  • Dylan, man! Ya gotta do Dylan!

  • @imlavernesmom Already covered a bit of him in this one, which also includes one from The Band- youtube.com/watch?v=5DoB5D8oEEg but was planning on another one from his catalog (possibly even a medley).

  • dave was really good

  • @bigwhitee I'm planning on a medley of DMB songs soon. Hope you'll check it out once it's posted. Thanks for the comment!

  • very impressive, what i want to know is what no talent hater clicked dislike? keep them coming stew!

  • @1deathlives Unfortunately, there's always a few 'no talent haters' out there whose sole mission in life is to put down others. I find that when I go to their profiles, they have no original content of their own loaded and usually only a handful of friends, if any. I think that speaks volumes... Thanks again for the comments!

  • Wow. You are really good Stew. Your Mellencamp and Steve Miller are dead on.

  • Been wanting to get back to some of these singers to do medleys of each but instead have been focused on getting to new voices (and requests) in a quest to break into uncharted territory and do more overall variety than anyone out there. Look for more from Miller, Moodys, Mellencamp and Matthews if ever I can find enough spare time to lay 'em down. Thanks for listening!

  • Thank you, Drew. That's the idea--to sound as much like the original artist as possible. Glad you liked this post. Please feel free to check out some of my other 'voices' and let my know your thoughts. Thanks!

  • i didnt really like the dave matthews impression, but the five for fighting was pretty amazing

  • Glad you at least liked the 5 for fighting. I get a lot of positive feedback on my DMB and was even asked to front a Matthews tribute band a few years back. I've included a bit of another Dave song bite in one of my other posts that may be closer to the mark. Eventually I plan to do a whole medley of his material. Hopefully, I'll nail it then and change your opinion. Still, I appreciate your honest assessment and welcome any other comments on the many other voices I cover here. Thanks!

  • needless to say, it was still the best cover I've heard! sorry if i was too blunt. But you should most certainly do a medley of his songs, and let me know when you do! cheers and keep doing what youre doing! awesome

  • ill give you a challenge how about axl rose?

  • Been a long time since I covered any GNR but I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Great Great DMB impersonation sounds exactly like him

  • Good god, your Dave Matthews was nuts! wow

  • Thanks! I love Dave's stuff and definitely plan on posting a long medley of some of his songs in the not too distant future. Hope you'll check it out once it's posted and let me know your 'impressions'.

  • So whats the status on the dave vid?! can't wait to hear it dude!

  • Working out a DMB medley but also trying to get to some other requests/voices I've yet to post. Didn't want to rush it and end up having it suck. lol. I do appreciate your interest and hope it lives up to your expectations once I get it posted.

    Stew

  • i really would've liked to hear the 'how i wish you were here' but it was over then :/ wonderful work :D

  • Thanks. Didn't mean to leave you hanging but wanted to get to as many different voices as possible before focusing too much on just one group. Pink Floyd is definitely worthy of an entire medley, which I plan on getting to when time permits. I appreciate the comment and hope you'll check back for a future floyd post! Stew

  • Just wanted to let you know that I posted my cover of the entire "Wish you were here" if you're interested. Thanks again for your thoughts..

  • Wow your Dave Matthews was the very best!!! Amazing!!!

  • Thanks, Adam! Dave is one of my favorties to sing so I'm glad you thought it sounded good. I plan to get to a DMB medley this year when time permits so I hope you'll check it out once it's posted. Til then, feel free to check out any of my other uploads here and leave comments. Thanks again, Stew

  • holy FUCK DUDE you are amazing you sound JUST LIKE THESE GUYS!

i wanna post you my cover of "Your Possible Pasts" by roger Waters.

  • Thanks, Josh! Sounding just like the artists I'm covering is the ultimate goal. Every week, I'm trying to get to new voices I've yet to explore so stay tuned. Checked out your Waters cover--well done! I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd and may eventually do a whole medley of their stuff. Thanks again for the "holy F*CK DUDE". ;) Stew

  • lol your most welcome dude!

  • excellent and very good vocals,.

  • Glad you liked 'em. Thanks for the nice words! Stew

  • great stuff man

  • Thanks, Kyle. Hope you'll check out some of my other covers as well. I appreciate the nice comment. Stew

  • That Patriots oone was fucking great bro.

  • Yea, I had fun putting that one together. Took a lot of heat from Giants fans but that's the price of taking a side. Opening day today- time for redemption. Enjoy the season, bro.

