  • Anyone know the intro song?

  • @Imesuckaholla Mr.Big - by british blues rock band, Free

  • SO be the best means to do SLAP??? i do not think so!

  • Les is playing 'the Glide' by a group called

pleasure. The original swings much harder.

  • How's the song called Les is playing?

  • buckethead doesn't get half on victor wooten and marcus miller.

  • Victor Wooten is BADASS

  • Who said that bass is useless? i'll break your fucking neck man! you don't know what you're saying you idiot feeling like a pro, poser! you don't hear bass because you are poser!

  • Best bass player?? Dave Ellefson of ]v[EGADET]-[!!! like if u agree

  • @satanburn6661 ha, no.

  • where is the true God?

i don't see the unbeatable billy sheehan here?

    suck!

  • Obviously victor wooten!!

  • Oh man, i like Les on the Bass

  • i fuckin' hate that asshole Buckethead!!!!

  • lol bass is so useless you cant even hear it. getaur is way harder and bass is really easy because it only has like 3 strings. duh this is not impressive, bass is pointless

  • @JUSTINBIEBERPWNS171 I play bass and guitar, and believe me, they are both hard for different reasons. have you tried playing the bass? obvously not, because you are stupid enough to think it has 3 strings. they have 4 or more, you ignorant fuck. I have played bass for 1 year and i cant even consider doing what this guy does. And also, your name is Justin Bieber Pwns... enough said

  • @RapAndChopin calm yourself. trolls live in these parts

  • @MikeKuhn4771 yeah thank you i've noticed... and who the hell names them self justinbieberpwns

  • @JUSTINBIEBERPWNS171 haters gonna hate :)

  • pookie bell brings out the best in marcus!!!!!

  • why do i see a whole lot of the drummer's foot and knot enough of flea.

  • what about jaco pastorius??

  • HURR I SLAP FASTER SO I AM BETTER BASSIST

Seriously, I love Les Claypool but a bass solo needs to keep the groove of the song going. Marcus Miller was the only good clip on there.

Where's the love for players like Pastorius?

  • Ahhh I'm so fed up of noobs that know only 4 or 5 bass players and think they're the beest! Arrrrghhhhhhhhhhh

  • I actually prefer the Marcus Solo. Its a groove bass solo.

  • The fact that Marcus Miller got last shows how big of idiots the voters are.

  • Les, Marcus, Flea, Buckethead, Victor are the bosses ! :)

  • "you're a fucking coon, nuff said, good day nigger, hope you're lynched soon enough."

    - KkahluaHero, in a private message to me.

  • Les Claypool <3

  • IMO Jaco is the Alpha and Omega when it comes to bass. All of these players are incredible artists but all resort to slap and pop to make their mark - Jaco used two fingers and played with more feel than any of these other bass players could ever hope to, even Victor and Marcus would tell you that. Oh yeah, Buckethead is NOT the best bass player on this list, sorry - it's almost comical to say that - lol

  • claypool is the most talented

  • bucketfuckinghead wins hands down. Buckethead is a fucking legend and he will not be appreciated until he's gone, one of the most gifted musicians ever.

  • Buckethead is like a hacker when it comes to guitar talent.

  • Marcus Miller forever!!

  • Les Claypool, Ryan Martinie.

  • what is the song at the begining?

  • Les, Flea, Victor, Robert, Roger, John, Geddy

    Good nuff?

  • Flea, Les, Marcus.

  • Jaco pastorius and Ryan Martinie

  • MM

  • i liked marcus miller and victor wootens solos the most out of these. just as victor wooten once said; When you suport other musicians you are grooving. but when you start soloing many people stop grooving.

That totaly makes sense since both flea and buckethead are really just showing off technique in these solos in my opinion. but dont get me wrong, all of them are great musicians!

I think stuart zender should be in the video aswell, his grooves in early jamiroquai are the best

  • Way not as good a John Entwistle, he moved his finger so fast they called him Thunderfingers.

  • BUCKETHEAAAAAD

  • a whole generation of bassists has been led down a path of percussive masturbation.

it's technically impressive but so is bending over & sucking ones own dick.

the roll of the bassist is to be the bridge between pure rhythm, & melody & never losing sight of the groove. larry graham from sly & the family stone, arguably the father of the percussive style used it for accents while primarily holding down a solid melodic groove.

these guys are all very talented but give me the lemon song any day

  • Mark King is missing go check some of his solo. Nice idea by the way ;)

  • Chuck Norris can play like these guys on a rubber band.

  • Flea, Marcus, Bucket Head and Claypool are the best i find

  • God I suck at bass now!

