  • thanks, good to use as a reference :)

  • @Fine ArtEBooks what is that thing you use at 1:00 for erasing?

  • @elektrash17 It´s a kneaded eraser.

  • @FineArtEBooks thank you but i found it on my own.

  • Well, the shading is not good enough for calling it realistic and the upper lip is too plain...

  • I cringed so badly when he smeared with his hand :S lesson to all learning to draw: DON'T SMEAR WITH YOUR HANDS, FINGERS, ETC!

  • @WhoIsSalt1 Whatever works for you!! (just make sure your hands are clean and not greasy.)

  • @FineArtEBooks hi what kind of eraser do you use

  • @WhoIsSalt1 why?

  • @12strawberrylover your hands have different oils on them, and as a result, you lose the ability to erase proficiently and the texture of the piece becomes irritated when you smear with your hands or fingers.

  • @WhoIsSalt1 ah okay thank you for telling me that!

  • @WhoIsSalt1 Actually I've used my fingers, cotton swabs and paint brushes to blend. I think it's okay. Frankly I prefer the brush and cotton swabs, but if I don't have them available for whatever reason, use what you were born with to get the job done.

  • ...5 stars! nice wat type of pencil did you use?

  • @bananachocoroyal Thank you. I used HB and 3B leads in the lead holders.

  • @bananachocoroyal Dude.....The Youtube star feature went out 4 years ago.... Where you been?

  • @funnydudes216 Thanks. You can get them at any art store. They are called lead holders (for 2mm graphite leads). I normally use an HB and a 3B lead for my drawings. (And if it needs real darks then an additional 5B or 6B.)

  • natalie portman?

  • @FineArtEBooks very good im one of the best drawers in my school right now and i just wanted to thank u both for helping me find my talent:)

  • @SunStar515 Thank you and I´m glad to hear you are doing very well! Congrats!

  • thans for upload this video , i learn alot

  • @callmehaiify Thanks very much. I´m glad it helped! Did you see my new one on drawing a face?

  • @FineArtEBooks no , i havent watch , but i will like u to teach me how to draw hair step by step ~

  • @callmehaiify Ok. Thanks for letting me know. I will do one on hair in the future. For now you may want to watch my most recent video on drawing a face. That one also covers the hair. I hope it helps.

  • @callmehaiify ooops I answered you from my Spanish channel. But do look at the face video on this (FineArtEbooks) channel for tips on hair.

  • @FineArtEBooks it really help me to have a idea how to draw hair, thank ~

  • @callmehaiify Ok, I will definitely put the hair tutorial on my list :)

  • How can I draw smooth like that, every time I draw I get those sharp angles and border lines. I quit 4 years ago and now I regret it but I am starting to draw again. How do I make the sharp lines disappear and get a smooth curves like this? BTW I am starting from scratch again I wasn't the best when I used to draw but I was way better than where I am going to start from now.

  • @ZeMusalmanYem I´m glad to hear you are restarting to create! To draw smoother lines go lighter. Practice making very light lines that are barely visible. And then you can reinforce them as you shadow, but always leave the line barely visible (since in real life there are no lines, just changes of tone. Good luck!

  • @FineArtEBooks Thank you very much for the advise, I will start creating drawings and keep all of them to always look back and see where I came from :) + I'll subscribe to your videos so I can always come back and learn more. Cheers

  • @ZeMusalmanYem Sounds great, let me know how it goes!

  • some body give that girl some chap Stick!!! lol

  • @thegreatphenix hahahaha yes!

  • Wow, great picture! What is it for a song? That sounds super!

  • @Windflug1 Thank you! The song is called "the Tempest" by Taylor Cepea Hayward.

  • you can kill someone with that pencil. O__O

  • @AllyInspirit1 hahaha

  • I've tried this and the down line of the lip was way too visible and the shadows where too "perfect". Making those lines where the lip kind of looks "cracked" was also something that was too visible on my drawing. Oh well got to practice!

  • @TheEternalScream Yes, keep practicing. And you can try softening those lines by rubbing your finger or with a soft brush. Good luck!

  • @FineArtEBooks Thank you! Do you perhaps have any tips regarding the material you need to draw? I just used an ordinary pencil that was in my drawer here but it looks like i have to get some real charcoals one!

  • @TheEternalScream I personally prefer graphite to charcoal, but either one is best to get them at an art store as they will be of a much better quality (and you can get them in different graduations of hardness, to render lights and darks.) Also it is important that the paper is of good quality (like a drawing pad instead of regular paper for photocopies.)

  • @FineArtEBooks Thanks a lot for your answer! Will go next week to an art store nearby. And thanks for the paper tip, i did used just regular paper for printing lol.

  • @TheEternalScream You´re welcome! Let me know how it goes. ;)

  • @TheEternalScream ps: Did you see my video of the water drop? That is a good one to draw I think.

  • @ArteDivierte Yes i did! But i think i'll have to buy myself a set of proper pencils first before i can draw that one specially with the shading. I just have one ordinary pencil with cartoons on it lol and it's too hard. And i've tried to make the shading blur out with a paint brush but it didn't work! I'll keep you updated when i'm satisfied with the drop!

  • art is very poor :(

  • @TheHomebre What do you mean?

