The post processing irritates me a lot in these photos. I think this is a style and some people seem to like it. Bottom line is that I THINK most of them are over-processed. But, again, since this is in demand, you are doing it good. I am not against post processing by the way. Just an opinion that they are overly done.
Nice location and hard work, though. Good luck. (my fav. is 7:17)
great shoot and everything but i have 1 question i just saw ur assistant hand lifting ur power extention a few inches above the water , arent u concerned u & ur team + the model all getting electrocuted from the generator ?
hello John, big fan of all your amazing work. I was wondering if you had to recommend one or two great lenses and money was not an issue, which lenses would you recommend? Also, do you use a light meter and if so, which light meter do you use? Do you thing the L358 is a good enough light meter to accomplish the models shoots you shoot? Thanks for sharing your art with us.
Great series as always but really curious to know your lighting ratio between the beauty dish and brolley? Do you remove any hard background shadows in post? And would I be correct in assuming you stop the ambient light down 2 stops when setting up the lighting rig? Cheers :D
what an amazing video. i was blown away. the model is super hot. the video editing is superb. the song makes you fall in love with the story. and the images... just wow, so darn incredible i had to pause the video and drool a few times with each photo. this is pure art.
freaking awesome colors, did not expect such an astonishing outcome. one note though, many shots have water line on the horizon tilting to one side, in my opinion very distracting. see 7:12, just my 2 cents.
truly awesome production. so much risk with the electrical equipment and the water... you really made it happen. photos look stunning. amazing photoshop skills,
is this RPV p del m? i like going there to take landscape pictures! i wish i knew when your shoots were so i can see up front a real shoot i only live about 15 min from there!
Arthur you're my great teacher..... I've learn a lot from your VDO...Wishing one day you would come to Singapore to do the workshop......* HAPPY NEW YEAR & All the best for you* ........
@tuisiriporn thank you my friend. i wish you a Happy New Year as well... All the best for you as well. Wish I can visit Singapore someday.... someday...
@IwanJasonTV thank you. yes I used the 17-40mm F/4 L... it's my favorite lens and the lens I use most often.. very light, very sharp (in fact one of the sharpest lenses I've used with the most accurate color/contrast/saturation). in most cases, the lens is more important than the camera (in my opinion).
@floryka thank you. i apprecaite those words. i actually used the canon 50D for this shoot, but you are right, the camera does not matter... mastering lighting and post production is what makes all the difference.
@skyxwalker thank you. RAW processing inside photoshop. export the file via 16bit, 300dpi, cr2,.. color correct, enhance the photo, etc.. etc.. save as TIFF.
Her striking features give her that middle eastern look, awesome model.

He used the Canon 17-40mm f / 4 L
it's not about the lens or an expensive camera, it's about who makes the pictures

@IwanJasonTV Exactly right Jason! Its all about how you use the camera, your eye, if its good people will know by your photographs!

it is a 17-40 mm f 4 on a canon 40 D. The camera is not important to a great photographer like Arthur.
