I just want to add another comment showing complete disapproval of the shark fin soup. The reduction in shark population (which is now estimated to be about 80%) all over the world for various reasons is ruining the ocean's ecology -- it is easy to do some basic research on the subject. The killing of sharks for soup is contributing significantly to this problem. It's not about whether killing sharks or other animals is morally right or wrong. Don't be a dumbass.
Seriously, the two of you should do some research into the foods you eat before making silly videos about eating and supporting a business not unlike drug trafficking. Shark finning is a wasteful, unsustainable, and socially irresponsible practice. Hawaii has recently banned the sale, possession, and distribution of shark fins - while California, Oregon and Washington are following suit.
I rarely provide my input on videos, but this is simply ridiculous.

2) On what basis do you have to do educate us about Traditional Chinese Medicine. (TCM) People go to specialized school to get a degree to practice TCM. Sharks are NOT farmed, and not sustainable. 95% of sharks can NOT hurt you, and wouldn't try to. They are part of the ecosystem, and Chinese traditional medicine is a BLIGHT on the planet.

What is even more tragic is that many of their traditional remedies are proven to be completely ineffective by clinical trials, yet their cruel and ignorant traditions persist. @despondentblue The problem with shark fin soup is it's VERY inefficient. You need to kill a whole shark just to feed one person. Apex predators are also the least common on the food chain, and by inefficiently killing the shark you are actually having a huge impact on the ecosystem. Tuna and cows on the other hand can feed many, many people and are abundant.
@Hotrod768 Beef is incredibly inefficient to produce as well, and cows release huge amounts of harmful methane into the environment. As for tuna, go watch the documentary 'End of Line'. And just to clarify, I do not eat shark fin's soup.

It's disappointing that you would waste anyone's time on pseudoscience, but it is nice that you effectively said said that none of these foods work. It's hard to imagine that anyone does not know about the problem of shark fin soup. Not that I'm a fan of antler soup or wrecking birds' homes either. What is even more tragic is that many of their traditional remedies are proven to be completely ineffective by clinical trials, yet their cruel and ignorant traditions persist. @despondentblue The problem with shark fin soup is it's VERY inefficient. You need to kill a whole shark just to feed one person. Apex predators are also the least common on the food chain, and by inefficiently killing the shark you are actually having a huge impact on the ecosystem. Tuna and cows on the other hand can feed many, many people and are abundant.

Deer antler is hair. bird's nest is saliva. shark fin is cartilage. And none of them are chinese aphrodisiacs!! (I've been forced fed all of them since i was a kid.) Your "chinese traditional doctor" must have been laughing her head off when you guys left.
According to TCM, deer antler is for heart and liver problems, bird's nest and shark's fin are luxury/expensive food.

I live in Hong Kong, and they prepare the sharks fin in the alley below my apartment. It is a crime to eat the fins of shark for any reason. As a matter of fact new studies show that it can cause sterility in men.I also knew that birds nest soup was a delicacy but NEVER heard that it was an aphrodisiac.And as far as deer antler goes.Most of the time it comes from New Zealand and is mostly shipped to Korea.
