  • If owebama says no to Keystone, he loses union votes, if yes.. he loses tree-huggers. Either way he loses. and we WIN.

  • Again, our leaders are talking in semantics, when they say drill here;drill now,so wecan have cheaper gas prices. What they are really saying is,drill here, andwe will place the oil on the world market,so low gas prices willcome down, via international control. They are fooling us with these semantics. If America Drills For America,WE NEED TO KEEP IT FOR AMERICA,NOT FOR THE WORLD MARKETS.America needs to getout of the worlds crap,Like we did in 1776,The world fled EU,and found Opportunities in America

  • Shell has been allowed to start drilling another well in gulf today, but what has me worried,is the comment that was made by the shell rep. He was asked, will this help bring down gas pricess? He said, any time you increase the oil in the markets,it affects Prices! Heres our problem, America is screaming for our country to Drill her own reserves for Americas personal usage,You have heard the term drill baby drill. Well what good is it, if its not for Americas own personal usage,America for America!

  • if the left would shut up and start drilling now, our kids and grandkids will not have to rely on foreign oil.

  • If we don't take control of it a communist nation will go ahead and do so after the collapse of our country, which makes it even easier for them to take power over our nation. It's either eat or be eaten.

  • It's not gonna matter when china stops trading with us declaring our dollar "useless".

  • better to use oil from other countries now and when they run out use your own

  • not much activity on this post, i wonder why?

  • Tar and Feather

  • You tell em Newt! drill here drill now! and please come back Newt we need conservatives again!

  • to all you people that say this is just a hoax and talking point you are so wrong yes we have rights to drill where there no frrrreaking oil or so little it's not worth so you liberals should get on you phone and say to congressman and say trade some land so we can drill there and that will flood the markets and anyone that's took economics 101 higher the the supply the lower the price!!!!

  • Georgia Congressman says we have the pipelines in place in Florida. So we need to drill now.

Our goverment will receive a percentage when the oil countries drill.

If we don't drill other countries will. ( dumb bell )

Alternative fuel is a decade away.

Meanwhile, dumb liberal, you can hitchhike to work; I want to drive when and where I want in a vehicle of my choice.

  • This is such a crock

Any new oil leases go to the six big oil companies, three of which are foreign owned (BP, Shell, Total)

Even if they get the new leases, there's no requirement to drill

These companies are currently sitting on millions of acres of unused drilling leases, because a tight oil supply drives up prices, making them huge profits

The oil does not go to some 'USA only' oil supply, it is sold by big oil on the global market to the highest bidder

This is just a massive land grab

  • To the people in support of not drilling.... While alternative energy is the way to go, what are we to do until an affordable, reliable, and again AFFORDABLE form of alternative energy is found?? Drill now, lower our fuel costs and continue to search for other means of energy. Ethanol's current national average is $3.10 a gallon and you get far less mpg. AS WELL, ITS BASED ON A FOOD SOURCE. Yeah that's a great idea! McCAIN '08!!!

  • Pelosi wants to drain our strategic reserves

that is STUPID!Hurry up & empty it before Israel attack's Iran BRILLIANT!Putin is ex-KGB

he has used most of the money from the incredible amount of oil in Russia that has

sold for record prices on the Military! He loves high oil price's he is bringing old Russia back with a vengence.2 weeks ago a Russian Genral threatened to Nuke Poland! They must not have oil. They threatened Poland &

U.S. last week when they finalized their missle defense deal!

  • I'm not american but if i were i'd support it, it will create long term jobs and extra resources.

  • America has more then 2% dumb ass. America has more oil then the middle east. We have more coal then the middle east has oil as well. We also have the ability to goto war for whatever reason our president says. We also have the ability to shut down buying oil and giving food to these other countries. Think of what could happen, thank you!.

  • America has Dumb ass as much as libo-democrats

top it off ,Ted Keneddy klan Equalls all the Dumb asses :)

  • Oh, yea, can you imagine a safe way of using nuclear power for automobiles? Might give the terrorists ideas, but think of how long a car can run on a single teaspoon of enriched uranium!! I would venture almost 2 million miles. Think of driving a car for 2 million miles without a single fill up! Now there's your answer.

  • Here is a solution, put the middle east out of business, stop buying their OIL for 30 days and see what happens while we open a reserve. Watch what happens you will be paying 1.10 by the summer of 09.

  • Are you on crack? America has 2% of the worlds oil supply. There is not enough to do anything, not to mention it will all end up on the world market anyway.

  • If ONE DRILL touches our US soil or offshore, I'm not voting for Obama....

