I watched this show a few weeks after it started...was very impressed with the opening theme music and visuals. But what REALLY blew my mind was the first credit of the closing sequence:
"Executive Producers ARTHUR RANKIN, JR & JULES BASS"
Because of the many Christmas and Easter specials they produced, I couldn't believe that they were involved in THIS!
fuckkkkkkkkkkk aquel que no se percato ke este ending CON ESA GUITARRAS UNICAS ERA UN HEavY METAL UNICO wowwwwwwwwww lo es todo la mejor niñez sin duda la vivi kon esto !!!
unfortunately it doesnt have the same theme alike the 80's it's an extreme instrumental piece sounds like something from Lord of the Rings. Nothing will compare to that original theme sigh lol
I was always scared of the villain's hideouts at the end. They are so sinister, but I always glad to see the Thundercat's fortress after then.. made me feel better, hah.
I needed a dose of this after learning they remade this show (shudders). According to CN, they're trying more of an "anime" approach - ummmmmm.... the pilot mini-series and opening & closing credits was anime with ACTUAL cel animation done in Japan -you think Americans could animate that well with watercolor backgrounds?! This new, crisp digital "anime" is crap.
@MInuhanyouM Saw the trailer. Vomited a little in my mouth. The new emo-style anime, no thanks. As camp as the original was, that's what made it what it was. Nostalgia’s one thing, but my generation's hell-bent attempt at resuscitating all these shows in their feeble attempt to reclaim their youth is sad. Aging gracefully is apparently a lost concept.
It is so realistic I'm glad I was born in the 1987 and saw the thundercats and silverhawks in warner channel when I was 7 until 12 years old..............take me to 1994 and 1999
The part that reads Rankin Bass Animated Entertainment reminds me of the end credits of The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, an old Christmastime special.
Best ----ing outro music to a cartoon EVER! Pure rock with screeching guitars, horns for the menacing feel and trumpets for heroic bits! I was a big fan of thundercats as a kid but more a transformers one. But now as an adult, you can see the sheer difference in class between them in terms of looks, feel and sound I think... :)
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
