  • This is very early, possible the first BBC performance for them. Pete is still in the group. You can hear some of his poor overplaying beginning just after the one minute point. He had a tendency to try and hog the spotlight, not the simple solid back beat you want in a good drummer.

  • I love the picture of John and Paul nearly showing their underpants.

  • 1:12 is Georgeous :O

  • wow excelente !!! es la primera vez que la escucho... sin palabras... saludos desde argentina.

  • I love george at 0:43 <3

  • 1:10 ah. the views better without pete best

  • damn he sounds like elvis... if that is paul singing thats how good he was WOW

  • This does not sound like Paul at all.

  • Sounds kinda like Elvis!

  • dream forever says 99 the minute you stop dreamin, the world will stop spinning

  • I only knew Roy Orbison's song but this cover is awesome! Do you know if I can find it in any Beatles' record?

  • THIS IS NOT THE BEATLES, UNLESS THEY ARE BACKING UP SOME VOCALIST LIKE TONY SHERIDAN.

  • @gmd1417 Actually, this is the Beatles, with Paul singing. In 1962 they did some live recordings for the BBC, this being one of them. They did do the one album, backing Tony Sheridan in June of 1962. Paul, even as early as 1961 was very adept at imitating people like Elvis and Orbison, so I have no doubt that this is Paul. It's definitely not Tony Sheridan though, I gaurantee that.

  • @mattsabby definitely Macca, I believe this was one of their earlier songs from the Cavern playlist, recorded initially to woo would-be record labels...as we know, all but one rejected them.

  • 0:36 Ringo looks like a terrorist!

  • @PERROMALDO a terrorist? just because he's got a mustache and beard? terrorists have no specific look... any joe of the street could be a terrorist...

  • Mohammed Starr at 0:36

  • A Great Song and Great group love Shirls xx

  • Incidentally- This is, in fact, tfrom the Beatles very first performance on the BBC. Pete Best is on drums on this one.

The other 3 songs done as part of this first performance were Please Mr. Postman and Picture of You.

  • This is a good recording. Has elements of Johnny Cash (Boom-Chika-Boom) is early tempo.

  • Who is that at 1;28-1:31?

  • @PJGM8 Questo è il grande Paul McCartney, un giovanissimo McCartney