  • why didnt you include john entwistle? he's the best bassist of all time. even victor wooten and flea adores him.

  • Could have been a better representation of Wooten than the one in the video, but whatever...

  • did't know Will Farrell played drums!

  • I love flea, not his best here, but marcus miller for sure, he got tune rather then just shredding!

  • I'm missing Dexter Redding on the list

  • Comment removed

  • 3:00 WHOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Larry Graham > any other slap bassist

  • bass isnt even buckets home playing field you gotta give him props

  • Sixyspam has AT LEAST 3 accounts!! lulz...

  • I found nothing that impressive about buckethead on bass. I'm a huge flea fan but, Vic is the most accomplished bass player on this list.

  • les claypool > every other bassist

  • bucket head ain't even a bass player! You all gotta check out Thunder-thumbs!

  • the drummer for chili peppers looks like will ferrell

  • marcus miller is the boss=)

  • Buckethead, but then again it's not fair cause he's a robot.

  • i feel like if there were no bass, music would be boring.

  • Louis Johnson sure

  • cliff burton wins

  • Marcus miller the best !

  • hashah chad smith win xD xD xD

  • Victor Wooten plays the bass line and a melody on top... simultaneously... jeez!

  • @jdebruynviolin Check out Evan Brewer

  • @jdebruynviolin Check out Jean Baudin, Scott Fernandez, Evan Brewer, and any number of other people who use that exact same two hand tapping technique.

I'm not dissing Victor Wooten, I'm just saying that it's not that terribly impressive what he was doing in that particular clip.

  • Mike Dirnt, Matt Freeman, and Dee Dee Romone: best 3 bassist of all time

  • @greendaykicksass1101 guess what they all are children compared to nhop go to donna lee with nhop and joe pass you will thank me later

  • @raleiti guess what, look up matt freeman bass solo

  • 100 % FLEA !!!

  • @mertan0bajo Flea's technique is terrible...

  • @KkahluaHero Gee, I don't see any videos of YOU slappa' da bass... mmm, just the Guitar Hero.

  • @fifopher I can slap on bass, I play guitar, and I play drums, don't judge me based on what I upload, in fact I have guitar videos but I have no bass videos because I do not own a bass, I play bass whenever I can go to Guitar Center

  • @KkahluaHero Pics or it didn't happen.

  • @fifopher check your inbox nigger

  • @KkahluaHero Racist pussy bitch, go die. From a white person. You ignorant shit. You should've been swallowed.

  • fleaaaa win

  • none of these guys can hold a candle to Jaco Pastorius....the true genius of the instrument.

  • What about Music and soul?

  • I gotta say, that Victor Wooten solo is probably the worst I've ever heard him play. Soooo many better songs to examplify him.

  • fleas slap technique is amazing :D

  • Bucket' win!

  • how about billy sheehan.....?-.-

  • Slap that Bass!

  • well , i know the party's over but none of these float my bass boat. but, i would still like to be able to play as well as them. out of these i like les the best.

  • claypool is the best bassest out of theese peeps

but bucketead makes the best music

  • And JONH MYUNG ?? and SEAN MALONE?? and GEDDY LEE?? and STEVE HARRIS? Faltan un chingo.... se ve k de bajistas no saben k pex...

  • seinfeld immediately came to my mind when I heard the first few seconds of it

  • i play guitar, and i will say that bass is way underrated, as are most bass players

  • great solos!!!

  • Where's Ellefson?

  • Theirs a mistake for Flea's votes

i think you switch the numbers

    its 52 not 25

  • @BassPlayerofThe909 Surely, the truth

    Here's how it should be

  • who is Geezer? King of bass.....

  • PLAYING WITH YOUR FINGERS ON A BASS GUITAR IS JUST A LAME - ASS EXCUSE TO BE ABLE TO CALL YOURSELF A MUSICIAN ... ILL STICK TO PLAYING WITH A PICK CAUSE THEN I KNOW AT LEAST IM GOING OUT WITH STYLE AND A REAL BASS PLAYER ..

  • @leathergunn ALL CAPS IS NOT TROLLING CRUISE CONTROL.

  • @leathergunn gay & fake

  • Comment removed

  • Bass bores the shit outta me...why play it when you can play the guitar?

  • @KirbyOnCronic i think it's mostly based on personal preferations... i first picked up the guitar but i mostly wanted to play the bass... i can express my emotions a lot more with it than the guitar... as i said... personal preference and style is what makes you choose between the two...

  • @LamboLighting can you go into detail about how it could express your emotion more....It just seems that Bass has no range...it all sounds the same to me. Very Monotone and repetitive.

