@Anomalie666 it's the same number of apps available for both the 3gs and 4 through the app market, iPhone 4 has a better screen display, that means more pixels, crisper image, and a better contrast (retina display), while the 3gs has a standardt tft lcd screen which is okay too, iPhone 4 is a bit faster in loading apps as this video shows, but I think 3gs is still an amazing phone as you can see, and a lot of people are buying it today because of it's price, it competes well with iphone 4

@Anomalie666 you'll be quite happy with it, you can consider an iPod touch 4g too, it's the same thing as iPhone 4, only it's 3 times cheaper and it's not really a phone, so it has all the features the iPhone 4 has (retina display, high res, front face camera,cpu, apps, design), but it has no phone features (calling, sms)

iPod is great for people who don't use phones that much or already have one, so they use iPod for apps and fun and their old phones for calling and sms