  • yeah good steve miller...shootin star??? I dont know bout that one...nice job....good luck in the business....and maybe,...cut out all that macho ***t and learn how to play guitar...heheh

  • Wasn't trying to be purposely macho. Guess my testosterone was just too much for ya. lol-yea right... As far as Shooting Star goes- in retrospect, I wish I had just sung it straight up. I may do a Bad Company medley one of these days since I do enjoy singing Paul Rogers and feel he's one of my better voices. The vocals come first and foremost with me. My attempts to play guitar or keys always take a back seat. Can't fault a guy for trying though. Thanks for the comments!

  • WOW. this sounds incredible, you nail them perfect!

  • Really glad you thought so. Some I nailed, others were close. Plenty more to come. Thanks for watching!

  • i didnt see 1000

  • I'm working on 'em, Ray. If you check out some of my other uploads, you'll see/hear. Not sure I could cram 1000 voices into one upload anyway. On a side note, Lon Chaney-- the actor who played the original Phantom of the Opera-was known as the man of 1000 faces. I don't think he actually had 1000 either, unless there's a trunkful of Halloween masks we don't know about. So when do we get to hear something from the RayGun1band? I didn't notice any posts yet. Do you really use real Ray guns?

  • i know dude it was a joke you are pretty accurate and RayGun is the name of our band but our videos are too long to upload right now

  • Cool. Let me know when you get some on so I can check 'em out. Til then, thanks for the comments, keep jammin' and best of luck with the band. Stew

  • Nice of you to say so. Maybe some rich dude with too much money will feel the same way someday and want to back me. Til then, I'm cool with just singing for kicks and grins. If other people get off on it too, then all the better. Thanks for listening! Stew

  • Your Cougar is pretty dead on! So is your Dave Matthews! Five for Fighting is pretty good too, although the song itself is drivel. You actually do have a ton of talent. Make your own music!

  • Thank you for saying so. Seems that you actually did listen to more than one of my posts here after all. I appreciate that and am glad you decided that I was maybe better than just a "fairly decent singer". I hope you'll check out my other posts (present and future) and let me know how I'm doing. Thanks! Stew

  • Thanks greywolf! Your uncle sounds someone I would have liked to have known. Glad you enjoyed the songs. Stew

  • This is so awesome!

  • Wow! So glad you thought so, Princess. Just me practicing and videotaping myself so it's far from polished. I figure if I had a budget and some costuming and make-up, I might actually approach the 'awesome' stage. Maybe this year will be the one where it all comes together. If not, I'll still be singing and smiling, knowing there's at least a few nice people out there (like you) enjoying it. Thanks for making my day better with your kind words! Stew

  • Skynyrd's "What's Your Name"

  • Wow. Glad I found this channel.

  • Glad you did, too! Thanks for signing up as a subscriber. Hope I can live up to your expectations. Peace. Stew

  • SOME ARE GOOD , MOST ARE MEDIOCRE

  • Maybe, but at least you were curious enough to keep listening. If I had a better studio to do these in, you might think otherwise. As the Kinks once sang, "I'm on a low budget".

  • I AGREE , YOU MAY BE DISTURBED !!!!

  • "You may be right. I may be crazy. But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for." lyrics by Billy Joel

  • VERY GOOD ONE

  • good doobies, and mellencamp

  • Glad you liked 'em. TY/.

  • your steve miller sounds like tom petty

  • I hope you lot's of money,, can I be your aggent

  • Thank you. I'm in search of one so you never know...

  • Haha, most definitely solid. Props.

  • Hey, thanks for the nice words, starship. I hope you'll check out my other uploads sometime. I'll be posting a lot more content as soon as I get my laptop fixed here. Thanks for watching!

    Stew

  • you gave that bottle to god damn man,the director says again. you gave that bottle to a god damn man, mike evers rolls his eyes. Inez continues her lecture her own importance, but who is that hopeless actor. Search youtube under the name skullduggery sarasota for the answer. I thought the singing was great, Do you play as well?

  • Ok. I did as instructed but am still puzzled as to exactly who you are. Is it Mike E or just another hopeless actor like myself? To answer your question: First & foremost, I'm a lead singer. Since I moved & no longer have a band, I'm forced to use accompaniments and play along (not always very well). This allows me to cover a MUCH greater range of artists, which is what I'm mostly about. Write me back and tell me who you are please>

  • I guess i have changed quite a bit ,which you have not. I am Jamie Lewis. I am the bass player on the skullduggery stuff. My site is not tuna dot com [you tube will not allow websites in the comments section

  • Good to hear from you, Jamie! I wasn't able to discern faces on the stage (from your skullduggery uploads) but did enjoy the music. Your skills on the bass are solid as is your taste in music. Stay in touch and keep on jammin'!

