my friend has a 200 blaster and i have a 250 raptor and i have a fmf powercore 4 and itp holeshots and i can beat him from start to top speed but on dirt there damn near the same machine but the blaster is alot lighter

@BuggyMasters oof. Id take the blaster over the raptor. Yamaha had it well built and its a 2-stroke. easier to maintain and hard to blow up. Nice power, fast acceleration, short swing arm, what more can i add?

and after some Googling, " best sport atvs for bigger / taller riders " ....... those 2 along with a DS 650 were most recommended. I've always ran mostly Hondas...... and have been pleased with them over the years, but I think if I had to choose today, I'd go with the Yami Raptor 700. I've sat on, and wiggled around on the raptor and the Honda, and I like the feel of the raptor better, I'd say I test rode them, but slammin gears for 2 city blocks, doesn't warrant much. I still want more reviews

@Tbomb187 We owned the Bombardier 650 as well. Just haven't done the review on it yet. The DS650 is a physically large machine well suited for bigger riders. In addition, it may be the fastest top speed machine we have owned yet. They are definately the largest sport four wheeler we have had and worthy of checking out if you are a bigger guy wanting a sport machine. They are a little unusual with the fenders on the wheels but a very potent machine and their engines are one of the best made.

I'm actually surprised that raptor kept up as long as it did. I thought a blaster would flat smoke a 250 raptor, especially on top where the raptor top speed is 44mph. In the end I'd still rather have my kid on the lighter more "flickable" raptor. (we don't do much straight line pavement riding around here) LOL

I appreciate the blaster simply because it can go from the slowest quad to one of the fastest with very little dough. My friend soups up blasters and sells them, let me tell you after he soups them up he will keep up with the 450's, and destroy 400's!

Why is it always a fourwheeler vs a motorcycle. How the fuck is that fair. Ps I was In Colorado a while ago and 120 cc bike tried to race my raptor 250 special edition and got beaten by a good 100+ meters so this is a terrible view of how powerful the raptor is. I can get mine from 0-45 mph in about 6 seconds.

He got you on top end, Blasters are about 2mph faster stock. Switch to a 37 tooth rear and you will keep up. Switch to a 15 tooth front and you will beat him.
