Seems to me like every character in this video game is inspired in some other more famous character from movies or video games as well. For example, Spinal is like the skeletons from "Jason and the Argonauts". Glacius is like T-1000 from "Terminator 2". Fulgor is like the predator in "Predator". Riptor is almost a velociraptor from "Jurassic Park" and TJ combo looks like Balrog in the street fighter game.