  • thankyou.I am hoping to be in g c for billies c/o77 jam.there are lots of factors to work out. Sitll it sure seems like fun.

  • The most amazing one man cover band I've ever seen, get a band man and get on TV, you are awesome.

  • Wow! Thanks so much for the very flattering endorsement. I've been too busy playing out to post recently. Got lots more to come so I hope you'll check back in about a month or so. My best to you. Stew

  • Comment Pt.2...

As far as youtube goes, make it really slick: consistent camera angle, clean background, good lighting, get your sound going direct rather than miking the room and add titles like you see in the 100 impersonations videos. Should help get people refering your vids, you could have a 100,000 views vid on your hands. Make it a real master piece... and longer say 4 mins.

Simple stuff - better results. Dont forget the hair cut :) Good luck with it all!

  • The haircut? Hey bro, I'm not Sanjaya if you hadn't noticed. lol Basically, I roll out of bed on days off and do these, my friend. I think your advice is valid though and appreciate your input. The song titles/artists are a good idea so expect them from now on. As far as my masterpiece goes, I'm still painting it. Hopefully, you'll check back and let me know how I'm doing. Thanks!

  • Yo Stewart ... Billy Luke from GC here ... you are amazing my man! I guess you better thank Dr. Plinkiewicz for all of that vocal training in Stewart School! Look me up, I'm in town and in the book!

    Later bro, be well

    BL

  • Billy Luc! what a pleasant surprise. We should catch up sometime, old friend. It's been way too long. I'm glad to hear there's a potential GC reunion upcoming so I hope to see you there if not sooner! I'll definitely look you up next time I'm in town again. Stew

  • Ive heard plenty of straight old celebrity impressions but very few musical impressions. Damn impressive, a joy to watch and it kinda messes with your head seeing you do em so well!

Get some smart threads, a haircut and loose the horrible blue screen effects and you could do very well with this.

  • I have smart threads but I usually save those for the Sinatra and Tony Bennett stuff. Kurt Cobain in a 3 piece silk suit just wouldn't ring true but if I ever get on Leno, I'll make sure to wear some decent threads. ;) I used to do celebrity impressions but never found many people who could do this well. Ideally, I'm hoping to attract a backer and incorporate costumes and make up to complete the illusion. Thanks for the comments, Andy!

  • Thanks Mrharley. Sorry it took so long for me to respond but I do eventually get to all comments and emails I get. I appreciate your input and hope you'll continue to check out stuff. All the best to you... Stew

  • Stew is simply brilliant. He should have me be his agent and get him some gigs on tv. I would merely ask for a contract and a mutually agreed upon percentage.

  • This is amazing--I love impressions. Really cool. "Knights in White Satin"?--unbelievable. You've got to get an agent and perform on Letterman--you'd knock 'em dead.

  • I'm working towards that goal, my friend. If and when I get there, send me an email. I'll need a few good people in the front row.

The fact that you're a complete stranger makes the compliments all the more gratifying. Thanks for being so kind.

  • I'd like to hear David Cassidy ;)

  • Excellent. Only the Justin Hayward impersonation needs a little work. Keep it up. Brilliant.

  • Thank you, Bluebird. (Reminds me of a nice McCartney tune). You realize now that I'm going to have to prove my Moody Stew's voice is up to par. ;)

Get ready for a mini Moody's medley. Until then, here comes the second installment* of 'ripping off more covers"! Stew

    *Springsteen> Al Greene> The Who> Beatles> Donovan> Eagles> Peter Gabriel> Paul Simon> Mott the Hoople.

  • Can you do any Skynyrd, SRV, or Clapton?

  • Absolutely. I'm a big fan of all 3 but will have to brush up on my Stevie Ray before I post one of his. Look for some skynyrd and Clapton real soon. Thanks.

  • You're too kind. Get ready for a lot more. Requests are welcome.

    Stew

  • wow...thats amazing

  • can you do some tom petty. interestng to see ifyou can get his voice not many people can. great job

  • Thank you. I'll include Tom in my next round of artists at your request. Ultimately, I'd like to find a costume & make-up artist who could help me add to the overall style/look of each artist. Doing Tom Petty with some slightly buck teeth, a blond wig and those funky little glasses he's been known to wear would be a kick. For now, you'll just have to settle for all these voices in my head. Enjoy your beer. Cheers!

  • hes got an AMAZING voice

  • Hey, thanks for the wonderful compliment! This is just scratching the surface so get ready. And if you have any requests, please let me know. ;)

  • thats nuts. impressive

  • Glad you liked it. More to follow...
