All the poor guys who said that is a fake... my god....do you have some ears ?????????? there's is a lot of details that prove that is not the original...
thats really well reproduced but this is not the original.... but if plugsphere want to send me the arturia prg for this bass.... it would be great... lool
Vsti technique can't emulate the real analog sound, infact the software synths will come very close to it. Arturia failed by creating their "Jupiter8v" and "ARP2600v"... If u want real analog, you probably buy a real analog-synth, like the SH-101 or Juno-106 by Roland.
This is NOT FAKE... Hear the moment where the solo finishe and this standard Equinoxe-Pattern beguine. This standard pattern sounds different than original. This is proof this is not fake. This is great emulation.
It's not fake.... Buy you ears, guys !!! The "roundness" of the bass is different than the original and the Solina is way too "clear" compared to the bass sound, that's how tyou can tell its not original.
Indeed: this low quality recording comes from the original 'Equinoxe', you can also hear the Eminent on the background!
Try to emulate an Eminent with Arturia's 2600....
Use softsynths in an original way, don't emulate, if you like analog: use analog, it's as simple as that (and for softsynths your D/A-converters and summing are very important...)
It's not from the original recordings from Jean-Michel Jarre!
It's emulated with an Arturia ARP2600V and EVE VST Solina Plug-Ins. The preset is calling "The Solina". The Bass sound comes from the virtual ARP2600. Reverberation is from CSR.
First off, this is not a fake recording. Go back and listen to the original. You can hear different nuances in the bassline that aren't the same here. The original recording also has compression on it that can be heard.
Secondly, not everyone has several thousand dollars to drop on an Arp 2600 or other vintage gear. If it sounds good, who cares if it's hardware or software? You couldn't even tell yourself.
its not that hard. simply load a midifile in any vst sequencer software, like REAPER, or FL-Studio and connect the ARP2600V vsti. The ARP2600 comes with some presets that are very close to the equinoxe bass. If you play around with the knobs and do some cooking on your own, you'll get it even closer.
JMJ was an arp2600 user, it sounds pretty fat, the software version is an interesting plug'in.
