  • Cadicus - You will never wonder again if the spirit world is real if you would travel to the amazon and drink ayahuasca with a shaman. Important medicine.

  • sorry for the double post. didn't realize it took the first time. whatev...

  • @billyjoesgirl

I have a crappy computer right now and cannot make videos, sadly enough.

  • actually i was wondering. thanks! hey, and i even found you entertaining. yabouldoth? what the..? you know, i think he must be the equivalent to lucifer. speaking of, do a vid on luciferianism, eh. i'm curious - what's THAT all about? :}

  • Whoa the weird thing is that you find out the same info by just tripping on Magic Mushrooms. No joke really.

  • People completely forget the fact that the Gnostics were considered heretics because they deviated from the traditions of Christianity. Their theology materialized long after the death and resurrection of Christ. It is not the theology of Orthodox Christianity, because it is a diverse and conflicting collection of innovations.

  • The main reason why westerners are so interested these days with Gnosticism, is due to the current condition of western culture. Westerners are pathologically obsessed with finding the "David vs Goliath" story everywhere. People are willing to champion the underdog simply because it's the underdog. People love to support "oppressed" minorities because after all, it makes a good story!

  • A friendly suggestion: don't talk about somethin like religion unless u rly know what u are talkin about

  • Has anyone read the complete jesus? and if so where do you get it? I'm thinking I'll have to order it. Its supposed to have every thing written about jesus....nt, nag hammadi, quran maybe...but its a condensed book of jesusness. I'm really interested in reading it.

  • I have a lot of respect for gnosticism, but absolutely none for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. If you haven't already read THE LAUGHING: JESUS RELIGIOUS LIES AND GNOSTIC WISDOM by Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy, I think it would be a book you'd be interested in. They also put out a book titled THE JESUS MYSTERIES that I found to be worth my while. The PAGAN CHRIST by Tom Harpur is great too.

  • No need to scream!!

  • I like your intro bro

  • Thanks!

  • drink, cigar he is a good comedian trying to look intelligent

  • You think I'm funny, not just funny looking? Thanks!

  • The spiritual world/dimension is accessed through the forbidden fruit, the magic mushroom... that's where you get your direct knowledge/gnosis from, and realize that you are your own God/authority. After you've been to the top, it's pretty hard to follow anyone else... It's all right there in Genesis 3, once you've properly identified the players. Most of the stories in the bible are based upon Gnostic type beliefs, Christianity is just a backwards version of those ancient tales.

  • Sometimes I've wondered even when I was a christian, that what if just maybe the God we are told is loving and that we are to worship, is actually the very being that we should fear. And that Satan, the being we are taught to fer and who is trying to lead our souls into hell, is actually the very being thats trying to save us?

Kinda brings a whole new twist to things.

  • You just summed up Gnosticism succinctly.

  • Both satan and god are part of everything and only on strict metaphorical terms it could be said that any of them loves you.

  • god and satan are one in the same a mere halucination most likely caused by some kind of mushroom

  • @TheAgnosticAspie your fuckin weird. do you take shrooms or acid?

  • Yah, jah or IAO is an ancient egyptian moon god, most Christians and Jews don't know that they are praying to the moon hehe. :)

  • I've heard Allah was the pre-Islamic moon god, but not Yah Weh. Interesting.

  • Too bad that's not the name of God in the Bible

  • YahWeh and Jehovah are the names of the Old Testament god. You need to learn Hebrew and read the Torah before you attempt to argue this. The Old Testament was not written in English originally.

  • I'm actually right now learning Arabic and Hebrew and I've read the Torah I don't know how many times...The name of Elohim is YHWH...Some scholors say it might look like Yahweh, but they can't be certain b/c the Israelites stopped using His name, or saying it outloud, so to say it is Yahweh is only a theory...Also Jehovah is a horrible mistranslation for the Hebrew Yahweh...there is no J sound in Hebrew

  • I've identified their Demiurge their mystery God as the planet Saturn, the black Sun/Dark star... it's actually a burnt up sun/star. Which is why their sabbath is on Saturnday. It's also represented by the black cube which the Jews wear on their heads, the black square, and the black sun. The Swastika is a very Saturnalian symbol for example, and they Reich were very into this stuff.. In Mundane Astrology its main traits seem to be chaos, authority, and institutions. He's merely an authority.