  • @FineArtEBooks at earning money

  • @TheHomebre Ah! Got it. Yes, it is not easy... Are you a professional artist?

  • @FineArtEBooks well not as good as this. Im decent

  • Yes! Let´s see who is the 100,000th viewer!!!

  • Let´s see who is the n. 100,000 viewer!!!

  • What ttype of pencils are those?

  • @ValLikesShadows Hello. I used 2 mechanical pencils with 2mm graphite leads. A 3B and an HB. Good luck!

    The Tempest by Taylor Hayward

  • Can I kiss your drawing (I mean, girl or not girl, those lips look kissable.)?

  • @FreakyBo0o hahahaha hahahaha That is the best comment I have gotten so far!!! :))) (and there are 159 comments on this video!). Yes, you´ve won the prize. You may kiss those lips!!

  • @FreakyBo0o ps: oooops, I answered you from my other (Spanish) channel. But it is still me, Leonardo, and the grant is still valid ;)

  • @FineArtEBooks Awesome ! :)

    no muy bueno con espanol

  • Neck is too skinny! But nice job with the lips.

  • @omgcowshaveudders thanks

  • hey dude, what did u use apart of the pencil? and eraser? or what?

  • @himerithaamor666an Hello. I used 2 mechanical pencils with 2mm graphite leads. A 3B and an HB. And a kneaded eraser. Other than that... my finger to smooth it out a bit!

  • hi bro respect from Turkey I liked your work very much, thanks for the video

  • @td62baberjuff Thank you very much. I appreciate your comment and I hope the video was helpful. Have a great year!

  • What pencil did you use?

  • @daisarchuleta I used 2 mechanical pencils. One with a 3B and the other one with an HB lead. Good luck!

  • @FineArtEBooks I see... will it make much different if I use wooden pencil instead of mechanical? I'm planning on buying the sketching pencil set but I'm still not quite sure. Thank you :)

  • @daisarchuleta Wooden pencils work as well as these ones, as long as they are drawing pencils from an art store (I suggest getting a 3b or 4B and an HB). Good luck! (If you are going to answer this, please answer in a new comment, otherwise it gets lost under a million comments hahaha Thanks!)

  • Angeline Jolie

  • Kewl Mouth. Mine usually look like a warped cartoon. lol

  • @Wyzdm It takes some practice! Keep going and you´ll get it right!! :)

  • @Wyzdm It does take some practice. Please let me know if the video helped or what would you like to see. ;)

  • yeah i always watch videoos of how these awesome people draw lips but when i draw it looks more like a leaf :((

  • @noahclan1 I understand. Try following my demo little by little (pausing the video as you draw). Concentrate on the lights and shadows which is what gives it volume so that the lips don´t look like a leaf.

  • What can i draw with a lead pencil.. notebook paper and a BIG eraser :P?

  • @PoloGuild Sure! That sounds like a good plan!! :)

  • @FineArtEBooks Oh, sorry, I thought you were asking me if you could draw with that. Why not try copying this mouth? Or if you feel brave, a figure drawing would be nice ;)

  • @PoloGuild

Cut your eraser up into smalled, but usable pieces at different angles, so you can more or less get the same effect as a kneaded eraser.

  • Awesome can u make a video on how to draw a head

  • @ezo770 Ok, I will put that on my list! Right now I´m in the middle of 2 other videos and I´m about to go to NY for an exhibit opening that I have, but I´ll try to fit it as soon as possible. (I have a few figure drawing videos which may help you for now if you look at my video list.)

  • @FineArtEBooks thanks your awsome

  • that would be brilliant , because i would love to able to draw the face like you. =]

  • @ImAcHoCoHoLiC2 I´m working on my next one. I hope to have it for you soon. Are you anywhere near NY? I will have an exhibit there in a couple of weeks. :)

  • incredible!

  • @perksofbeingharriet Thank you vm! :)

  • beautiful drawing but could you please show steps or slow down video ?

    tankx

  • @ImAcHoCoHoLiC2 Ok. On my next one I will narrate it so that it is more helpful for you. Thanks for the note. ;)

  • @ImAcHoCoHoLiC2 ps: What subjects would you like to see a demo on?

  • @FineArtEBooks Eyes and eyelashes. That sort of thing :)

  • @surfergirllexi Ok. I do have a video of painting an eye (has eyelashes). I´m not allowed to place a link here but if you look in my videos I´m sure you will find it :)

  • @surfergirllexi And please do let me know if it helped!

  • @FineArtEBooks Oh awesome! Thank you so much! I was never able to make eyes look realistic. Haha :)

  • @surfergirllexi Cool! :)

  • draw it !

  • ummm if you went slower i can get it !!!!

  • @katanakryalee1 Got it. The next one I will narrate it so that you can get it better. On what subjects would you like to see more demos?

  • @FineArtEBooks yesss

  • @Kittykitty997 It´s hard to say Kitty, because I have been drawing and painting all my life. But if I can help you in any way, please do let me know. :)

  • what drawing paper do u reccommend

  • @jamardoogle2 My favorites are Fabriano and Canson drawing paper (not sketch paper.)

  • @FineArtEBooks What kind of pen user?

  • @MrHadeeloo I used 2 mechanical pencils, one with an HB and the other one with a 3B lead. (Both were 2mm graphite leads.)
