and adapted a 2cv chassis and gearbox to take the engine