  • Also when you recognize their false creator gods Saturnalian trait of Chaos, well then their creation myth is much like Plato's Greek creation myth where Chaos created everything lol... it's merely the retellings of the ancient egyptian and greek mystery schools, which were basically ancient secret societies, and what egyptian and greek mythology is all about and the correct interpretation of those mystical metaphors in the bible...

  • Have you ever read the Rigveda or Zend Avesta?

  • No. I read the Bhagavistas (sp?) in college though. Do you have any links for me? PM them, please.

  • getting warmer..."beware of the great deception" the irony...

which is why I worship nothing that can be labeled, named, or described, as my "source" or "god" is beyond comprehension, but not beyond experience. Its relative to dimensional perspective.

  • Video reply?

  • What's up Cadicus... for some good lyrics based basically upon Gnosticism check out the Black Sabbath records Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Volume 4, and Sabotage. Great stuff... The bible itself I've found is a book about becoming your own God, your own authority, through gnosis, not worshipping this false authority they call Yaweh. It's all in the story of Genesis 3.

  • I`ll look into it.

  • I don't know what your reading in that book Cadicus. But you have Gnosticism wrong :P... Then again just about anyone who posts on gnosis on youtube doesn't really know anything and just goes on theories that they read.

  • Do a video reply and correct me please. I am interested in your analysis.

  • I would like to reiterate, Cadicus, that I enjoyed your video about the Gnostics, and I hope you will devote more to the subject. There were several branches of Christianity back in the early days, and some of them were Gnostic. Some of the Gnostic branches were Christian, and others weren't. Gnosticism was becoming more and more popular, and was seen as a threat by the Roman Catholic Church. That's why Gnostics were branded as heretics and murdered. Christians killed by other Christians.

  • Yeah, Christians are prone to slaughtering each other over fine points of doctrine, as are the Muslims.

What do you know about the Spanish Inquisition? Some say the Cathars were somewhat related to the Gnostics... Sort of like doctrinal descendants. That's just what I've heard hypothesized.

  • Christianity is supposed to be about love and tolerance, but the Spanish Inquisition was another case in which some Christians slaughtered others because of certain differences. I haven't studied the Cathars in particular, so I'm not as educated about that sect as I'd like to be. They did have some similar views as some of the Gnostics had, but I'm not sure what the relationship was.

  • Jesus Christ was the first Christian and I dont think he was prone to slaughtering people... if people claim be christian it means they follow its Jesus. If I said I was a giraffe, would that make me a giraffe. Hitler said he was Christian. People are measured by there actions not labels.

  • Jesus was never about slaughtering people, and Christianity was never supposed to be about it either. The Church did it in the name of Christianity, but their actions weren't very Christian.

  • Gnosticism makes no sense to me. I always thought the Gnostics believed the physical world was created by an evil god because the world was filled with suffering and death. Rather primitive way of explaining the negative things in the world. They seemed to believe the spirit had to be released from it's physical shell through this special "gnosis" or knowledge. Strangely this belief is similar to beliefs of the Far East. Perhaps it originated there.

  • Gnosticism is a mixture of ancient pagan mysteries and early Christianity. Their explanation is religious and hence primitive. However, I think it solves the problem of evil much better than Christianity or the other monotheistic religions.

  • Dude if you did not want to sound like a COWARD you would admit that you were wrong and that gnosticism is an excuse for fear of persecution for living for G-d. G-d does not reward those who require full blown truth but those that hear about his Son JESUS and believe in him. Sounds like you are confusing the devil for G-d and G-d for the devil.

