The trans am is an awesome car. You're only going to fish tail if you don't know how to drive something with power. Was it the best handling car around? Hell no. But it wasn't built for handling at high speeds. It was built for staight line power. You don't see people driving around the streets like it's the fast and the furious, you see them drag racing from stop lights or doing. rolling drags. I will admit the ram air hood on the WS6 limits visibility tho.
They really were badly built, and pretty stupid. What's the point of going fast if you can't take sharp corners without fishtailing? When moving fast in a car, one of the most important things to have is Good Visibility. In this car, you can barely see out of the messed up rear window. Peripheral vision sucks. And, to top it off, they set up the seats so that you're almost lying down, and the dashboard so tall you can hardly see over the top? Just stupid, inefficient and unsafe. Stupid car.
I would love to take all the best qualities from all year firebird TA,s and make a killer car. I've owned a custom 74 TA for 18 years now but love most all styles.
Basically what it comes down to is, the last T/A coming at you in black looks more badass than any other car in history. End of story.

trans am was NEVER a holden design or an import it was made and built on the exact same assembly line as the camaro so if the trans am is holden so is camaro.

Being a die hard Ford fan, I've got no problem with Trans Ams. I think Pontiac did a much better job with their version than Chevy did with the Camaro. Don't forget that TA's and Camaro's stopped production in 2002. If a stock terminator couldn't beat or come close to beating one it'd be fucking sad since it's 5 years down the road. Also and widley searchable the WS.6 STOCK was a 911 killer from 1998-2002.

dude...the 289 engine was phenominal. how about the 302? cranking it over to a 347...thats amazing man. i back you up on fords. mustang is best bang for your buck. built 289 mustangs would eat supras alive on the track. and wouldnt break down every two seconds. personally im a mopar fan, but i love all muscle cars. i love the ws6's, really aggressive and fuckin haul ass. but man a 347 notchback with spray all engine running 9's, thats impressive. if i could afford it, id get a procharged mach 1.

Being a die hard Ford fan, I've got no problem with Trans Ams. I think Pontiac did a much better job with their version than Chevy did with the Camaro. As a matter of fact, I'm probably gonna buy an 02 WS6 here soon. My problem is with the owners; they all think b/c their engine has a higher displacement than a Mustang's that it's automatically better. It's the retard owners that ruin the car.

dude...id take a newer trans am OR a mach 1, or even a newer gt over my 85 305 trans am anyday lol. im sure the 85 t/a was good in its day, but its getting old. but it still rumbles at idle and shakes when i rev it, and beats gay honda civic si's at redlights so im happy. and the t tops are always good even though its cold half the year up here in upstate new york haha. i would take a mach 1 over a ws6 anyday probably, less people have em, and they are fast as hell.

I have a 94 Stock LT1. I dirt all over mustangs. They need mods just to keep up. its quite sad really. and theres no way in hell a stock 5.0 well beat a 5.7 i dont even think a stock 5.0 can beat my mommys buick regal. Both my cousins have 5.0's. One is all stock the other has headers, exhaust, and Nitrous. Nitrous gets me, but let me remind u that im all STOCK! and theres no freaking way anything is beating a WS6 or SS coming from FORD

well everyone knows that f-bodies are faster and better handling than most cars on the road, let alone mustangs. them going out of production has nothing to do with the fact that they still out perform the current mustang. also, the trans am is one of the most noted cars in pop-culture. the f-body was the fastest car you could buy for under 30,000 and still is a great performer and value.

Don't forget that TA's and Camaro's stopped production in 2002. If a stock terminator couldn't beat or come close to beating one it'd be fucking sad since it's 5 years down the road. Also and widley searchable the WS.6 STOCK was a 911 killer from 1998-2002.

4th gen f-bodies were horrible in design, ugly little things. sure, the late 2nd gens and 3rd gens didnt have the power out of the factory, but they look dam good, and with a little extra money you can make any car move.

Either you are an idiot when it comes to math or you don't know cars very well but 29,000 is not nearly half of 33,500. As for a power adder, didn't GM f bodies get that from the corvette in 1993. Since their 5.0 got spanked, they had to borrow the corvette engine.
