  • on this slide i don't think that there are clear tunica muscularis or tunica serosa layers

  • im pretty sure where you are saying muscular serosa, and tunica serosa you are incorrect

    -the top dark purple layer is the simple columnar epithelium layer

    -filling in the papillae which is the lighter purple color is the lamina propria

    - the dark pink staining below that is the muscularis mucosa

    -the epithelial lining, lamina propria, and muscularis mucosa all make up the "tunica mucosa"

    -the unorganized looking loose connective tissue is the "tunica sub-mucosa"

  • @JonGraham90 there is no definitive sub mucosa (just as he said) in this slide. The sub mucosa comes before the muscle layer... not after. I think you might be confused because the picture is inverted.