  • In Gnosticism, YahWeh is Satan, the creator of the material world, and Yeshua represents another, higher, God, one that is truly good and entirely spiritual.

I believe in none of it. I'm not religious and all of that mythology is nonsense.

  • Mythology was what Greeks practiced, yet even they believed there was some unknown G-d that they could not fathom. Jesus is REAL. Check out the evidence, there is lots of it.

  • Put down the drink and get some sleep. You

are sounding like you have 'mental health'

issues. Get sober and look at this video.

    I rest my case!!!

  • Thank you. I stand corrected.

  • I think I'm converted. It makes perfect sense.

  • You need beer when you talk about gnosticism

  • I think you should redo this in a Rod Serling/Twilight zone sort of way .

Put on a suit and stand in front of a garish religious painting .

You have the right voice for sure.

You did say Nag Hamaddi correctly .

Nog Hah Moddy ( in lame english terms)

    It's a great book,changed my perspective .

    Cheers

  • I do have a suit...

That might be a fun way to redo this video. Gnostics have been wanting me to rehash it for quite some time. They don't seem to acknowledge my demand for evidence, they just like the presentation of their ideas in a fairly neutral manner. Personally, I think their ideas sell themselves. They have a better explanation than the Christians ever will.

  • The evil Old Testament God is basically an evil tyrannical authority figure, basically what the church became... who wanted to keep everyone ignorant and easily controllable.. but they ate the magic mushroom and they knew he was a fraud.. the real god of the story is the serpent and the tree which create the caduceus... the serpent represents the wisdom of the pharmacia... the forbidden fruit, mushroom jesus hehe

  • Good video dude... you're just missing a couple things... how they attained this gnosis or knowledge.. which was through the forbidden fruit, the manna from heaven, the honey, the bread of life... the flesh of magic mushroom Jesus..haha...

  • Good point. There is something about those mushrooms...

  • thank you for your insight on my journey to enlightenment and illumination.

  • I feel honored to helping anyone on the path to enlightenment, although I protest that I have not attained that goal either. I demand evidence that enlightenment is loathe to provide.

  • You know, I had heard of gnosticism before, but had no idea what it was. Thanks for enlightening me ;) Sorry my reply is so late, I've lately been losing my fondness for youtube debates with bible-thumpers, alas...

  • I am tiring of it as well. The problem is that you have to give each one a synopsis on the scientific method and point out the contradictions in believing in one omniscient, omnibenevolent, and omnipotent deity at once each time you meet a new one. It's fatiguing and annoying. I just forward them my old videos and try to work on new and funner stuff that's not necessarily just me repeating myself over and over.

  • Thank you very much. This was highly educational. I greatly enjoyed it.

  • Thanks. Personally, I think this video needs to be redone (I have a better grasp of my video editor now), but I haven't got around to it yet.

  • Believer board games--My god is better than your god--Thinking for god--God trivia--Suffering--Mega suffering--Killing and raping--

  • My favorite is global genocide.

  • yeah but JESUS can defeat yaltabhoth.

  • At least that's what the Germans would have us believe....

  • You will serve the Demiurge!!!

  • Hmmm... perhaps Gnosticism is not as esoteric as I thought.

  • The possibilities may exist or may not, and I don't consider humans capable of knowing such things. We are just abstract thought enabled animals. Humans merely have self-originated ideas or beliefs that they've learned from others' self-originated ideas.

  • Agreed. Consider, for example, that even Nietzsche was a sex fiend. We are mere beasts...

  • Oh, a farsophilic Druj! Well that's different.

Zarathushtra and Jesus spoke of the resurrection but not that of our physical flesh. The body of resurrection is not about matter but antimatter and thus being immortal. And I'm indeed a gnostic, I know myself, where I belong and about the dualism between reality and unreality.

  • Unreality? If something is not real, like ethereal dingos from Neptune, for example, then why should we be concerned about it?

On the other hand, I am more than happy to KNOW your hypotheses about said organisms if they are entertaining.