  • Don't drill..SCREW OIL! Why not fix the energy problem once and for all with 100% renewables. At a rate of $700 billion dollars a year, we can find better solutions that will never run out and never polute. Wind, solar, lightning, Hydro, geo..etc. Stuff that you don't burn. Wake up people!! Drilling more...will only make more profit for the multi national oil groups.

    Chat about it at:

    JoeUSA(dot)yuki(dot)com

  • by the time we feel the effects of domestic oil, many new vehicles will have a hybrid or hydrogen fuel option like the upcomming bmw hydrogen 7 or the honda clarity fcx and chevrolet's hybrid tahoe and ford's escape. there is even a 700hp supercar(lightning gt) that only takes 10 minutes to charge.

the idea of domestic drilling is too late. if many of you people are worried about foreign oil then make the effort to find cheaper more advanced and newer energy sources.

  • Israel is attacking Iran soon and gas will be $8 or $9 a gallon. We will be lucky to get much if any oil out of the Middle East when it breaks loose there !I guess Democrat's want Americans to ride bicycles and truckers to use covered wagons.China & Cuba are drilling off the east Florida coast but,we can't !They could end up with billions of barrels of our oil that stretches back under the ocean into U.S. waters !We are giving 700-billion a year to countries that hate our guts !We could do it all

  • As you state China is already tapping American resources, so if the environment is going to be impacted, wouldn't it be better for a country who has a high regard for the environment rather than one, who is atop the most polluted?

  • I would love to see liberals go protest in Russia & Red China! It would be a hell of lot more dangerous to their health.Obama praised

China last week for their infrastructure ports, train system & airports! It's sick i guess if we made 12yr olds wotk 14 hours a day

& we had record of Chinese manufacturing scandal he would be embarrassed of Americans as much.He is embarrassed all American's can't

speak Spanish & we can't speak other languages

when in Europe but,the can speak English when

    here!

  • Are you kidding me ? what are you expecting from such a dumb ass

  • I'm behind you 100%

  • the rushie neocons are sooo much like killers charlie manson and jefferie dahmer that i confuse the three ... consider their best buddies ... ken lay, scooter libby, karl rove ... the bin laden family ... and when an honest person speaks up like mineta did on 911 ... the 50, 30, 10 miles ... aircraft has hit the pentagon under oath testimony ... they throw him under the bus ... diabolical .. the neocons spend $400M+ for show biz talk shows to dupe the dopes . but they had to knock off russert

  • the rushie neocons are sooo much like killers charlie manson and jefferie dahmer that i confuse the three ... they don't give a rip about community ... they get the largest of suvs that get 9 mpg ... to suck up as much gasoline as possible ... so that the price that you pay at the pump is much higher ... they tell you that it's about freedom ... but just don't give a rip ... diabolical ... the neocons spend $400M+ for show biz talk shows to dupe the dopes ... but they had to knock off russert

  • Drill NOW!!!

  • the rushie neocons are sooo much like killers charlie manson and jefferie dahmer that i confuse the three ...

the rushies insist that the motion for drilling offshore was what caused the price of oil to drop ... not the chinese raising their government subsidized price of gasoline by 18% ... because they are trying to get you to eat your increased costs or steal your job ... diabolical .. the neocons spend $400M+ for show biz talk shows to dupe the dopes . but they had to knock off russert

  • explain how the conservatives are like manson and dahmer. no seriously i'll wait for your response. that has to be the dumbest thing any uneducated individual has ever said in the history of ever.

  • only reason why the left won't agree to the drilling for oil is because if they agree to drilling they lose all their backing by the green peace lobbyists. i'm sick of relying on foreign oil!

  • Amen to that bruce deux. I agree, we don't need hypocrites in the lobbyists back pockets any more.

  • When they say "we need to drill more," what they're really pushing is the oil companies desire to open up the coast to more profitable offshore drilling.

The US on-shore oil reserves are 53 billion barrels--on-shore drilling should be expanded, but the oil companies don't want it because most of those reserves are not on land they own.

The corporate media and corporate-owned politicians are merely pusing their profit agenda, as usual, with no regard for the needs of the people

  • Don't just sign the petition, call your Congressman.

  • I find it ironic that conservation is not one of the goals of the "American Solution". Face the facts- either we're going to conserve voluntarily or economics and available resources will do it for us.

  • This is so true. Oil is traded in the international market. This campaign is targeted to uneducated people. And it's sad to see how many people are buying into it blindly. It's also sad to see these people turning it into a political battle. We ALL have a serious problem to face and this "American Solutions" nonsense only compounds it.

  • we're not going to fix this problem with more oil. we'll just run out of that oil too. We need to look at our addiction to oil and do something about that first.

  • We can't drill our way out of a lack of drilling! The poll numbers say so! muaananananan!!!

  • < means less than *

  • There is no shortage of oil. Our daily production<global demand. There is where the problem lies.

