Man I want a bigger cam for my 68 so bad, but I have AC and, dont they get hot pretty fast at an idle with the ac on, and trust me down here in South Texas we need our AC.

im sure he's not running it all the time with the air cleaner off. how the vacuum on that car. granted it's most likely manual everything. word of advice, get rid of that piece of shit fuel filter before your mustang turns into a pile of ash. Trust me. get a solid piece or simple inline if you must.

Sounds nice for a small block,also you do know that running your car without a airfilter is one of the fastest ways to kill your rings.Nice ride anyway

WHAT!??? Race cars run without an airfilter all the time. Doing without one MAY affect your air/fuel ratio slightly but it shouldn't hurt the internals unless your tune-up is garbage in the first place.

I was speaking specifically of drag cars since thats what we do.. And I don't know who you hang around with that drives a drag car but I assure you that myself and lots of others I know do not run air filters and we certainly do not rebuild our engines all the time. I've been doing this for years have never heard your theory of killing rings....What exactly is it about getting more air into the motor that destroys rings?

@1972mustangsonicboom All the dirt and grit goes into the chamber then scatches the sides of cyl walls.Dirt does not burn and collects,builds up and damages rings and cyl wall