Gnosticism is nice because it does not require blind faith, just knowledge.

  • The Gnostic understanding of the Demiurge (Yaldabaoth) derives from the one verse in John 8:44 where Jesus calls the God of the Jews 'the devil', calling him a liar and saying he was a murderer from the beginning. In other words, Jesus saw himself as someone who was saving the idea of God from the lies of the Old Testament.

  • Satan is the one behind this teaching that God is evil.

  • What evidence do you have of that?

Gnosis taught of a wholly spiritual good greater god, and a lesser evil god that created and ruled the material world.

That makes more sense than the standard Christian rebuttal for the problem of evil.

  • Gnosticism is the only line of thought addresses the needs and the problems of the spiritual minority across the world. It is also the only logical theodicy.

  • Dunno I quite like the Ireneus Theodicy myself.

  • Cadicus, I think you're on the right track. Just keep questioning things and trying to remember who you really are. Your earliest memory of the sun in your heart greeting the sun on the horizon.

  • Ialdobaoth is pronounced "Ya'll--doe--bay--oth." You must also realize that your slant is on Gnostic Christianity. There are other forms of gnosticism out there as well. Many scholarly studies have been done relating it to politics and New Religious Movements. Here's food for thought: What is it about America that harbors so much apocalypticism and so much modern gnosticism?

  • There is non-Christian forms of Gnosticism?

You should do a video about that.

  • I might do a video soon regarding some of this. This is of course after I publish what I plan on doing so I retain my property and ideas of mine don't get stolen. There are non-xian forms of gnosticism. The thing is, most of our knowledge comes from the xian sources. Gnosticism is a type of thinking that needs a carrier. Total Recall, The Matrix, Dark City and Vanilla Sky are Gnostic movies (some based off books, see Philip K. Dick). Also, see Hans Jonas's book *The Gnostic Religion*.

  • We don't really consider the demiurgos to be so much sadistic as desperate for control--he doesn't cause death because it entertains him but because that is the way of matter and he feels he must control it. And when we say "knowledge", we do not mean memorization or familiarization with the texts--this is knowledge of the spirit, not the mind. This knowledge takes meditation, reflection and dedication to unlock within you. I'm sorry if that turns you off to Gnosticism but it is our way.

  • Whatever is the slang of the day...Hahah.

Well, as a practicing Gnostic, I'm glad you took an interest in some of our writings--it's nice to get a good reaction out of a non-gnostic now and again. We're so used to just being burned at the stake and all of that jazz...

  • About Billy, I didn't say I believe he does it or anybody else.

I just believe is possible and is not irrational to think that way. Again I don't believe in miracles, but I believe that certain things that look like miracles to us are not miracles and yet rationally possibles.

  • I hear that explanation before, it seems pretty logical, but remember that people use to think that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line and our friend Einsten showed us that it isn't. So, as good as it is to be skeptical about the tunnel, it is also good to be skeptical about the scientific explanation.

  • and he ask why we live, and the man told him "to learn to love (who knows his definition of love)" but the amizing part is that he wake up on the funeral, they were poor, so good for him they didn't prepare his body.

  • I personally hear the testimony of a guy the lives in a place on the mountains of my country El Salvador, where there is a total lack of access to media, he said that there was a man that speak his language and told him to get back on the tunel, he didn't want to turn, because he felt ecstasy there

  • I'm glad you got what I mean and I see what you said that is not enough reason to believe in souls; another thing that made me think about it are the narrations of people that die, they all see a tunel with a light in the enf

  • The light at the end of the tunnel phenomenon has been simply explained by a brain being deprived of oxygen. That's just what happens as your brain shuts down. Sorry, but that's the medical explanation.

  • And yeah again, I don't believe in miracles, I believe people can walk on water and cure people by touching them; but I don't believe those are miracles, they all must have a rational explanation, we just don't know it, and hey I'm not talking about the false commercial illusionists.

  • "I believe people can walk on water and cure people by touching them"

Why would you believe that? You know that Billy Graham faith healings are faked, right?

