IMO Jaco is the Alpha and Omega when it comes to bass. All of these players are incredible artists but all resort to slap and pop to make their mark - Jaco used two fingers and played with more feel than any of these other bass players could ever hope to, even Victor and Marcus would tell you that. Oh yeah, Buckethead is NOT the best bass player on this list, sorry - it's almost comical to say that - lol

i liked marcus miller and victor wootens solos the most out of these. just as victor wooten once said; When you suport other musicians you are grooving. but when you start soloing many people stop grooving.

That totaly makes sense since both flea and buckethead are really just showing off technique in these solos in my opinion. but dont get me wrong, all of them are great musicians!

I think stuart zender should be in the video aswell, his grooves in early jamiroquai are the best
