  • This happened to me but i found a FIX!! Turn the d7000 on and off 10 times, waiting 5 seconds in between every time. I freaked out when i saw this, but after much digging around, this worked for me.

  • The 1.01 firmware fixed this on mine, but only after turning the camera on and off ten times with a 3-second pause between each.

  • @wm8s I would say mine is masked, I can still see what appears to be a smear of surrounding colors which once was purple. I'm glad they patched it though.

  • Is it an LCD error or does the dead pixels show in photos and videos?

  • @kauxkaux It only appears during video and it is not the screen, it shows up on the actual footage.

  • I use and sell these things for a living. Video on an SLR is dumbest thing ever. Save your money and get a camera without video. then use the money you saved to get an HD camcorder. Sony has good ones out there for less than 500 bucks.

  • switch to 720p, view in full screen.

  • right.... my first D7000, notice, MY FIRST D7000... had 5 struck pixels in blue green ad red, in the center of the sensor.

I`ve returned the camera day after and got a new one... guess what it has 3 struck pixels !

  • I bought one 2 days back. Man! what to say! I've got three hot pixels.. one quite noticeable, its more like a cluster of hot pixels than just one right there. 1 blue dot as well. Feeling terrible. I'll tb aking back the cam to the store coming weekend. Hope they give me a replacement.

  • I see it now. I thought it was a spec of dust on my laptop. Wow How do you fix something like this?

  • Where isssss itttt?

  • turn in 720p

  • its a little black dot?

  • looks good to me

  • I am sorry, but I can't find the stuck pixels.

  • looks good to me

  • @mesastreetmonkeyz i think u missed the pixel lol

  • jeez the focusing motor is LOUD, need an external mic

  • @hasterok yeah it's pretty loud, but I don't really care, I never use the auto focusing in it, but the struck pixels are just unacceptable. I have a case with Nikon right now and have uploaded this video to them.
