@amcw hello there! it's been a while since we've talked, but i've continued to enjoy your uploads, as well as those of other LNFH fans. may i ask if you know what the cute little guitar askil is playing is called? i looked online at some guitars, but none looked quite like his. thanks! also, congrats on getting to see kurt & kork! how great that night must have been for you and everybody else there. i had listened to the songs on you tube, but enjoyed all of them when i "saw" him perform!
@101YTFAN Hi, it's a mandolin. The Christmas concert was lovely and Kurt was certainly "on form". Hoping to go see Kurt at some of the festival concerts he is doing this summer here in Norway. Also announced that he will do a "concert marathon" just before Christmas in his hometown, Bergen.
what a jolly version of a penitent's woeful song of regret. i know this version doesn't fit the true mood of this classic tune, but it was still fun. i really enjoyed it, as well as watching all our guys strumming their instruments & smiling. kurt's singing sounds, of course, fantastic!!
What I love is that as an American who grew up on country and rock music, there is no better country singer than Kurt Nilsen. And he can do rock and roll too! Amazing
Kurt did a great job singing as always, but I must say I don't like this version as much as the one he recorded with Willie Nelson... Maybe because this one has much more of a "country" feel to the way it's played, and I'm not really a fan of country music. I love the album version because it's sort of a slow, sorrowful song that is just beautiful and moving. This version seems almost... I dunno... too happy? =/
these guys look like there all having a blast on stage. would have loved to have been there Kurt America needs you!