  • I said you got it from the introduction because in my version, what you said is in the introduction, but you have a different version, so it's possible that you actually read it.

  • Miracles stop being miracles once you find out a rational explanation for them. Many things that use to be miracles are reallity these days because of science. These days we see miracles, like people getting cure of cancer and HIV all of the sudden because of their strong faith. However, these miracles may not be consider miracles anymore in the future. Science will explain the cause behind them and we always have something else to look forward.

  • Well, some people call birth a miracle, but I tend to disagree.

  • I actually use to have big doubts about souls until I saw a friend's dead body.

When you see dead bodies you notice that you only see matter, but there is not a sense: of "this is not who it use to be", the sense is more like: "who it use to be is not this" and then you just know it. It is not any different with animals dead bodies, it feels the same thing.

  • I used to clean a morgue, I know what you're talking about, but I would say that it's just because the person is dead. After all, the blood settles to the bottom of the body and the eyes' membranes dry up. Corpses, especially human ones, look waxy.

  • Well, yeah I have those books, no the copy you have tho. They are all unfinnished, when I read them it feels like I'm skiping pages.

I'm agree with what you said about mainstream christianity, still these days that haven't changed.

  • Cadicus The Damned: what you said about gnosticism make good sense. It looks like you got the information from the introduction of the book.

  • None of that was really in the introduction.

You should check out the Nag Hammadi Library. It should be at the library.

Keep in mind that the Gnostics were the intellectuals of the 1st century. "Mainstream" Xtianity was for the unthinking masses.

  • Death Machine Engage you sound like a pantheist to me. To be honest I'm christian and I consider anyone that thinks that he or she is gonna be save; but some others will not be save, are plain antichrists. If you are in a position that you think that your truth is gonna save you and anybody that doesn't share the same truth or part of it won't be save, then you are not a christian and by not being a christian, you should not talk about Jesus.

  • What's to "save?"

There is absolutely no evidence for the existence of souls. The concept of the soul is just an old fairy tale.

  • you're in your head.

  • The followers of the demiurge are the jews(and other possible) if I'm not mistaken. A lot international bankers trying to take over the world are Jewish. Us atheists are the real followers of God (who I'm pretty damn sure is the universe). There is no other "God", the universe is the only thing that truly exists. God just means a superpower. The demiurge isn't acutally the creator of the universe, he represents every thing that 'wants' to be the creator of the universe.

  • Ok, I'm an atheist too (technically an agnostic, but really just a skeptic in general). I don't understand how you can believe in prophecy. It's irrational once you realize that prophecy is so open ended that you can twist it to mean anything you want.

  • The Dragon (The New World Order) is already here. Go check out Alex Jones, Mark Dice, and all these other conspiracy people. The rapture was to come at the end of the age (which lasts 2150) and guess what time it is. Yes, Christ was just an astrological figure signaling the start of an age. Jesus even said in the Book of Judas "The souls of the human generation will all die". And he goes along talking about some "master race" that exits the flesh. We transhumanist know what he is talking about.

  • Actually, were not supposed to be worshiping the universe were supposes to be worshipping our existence and spending our entire lives trying to obtain immortallity. Read revelations, the end of the world is happening, the New World Order (the dragon)is trying to take over the world.

  • People have been waiting to be raptured up to Heaven for two thousand years. They die waiting for John the Mushroomhead's ramblings to occur.

Seriously, don't hold your breath. It's just a fairy tale.

  • "I have no problem with that, but it's rather silly to worship the universe, isn't it? I mean, that's like worshiping your house."

It's the only thing we know exists, we are all within it. Why not? Jesus even said that only a few people will get into Heaven. Those few people are the people that will be immortal. I'm a transhumanist and when they say stuff like "leaving the flesh" that means a lot to us. We will become cyborgs.

  • You people neeed to start thinking about what God really is. God is the universe, he is everything that will ever exist. There is no "meta-physical", there is no other universe, there is no other God, the universe who is God is the only true God.

