Interestingly, if Elmdor levels up, it actually helps you, as he doesn't gain HP for doing so, but 10% of his HP is a higher number. Now, to be fair, it's a difference... well, 1-2 HP at most, depending on how the game rounds for 10%. But still!

Try this:

Fist, Crystal Shield, Thief Hat, Black Costume, Bracer

Start on the DEFAULT panel, so you can move to that safe spot on your first turn to avoid Blood Suck. Elmdor teleports close, Muramasa, Assassins move close, charge Ultimas. Redirect, punch (-2 PA for switching back to Thief Hat, but +3 for Bracer, puts you at 16 PA). Now, if you still get your normal double turn before Elmdor here, you can punch again, and the extra damage from the +1 PA might be enough (w/o boosted Ultimas)

@chibiraptor - To avoid Blood Suck. I'm suggesting a strat that replaces 108 Gems with Bracer. Elmdor can't Blood Suck him if he's standing on a certain panel.

Im sorry, i kinda missed why but why do you use fist vs elmdoor?

@YewTo0b 88 dmg fists with 15 PA and 74 brave vs 80 dmg xbow shot with 15 PA, basically 8 extra damage

why aren't you using a bracer or +physical instead of the antibloodsuck gems? Does he use bloodsuck even at full hp? thought he'd rather use when hurt

since he acts before you, you could make use of the extra damage dealt with such an accessory, don't you?

@blob1024 Blood Suck is instant death (and always 100% hit rate), so Elmdor will always use it if he isn't immune. 108 Gems is therefore mandatory.

If you didn't try this yet, you may as well. Start Ramza right behind the left torch with a Thief Hat and Gastrafitis on. You wait and get Muramasa'd+ a throw which you must guard. Your turn. You shoot, wait, double turn Elmdor and shoot him again. Move as far to the left as possible. You get Muramasa'd and sometimes Ultima is locked onto you. Then you shoot and move in front of Elmdor redirecting Ultima. Your compat is different than what I used, so you might be able to get yet another hit in.

The "homebrew" game you are talking about is Chrono Trigger Revolution, a fan game using the N64 engine.

The only problem with being 69, is the next battle. At least when I fought Zalera, If I didn't kill all of his minions I would die. I was level 70 by the end and almost 71.