  • @KirbyOnCronic guess you should stop playing any instrument then... have no sense of musical hearing if it all sounds so monotone and repetitive to you...

  • no thanks....

  • @KirbyOnCronic it's totally based on which bassists you've heard... mostly in rock music the bass is as your saying monotone and repetitive but there are many other bassists who play with more feeling than that (mostly in jazz but not only) take for example my two favourite bassists, cliff burton and flea... listen to some red hot chili peppers and i'm sure you will change your mind about bassists ;)

  • Les Claypool - real God of the bass

  • very good

    مليح

  • No Geddy or Jaco :(

  • very good ..............go forward.........

  • fleaaaaaaaa

  • why are audio and video not synchronised in almost every music videos?

  • can someone help me find the whole marcus miller solo please:)

  • bass without jaco pastorius is like guitar without charlie christian..

  • Marcus Miller in this video.

    Mark King overall..

  • Buckethead is amazing but its all about Flea!! xD

  • @akumas07

they are just interestet in speed, and this is the most importend ability by playing bass, listen too Les claypool or marcus Miller they have groove, and that is what bass playing is about.

  • Marcus miller!!!

  • BOOTSY COLLINS, BITCHES! ;D

  • buckethead is a fucking genius

  • what about jaco pastorius ?

  • Wow, I didn't realize that Will Ferrell played drums in RHCP!

  • a very one sighted review , who ever posted this kinda didn't really do it justice , there is more than these particular bass players out there and many a different version of the clips you chose ............ i voted down ....

  • flea the undisputed boss. cant tell me nothing.

  • @spider5604

Er...this account is not actually Buckethead numbnuts

  • @Bucketheadhead oops sorry my bad:)

  • @spider5604 Are you new to the internet? Jesus christ

  • dude what the fuck you guys obviously just chose your favorite not the legitimate best marcus miller or victor wooten should have one honestly compared to them all of these guys are total trash their still good bassists i love flea hes one my personal favorites same with claypool but honestly no where near the galaxy that wooten is in

  • MArcus MIler Slap is Best Slap!

  • No love for Randy Coven, Stu Hamm, Billy Sheehan, Ghetty Lee, Chris Squire, JACO, or Percy Jones? Personally I prefer pocket players like JPJ, Steve Harris, and John Taylor and could do without all that bass wankin'. Ah, what the hell, give everybody a friggin' trophy!

  • @t7mackie yeah where is jaco?

  • A collection of slap bass solos and no Mark King? He may be the best of them all.

  • Claypool is the Bass-God....

  • Man, where is Squarepusher?? And how come that so far only ONE person has mentioned him? He owns every other bass player on the planet.

  • yeah, they are good, but if you want a real bassist, listen to Cliff Burton

  • @TacoNinja27 No listen to john entwhistle

  • I´m gettting fired up, listening to the first guy, how freaking funky and cool does that sound..to good!!

  • Buckethead sucks...!!! NOOOT :D

  • victor wooten fan for life

  • Forgot to mention MARK KING mate. If you forgot this Bass player, thatn what can you say about bass?!?

  • FLEA !!!!

  • but...where is billy sheehan? xD

  • there could have been a better part for wooten. all sick either way

  • You chose a really shit Wooten solo. His "Lesson" is fucking amazing

  • In terms of technical virtuosity, the best is Victor Wooten. This isn't even up for debate. But I don't like elevator music, so...

In terms of style, I prefer Les Claypool.

  • 5 stars

  • WTF!! bass tremolo!!!

  • Buckethead should just get the fuck out of bass playing....

  • FLEA AND CLAYPOOL #1

  • @ToterAlterMann666

there are plenty of non-slap solos available elsewhere on Youtube

  • @ToterAlterMann666 There is only one way not to like slap solo's and thats not being able to play them.

  • @bbBassYo

its true, but why you flame me?

  • @ToterAlterMann666 Sorry man, no harm intended. I just went like HUH,, and then i thought "ah yes" and i posted my comment. Anyway you should try it, slapping the bass :D

  • @bbBassYo but idotn like slap solos XD

  • @ToterAlterMann666 Learn some marcus miller lix or something, You'll probably change your mind ;)

  • @ToterAlterMann666

Maybe Slap solo don't like u

  • @ToterAlterMann666 not true, because I bet, you slap it solo, everyday in the bathroom!

  • buckethead can still play with these guys he has a new taste that these other players lack but, where they lack the new flavor they also make up for in tecnique and style. all around this was a good video of talent.

  • great stuff,all bass. all good. it's all rock'n'roll people !
