THAT is not hypnotism. Hypnosis is a state of extreme suggestiveness, meaning the person only does what you want them to when you suggest it. Not when you make some weird hand motion. Also, when in the "sleep" hypnosis state (which is what I assume that was supposed to be), you are completely relaxed. He would not have been able to stay standing like that.

Wow.. I cant say this is not a scam but i personally belive this is possible and here is why: I live in sweden and when i were in elementary school we played a similar game BUT without the clapping or any sound at all and we came to the same result. worked every time.

it might be true that the person being 'hypnotized' knows what is supposed to happen. The thing is the movement is involuntary. it is the persons subconscious mind that is raising the arms when the clapping noise ends
