I have no idea why anyone true Christian in their right mind would have any issue against Billy Graham. Billy never said anything wrong. Before to take the step to criticize women preaching, you need to learn and understand sufficiently the Word of God. The Bible did not forbid women to preach, if you learn what was going in Corinth, you would know that men and women were separated in the church and then women who felt bored were trying to communicate with their husbands on the other side of the curtain, that's why Paul asked them

I don't really give specific attention about man's interpretation of the Scriptures.I am aware of the fact that a man can even be sincere while misinterpreting the Scriptures; what I studied is enough and from evidence, it could be claimed it as the TRUTH and not my logic , the Scriptures have to do with the TRUTH of God instead of "man logic".
The Scriptures nowhere forbid a woman to preach specifically, regardless of the age, sex, or number of hearers or the place of the preaching. You may wish to apply Paul's corrective injunction against a woman speaking or teaching. Paul had already conceded generally that she could pray and prophesy/teach (1 Cor. 11, 14), and he also encouraged speaking and teaching in singing. Let's get that strait once and for all. Paul forbid women who used to chat in the church to shut up. In Ephesians Paul forbid women to teach because of what was going on there, these women were powerful and "Diana worshipers" and taught the doctrine of their godess that's why they were rebuked to teach.
@simonia352 Correct. If you read that scripture carefully, you will notice that it says, "the woman", not "women". Paul was speaking of a certain woman, not all women. If he truly believed that women should not speak, preach, teach or prophesy, then why did he approve and even encourage the female leaders of congregations? As always, when reading Scripture keep in mind the context: what is written before and after? What was happening at the time? No cherry-picking please!

@IPetrosHimPetra I agree with everything you said here. The key is that sin is a symptom of unbelief. Therefore if someone is still in sin, then rather than addressing the sin itself, we need to address the cause, the unbelief. If we can do that, and encourage people to live in him then the symptom - sin, will deal with itself as they start living in harmony with God. If they go on sinning, refusing to accept him, I do agree that they will be lost, however it isn't for us to pass this judgement.
Notice it says no greater love has a man than to lay down his life for his friends. God showed us a greater love still as He lay down His life for His enemies as it was while we were still sinners that Christ dies for us. This shows something of the completely undersealed mercy, grace and love of God to shed His blood at Calvary for His enemies.

In Romans 5 it say that scarcely someone will die for a righteous man. It may even be that someone might dare to die for a good man, but God has shown us how much He loved us for it was while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
In John Jesus said that no greater love has a man than he give his life for his friends. and you are my friends if you do what I command you.
So if we don't do what He commands us we are not His friend.
It also says that we were once the enemies of God. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we come to be called God's friends. And to truly have faith in Christ means we will repent and believe the Gospel, deny ourselves take up our cross and follow the Lord. Many use sloppy evangelism like God love the sinner and hates the sin but read psalm 5,5 and you will see that God not only hates sin but hates the sinner for doing it. He hates all workers of iniquity.
I know we are told not to stand in the sinners way as it says in psalms. And God resists the proud and give grace to the humble. Jesus gave a good example of this when he came across proud people he would resist them by taken them to the law of Moses (10 commandments). As it says in Ephesians the Law is the school master to bring us to faith in Christ.

@IPetrosHimPetra all these scriptures are against sin. But they are scriptures advising us against sin, not telling us that he wants us to go around telling non-believers to stop sinning. Note that Jesus loved Gentiles, tax collectors, prostitutes, thieves and murderers. The only group of people he despised were the pharisees who spent their days doing nothing but telling others how to live their lives, but do not themselves have a relationship with God, only an obsession with the law.
A point to remember is that like with the women caught in Adultery who was going to be stoned. Jesus forgave her but he also told her to sin no more. And there where others he also told to stop sinning after healing them or something worse would happen to them. True Christians will have a new attitude towards sin and will hate any sin in there lives wanting to flee from it. The same thing is going on today in majority of Christian churches. The leadership aren't exposing sin so the people think they don't need to repent. This causes wickedness to abound and eventually God will intervene. God has a tremendous hatred towards the sin in His church.
You need to read the book of Acts. You will see that their were woman pastors. So saying that the bible teaches that is wrong then you are saying the bible is wrong.
The bible gives us a mandate of what's right and wrong, so we can use it as a mirror to see our own imperfection, not so that we can tell others how to live. Can you show me a single scripture that tells us to "take a stand against sin" ?

Obviously sin is wrong living so if all scripture is useful for instruction for right living it would suggest that the whole bible is against sin. We will here it and obey it if we are wise as in the parable of the 2 house builders (Matt 7:24-26). In Lamentations 2:14 you will see why Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians.
In my country there is a huge sin in the church called apathy. This is a result of covertness. People believe that there happiness comes from having material things. As a result they are not looking to the Lord to sustain them. If the Lord has to bring a major economic collapse to shake His people free from this He will. And it isn't too far away.

