  • Ani is amazing. 'nuff said.

  • i love how her magic shuts up the crowd and everyone's listening closely. you could hear a hair break in that silence.ani rocks.

  • she is by far the best female musician and thats just my opinion :) she is lovley and perfect. i admire her heaps. too bad 'callous' hasnt been put up on you tube, that song is one of my favourites.

  • jeez she's loving that tenor for this album ey? Gorgeous

  • I'm *pretty* sure this was at Bluesfest in Ottawa---was a really good concert, the fans weren't all that incredible though, really.

  • GREAT

  • I have lived in Buffalo most of my life (and rather disliked it, truth be told.) To have a cool, interesting woman like her grace this city, casually making a great mark on the music scene (for 20 years and counting) is something Western New York can truly be proud of.

  • Ani is my freakin hero.

  • is that a 4 string guitar shes playing?

  • tenor guitar its a spinoff of a banjo common in the 1920-'30

  • Just ignore this drwierd troll. He goes on all the Ani videos to cause problems. If you don't give them any attention they'll go away.

  • Ani is among the great poets and performers of our time. We're lucky she's around and as prolific and energetic as she is. I hope she paces herself, enjoys her life, and will continue to grace us with her presence and genius for many years to come. Thank you Ani!

  • Maybe people just don't understand literature and poetry analysis and don't look at things from a broader perspective. Sometimes songs are best when dissected and picked apart, when they are obscure and need thinking. When people can take them however personal they want to and mold them into their own, really. That is the beauty of lyrics like Ani's. They allow room for interpretation. They are meant for the poetic souls wanting more than rhymes in their songs.

  • I think you said it all

  • Sorry if it's already posted but does anyone know when this was?

  • maybe trying a a little too hard to be clever

    but i just don't care.

someone needs to try, at least.

    i like this song.

  • I love the sound of the bass really popping it near the end which is different from the original track.

  • Is she playing a "tenor" "upright bass"?

  • I think it's a Harmony tenor guitar...not really a bass though.

  • WOW CLEVER!

  • do you even understand what she means?

  • no, you just need a brain which obviously you don't have. how old are you anyway 15?

  • exactly, now when you are a little older and have some more perspective and experience you might understand what this song is about. She's saying that just as we nourish our bodies, we need to nourish our hearts.

  • actually it is. And you really really are not. You're just a dumb kid, and that's a pretty common thing.

  • And you have to be an inbred dumbass to make stupid comments like that.

  • haha lol

  • amazing song!

  • I love this song :)

  • This is an amazing song that I listen to frequently. She is just a jewel. I started learning the upright bass because of this song!!!

  • She sounds great. She looks amazing as well.

  • zoysgdfiuahgzoepuhwer+ani= amazing
