They have been doing this since before the civil war in Somalia and there is next to no media coverage....It might interest you to know that they are also fishing up to $300,000,000 worth of fish per year and YOUR EATING THE STUFF(so if you do nothing about this you will die of some terrible cancer)!!!

legitimacy to piracy no, everybody understands that! These fleets are breaking international law. You have european companies sailing under belize, honduras, so they can avoid EU-regulation. Japanese, saudi, yemeni and koreans fleets are using the chaos in Somalia to their advantage. The only side we have to take is that of the truth. We Africans don't want to take hostages. Western countries seem to always be involved in cover up stories...

There is always 2 sides to a story, so why would a free thinking man always jump to conclusions and assume his friend, his neighbor, brother, mother, father, local government and national government are giving you the full scope of the situation. If these pple are known to be honest and truthful and have a truthful record then perhaps you can say you trusted them based on that. And a truthful person does not deceive others.

Hmm..well the first pirate attacks began in the early 90's( 1992 or so) and Somalia began to descend into chaos a little earlier. While it is true that some Somali pirates consider themselves to be a part of Somalia's "coast guard" and some of them chose piracy after finding fishing etc to be no longer sustainable, a lot of pirates are just thugs who have used their ransom money like gangsters. The real people suffering are the one's shown in the first half of the video- The regular folks..

One musn't also forget the environmental costs of dumping waste in waters of the coast of Somalia and east Africa in general. International organizations must make sure that while shipping lanes are protected from pirates, so are the waters off the coast of these countries from the dumping of toxic waste. It may seem overly optimistic as the chief duty of the navies in the area right now is to protect private property, but lets hope the UNEP can get in on the action...

Please don't buy into propaganda about the environment, that the pirates are really the Somali coast guard, etc. Too many people are asleep, & they need to wake up & get informed about Odinga, Obama, the jihad... what's really going on in Africa. The US is sending billions to radical Muslims in Africa & telling citizens it's humanitarian aid. The money is buying new Humvees for Obama's cousin Raila.

Didn't Obama authorize the Navy to take out the pirates? Where is the connection between Kenyan internal politics and Obama's policies? Obama was born Muslim, raised Muslim (until at least age 12), became a Black Muslim (by age 18), then converted to black liberation theology (based on Islam) (ages 24 until the election). He's Muslim. He has been involved since the 1990s on the cutting edge of the jihad in Africa. Obama did not authorize the Navy; the military acted on rules of engagement. You obviously don't know about Rahm, or Bill Clinton's 29 bank accounts/offices worldwide.
