  • JMJ was an arp2600 user, it sounds pretty fat, the software version is an interesting plug'in.

  • All the poor guys who said that is a fake... my god....do you have some ears ?????????? there's is a lot of details that prove that is not the original...

thats really well reproduced but this is not the original.... but if plugsphere want to send me the arturia prg for this bass.... it would be great... lool

  • who gives a shit where it comes from, it sounds great motherfuckers. :)

  • Great job ! Is the sequence from the ARP 2600 V or is it played live ?

  • Could you send me a set of bass ARP2600?

  • Vsti technique can't emulate the real analog sound, infact the software synths will come very close to it. Arturia failed by creating their "Jupiter8v" and "ARP2600v"... If u want real analog, you probably buy a real analog-synth, like the SH-101 or Juno-106 by Roland.

  • Awesome. Congrats to author!

  • PS. And look on my replica of Equinoxe 7. Is not the worst ;)...

  • This is NOT FAKE... Hear the moment where the solo finishe and this standard Equinoxe-Pattern beguine. This standard pattern sounds different than original. This is proof this is not fake. This is great emulation.

  • It's not fake.... Buy you ears, guys !!! The "roundness" of the bass is different than the original and the Solina is way too "clear" compared to the bass sound, that's how tyou can tell its not original.

  • Also the delayed "plucked" sound is lacking at the bottom...

  • It's absolutely perfect!! :-D

How did you get the notes to bend like this....????

I've tried using the pitchbend, but it's not the same.

  • @Wilma2806 Make it with legato mono (no retrig!) Hear my Eq7 :)

  • @Wilma2806 Make it with legato mono (no retrig!) Hear my Eq7 :)

  • Indeed: this low quality recording comes from the original 'Equinoxe', you can also hear the Eminent on the background!

Try to emulate an Eminent with Arturia's 2600....

Use softsynths in an original way, don't emulate, if you like analog: use analog, it's as simple as that (and for softsynths your D/A-converters and summing are very important...)

  • It's not from the original recordings from Jean-Michel Jarre!

It's emulated with an Arturia ARP2600V and EVE VST Solina Plug-Ins. The preset is calling "The Solina". The Bass sound comes from the virtual ARP2600. Reverberation is from CSR.

    It's not a FAKE! I promise!!!!

  • First off, this is not a fake recording. Go back and listen to the original. You can hear different nuances in the bassline that aren't the same here. The original recording also has compression on it that can be heard.

Secondly, not everyone has several thousand dollars to drop on an Arp 2600 or other vintage gear. If it sounds good, who cares if it's hardware or software? You couldn't even tell yourself.

  • I am not interested on fakes! This is the only one and that's all.

Let me hear your FUCKING FAKES! You are jealous. I think you can nothing in music - or maximum play the old trash from Jarre.

  • what presets were used for this what were the names,eg,engel jmb, darcyor were they templates

  • It;s not a fake for sure because some notes sound a little bit different than original Equinoxe VII but it's still pretty good !

  • Oh please this is so F*cking fake. You can even hear the original kick of the minipops.

  • No, is not a fake! It's emulated with Arturia ARP2600V and Minipop samples and FLStudio.

  • @plugsphere look m8 its the f--kin beginningof track 7 equinoxe - ok wtf????? you can hear solina string

  • a fake ??? looooooooool .... it's so easy to have a minipops kick sample.. definetely not a fake...

    well done plugsphere.. :-)

  • @rembrown

jarre is not the only one who have a minipops... and there is a lot af samples of this machine...

it s just a great sound cover of this part of this song...jealous guy looool

  • is this video showing the real arp2600v settings?! i have tried myself in the same way, with same settings, and it sounds like shit.

  • Comment removed

  • well You need to fix few things. Use saw and pw first. Check my Eq7 vid

  • Dont think this one sounds less correct that yours :) no offence. They both sounds good.

  • yes man ! one of the best bass sound ever made and the ultimate sequenced bass those lines are just magic (i'm a big jmj fan ) !

come on man tell us how you did it ? please.

  • its not that hard. simply load a midifile in any vst sequencer software, like REAPER, or FL-Studio and connect the ARP2600V vsti. The ARP2600 comes with some presets that are very close to the equinoxe bass. If you play around with the knobs and do some cooking on your own, you'll get it even closer.

  • indeed.. please show how u did it

  • yeah that would be cool

  • Could you make a Tutorial video on how you recreated the bass ?

  • Yeah! Very good, almost like original :)
