Brutal is really the same for every Character but gruesome. The Baby one was the worst but MK 2011 try to make it Worst to Best.
Other than that, theres always DLC for Friendships. Friendship would be my Point of View for MK not to mention of how Shao Kahn will react of appearing it again.

When you play as human smoke, his friendship is he sees a no smoking sign in front of him and gets disappointed.
