hitting z again doesn't have anything to do with it. Using Z after you've done a long jump is pointless because while your in the air of said long jump, z is a null button, i.e. it does absolutely nothing until you hit the ground
all you do is a long jump at the correct position and angle
you do not spend the videos in slow motion

1. Long jump forward, then start moving backwards WHILE still long jumping.
2. Once Mario's back is against the wall, quickly press a THEN z. That's it.