  • I have no problem with that, but it's rather silly to worship the universe, isn't it? I mean, that's like worshiping your house.

  • Remember....the true God is not some sky daddy about to grant you heaven when you die. In the apcryphon of John, he tells in great detail what God is. GOD IS THE UNIVERSE. All the objects of the universe are his sons and daughters. Why do you think we called the Earth "Mother Earth" and the Sun "Son of God"?

  • You guys need to understand a concept called "Mythopoeic thought". The smart people back then actually knew some of the things we knew today but didn't express them the same. We talk very scientifically and impersonally awhile back then they oftern gave personal themes to everyday objects. Nothing in these gnostic books and jewish and christian books is to be taken literally like we take everything today litterally.

  • God is the universe, the demiurge is a being that craves short-term desire over the long-term. We are all trapped in physical bodies and the only way our spirits will stay alive is if we achieve physical immortallity. Eteranal life is not some heaven you go up to in the sky when you die. NO!!!!!Eternal life is physical immortallity.

  • Within all of us is a divine light a spirit, some feel it , they ask questions and read books to try to understand what it is they feel. Information that stays with you and links up with experiences and feelings you have, this is why you are reading this. Keep searching my friend you will find your answer, only when you see it for yourself will you believe.

  • I agree with the Gnostics that belief is unnecessary... there are saints and enlightened ppl in all religions, they have the "enlightenment experience" regardless of what they believe

You meditate, you follow a path of selflessness and you become an amazing human being

You remove all the bullshit and what your left with is something truly amazing.. Compassion love kindness non-judgement tolerance peace wisdom etc. This I think is God not the arsehole baby killer we read about in the bible

  • I think these fundamentalist christians are worshipping some kinda demi god.. how ironic is that.. its plain to see the new testement and old testement gods are very different. the bible is a very badly put togeather book but if you read between the bullshit jesus' philosophy is very buddhist. try telling that to a fundamentalist christian

  • jesus rocks.. its a shame so many arseholes have hijacked his name... i mean a god that sends u to hell cos you did somethign wrong.. how ridiculous is that.. is he a five yr old child?

  • The god of the Old Testament acts like a petulant and jealous 5 year old, I'd say.

Then again, I'm not a parent. I've never been around kids much, but perhaps charging them capable of genocide is a bit harsh.

  • I suppsoe this is similar to the use of poetic langauge to talk about the experience of love. Love is hard to put into words, except in somewhat fantastical ways..but one doesnt doubt the existence of love when one feels it

  • Love is a chemical reaction.

  • myth perplexes me. I think many academis use the term myth in various ways. Sometimes myths refer to fictitious entities and events, but sometimes myth is a means to be able to talk about transcendntal matters which cannot be readily, or cleary captured or expressed with scientific or everyday, emprircal language.

  • So Id want, myself to have a more compassionate attitude to the demiurge myself. It would be nice to think Jesus came to liberate him, as much as to liberate we humans. And this maybe echoes in ways what the buddha says about how even the Gods need enlightenment

  • Perhaps we could educate him.

Or perhaps he was already enlightened, went on to the True light, and we are left here fumbling around with perverted religions.

Personally, I think it's all myth, but fascinating nonetheless.

  • "Gnosis is the knowledge of who we were and what we became, of where we were and whereinto we have been flung, of whereto we are hastening and wherefrom we are redeemed, of what birth is and what rebirth."

    --Clement of Alexandria

  • as i understand it not all gnostics saw ialdaboath as evil as u put it, i.e consciously sadistic. Some, or is it many, or most, saw him as deluded, and just inferior. Anyway, can he be entirely to blame, anyway, since he was created by Sophia in a manner ill suited to the correct creative technique of the pleroma, and then hidden in a cloud, in which, unsurprisingly, it was hard to see.

  • Hey, I checked out one video from you, and if I could shave off your satanic scraggly beard, you would be even cuter than you are, heheh.