Before to take the step to criticize women preaching, you need to learn and understand sufficiently the Word of God. The Bible did not forbid women to preach, if you learn what was going in Corinth, you would know that men and women were separated in the church and then women who felt bored were trying to communicate with their husbands on the other side of the curtain, that's why Paul asked them
" not to speak" ;the Greek word used do not mean " don't preach" , but rather " don't speak"

The Scriptures nowhere forbid a woman to preach specifically, regardless of the age, sex, or number of hearers or the place of the preaching. You may wish to apply Paul's corrective injunction against a woman speaking or teaching. Paul had already conceded generally that she could pray and prophesy/teach (1 Cor. 11, 14), and he also encouraged speaking and teaching in singing. Let's get that strait once and for all. People need to read the word thoroughly for themselves

The biggest evangelist was a woman, she converted the whole city to Christ. Paul said to women "not to speak", which is different of " not to preach", and the Greek words used are distinctive. Paul forbid women who used to chat in the church to shut up. In Ephesians Paul forbid women to teach because of what was going on there, these women were powerful and "Diana worshipers" and taught the doctrine of their godess that's why they were rebuked to teach.

@simonia352 Correct. If you read that scripture carefully, you will notice that it says, "the woman", not "women". Paul was speaking of a certain woman, not all women. If he truly believed that women should not speak, preach, teach or prophesy, then why did he approve and even encourage the female leaders of congregations? As always, when reading Scripture keep in mind the context: what is written before and after? What was happening at the time? No cherry-picking please!

@IPetrosHimPetra I agree with everything you said here. The key is that sin is a symptom of unbelief. Therefore if someone is still in sin, then rather than addressing the sin itself, we need to address the cause, the unbelief. If we can do that, and encourage people to live in him then the symptom - sin, will deal with itself as they start living in harmony with God. If they go on sinning, refusing to accept him, I do agree that they will be lost, however it isn't for us to pass this judgement.

Notice it says no greater love has a man than to lay down his life for his friends. God showed us a greater love still as He lay down His life for His enemies as it was while we were still sinners that Christ dies for us. This shows something of the completely undersealed mercy, grace and love of God to shed His blood at Calvary for His enemies.
Most people know and love quoting the truth will set you free but this is only part of the verse.

In Romans 5 it say that scarcely someone will die for a righteous man. It may even be that someone might dare to die for a good man, but God has shown us how much He loved us for it was while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
In John Jesus said that no greater love has a man than he give his life for his friends. and you are my friends if you do what I command you.
So if we don't do what He commands us we are not His friend.

It also says that we were once the enemies of God. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we come to be called God's friends. And to truly have faith in Christ means we will repent and believe the Gospel, deny ourselves take up our cross and follow the Lord. Many use sloppy evangelism like God love the sinner and hates the sin but read psalm 5,5 and you will see that God not only hates sin but hates the sinner for doing it. He hates all workers of iniquity.

I know we are told not to stand in the sinners way as it says in psalms. And God resists the proud and give grace to the humble. Jesus gave a good example of this when he came across proud people he would resist them by taken them to the law of Moses (10 commandments). As it says in Ephesians the Law is the school master to bring us to faith in Christ.
I know many believe Jesus loves everybody but the bible says apart from faith it is impossible to please God

@IPetrosHimPetra all these scriptures are against sin. But they are scriptures advising us against sin, not telling us that he wants us to go around telling non-believers to stop sinning. Note that Jesus loved Gentiles, tax collectors, prostitutes, thieves and murderers. The only group of people he despised were the pharisees who spent their days doing nothing but telling others how to live their lives, but do not themselves have a relationship with God, only an obsession with the law.

A point to remember is that like with the women caught in Adultery who was going to be stoned. Jesus forgave her but he also told her to sin no more. And there where others he also told to stop sinning after healing them or something worse would happen to them. True Christians will have a new attitude towards sin and will hate any sin in there lives wanting to flee from it. Romans 8 says if we live according to the flesh (natural desires) we will die as the wages of sin is death

The same thing is going on today in majority of Christian churches. The leadership aren't exposing sin so the people think they don't need to repent. This causes wickedness to abound and eventually God will intervene. God has a tremendous hatred towards the sin in His church.

Obviously sin is wrong living so if all scripture is useful for instruction for right living it would suggest that the whole bible is against sin. We will here it and obey it if we are wise as in the parable of the 2 house builders (Matt 7:24-26). In Lamentations 2:14 you will see why Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians.

In my country there is a huge sin in the church called apathy. This is a result of covertness. People believe that there happiness comes from having material things. As a result they are not looking to the Lord to sustain them. If the Lord has to bring a major economic collapse to shake His people free from this He will. And it isn't too far away.

My wife has the gift of teaching/leading and when ever she leads worship, there is such a powerful presents of God there. And when she speaks, God uses her in such a powerful yet gentle way.