  • Amazing that so many people will repeat the usual Democrat takking points: "it will take 10 years...there is only x amount", bla, bla bla. The fact is that there is no shortage of oil. The Earth makes it. And if these idiots would have started drilling in the 80's when they started these bogus talking points, we would be better off today. It can be done clean and safe - no environmental destruction. Why should we pay Canada & Mexico (our top oil providers) for the same oil we can tap ourselves?

  • but no off shore drilling right......U BASTERDS

  • i am sad that there are so many millions of selfish, self-serving, spoiled americans who would rather sacrifice pristine wilderness and coastal areas, so they can get to drive their 5 mile an hour gas guzzler, at a 27 cents savings!

  • All my research points to the contrary. If we opened up ANWR and the OCS, it could only increase US oil production by 2mil/bpd at best, and would require several decades to reach that level. Not to mention the lack of drilling rigs we currently face. It appears we can't drill our way out of this problem.

  • I agree, and signed the Petition.

Does anyone know where to find a List of the Environmental Regulations that pertain to Drilling in the US?

Some of them are probably overkill, and should be repealed, or ammended.

  • I have signed Newt and agree with you. Now I decide which meal to eat (SERIOUSLY). I do have one question and do not take this as an insult if whatever party you maybe reading this. How the heck can I get two of the most stubborn Dem. in the Senate to vote for this even if I have sent something into them or called their office. My State is filled with Dems. (No Offense to that party meant)

  • I signed the petition too and have been posting it on the communities and blogs I have visited as well as sent the information to everyone I know. I also wrote all of my Congressmen/women as well as the President. Hopefully they will all listen and do something about our energy crisis!

  • I have already sent it to everyone I know that is under Kennedy!

  • Your only helping the oil companies & the Chinese.

  • If it were about more oil asap they wouldn't be proposing drilling offshore which is slow and costly. They'd be setting up drill rigs on leases they already hold (and are sitting on) and start drilling. They could be refining that oil before the first new offshore rig was even ready for delivery.

  • You obviously don't know shit other than what you hear on T.V. Even if it takes 10 years then maybe our children will not be in this mess. Why drill a well that will only last 5years when you know where 20 years worth the oil is. Get a F'n clue.

  • The clue is Drill Here, Drill Now, so we can Pay Less - that's not a twenty-year proposal.

  • Larger vehicles are already taxed higher, annual tabs, by wieght , at tolls, and those of us who need them for our jobs, at the pump!

  • Nice comments and I believe most of them are true. Personally, I also think vehicles getting awful gas mileage, like RV's, pickup trucks, SUV's and high performance vehicles should be properly taxed since if you can afford to run em, you can afford to pay for em. We are all in this together is my point. Work together and sacrifice a bit.

  • Newt does not make the argument that drilling oil here, now will solve all of our problems, but you cant say it wont help.

  • The argument is that it wont have any effect for up to five years. That was the same argument when Clinton was President. If we would have done it then would be pumping out our own oil and not still being dependent on foreign oil. Second people want to blame the Republicans for our dependency. Well maybe you should learn your history. It was actually Carter and his price controls.

  • Even if they approved the drilling off the coast, the process of building the platforms and even extracting a single barrel of oil will take five years, at a minimum...let alone producing enough oil to make even the tiniest dent in what will likely then be insane fuel prices, at our current rate of price inflation. This whole issue is a joke. The time to focus on alternative fuels and renewable energy is NOW...actually, it was 10 years ago, but now it's crucial.

  • and 5. bring back the 55 a mile an hour speedlimit.

  • there are 5 ways we can bring down the cost of gas. 1. carpool. if 5 people could ride in one car, that would mean that there would be 4 less cars on the highways. unless you like to get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. 2. ask the govt to spend more money on mass transit. if it was made more attractive, comfortable, and inexpensive more folks would use it.3. ask the govt to expand amtrak into a national rail system. 4 ask the govt to get detroit to improve gas mileage in new cars

  • The president who hasn't lifted a finger to broker passage of legislation that has been stuck in Congress for a year, which could actually impact America's energy profile right now — unlike offshore oil that would take years to flow — and create good tech jobs to boot. That bill is H.R. 6049 "The Renewable Energy and Job Creation Act of 2008".

  • what the hell are you talking about..

fair enough if you mean using americas renewable energy reseources i.e. hydro-electric, but not digging for more oil you are mental you americans. your oil is thousands of times more in 50 years anyway. your probs saying this cos your old and yout hink your not gonna live to see a world without energy

  • Come on people pay attention to the commercial. Sure Newt places an emphasis on drilling in ANWAR but he also says that we should use our nations national RESOURCES. This includes NUCLEAR ENERGY and Hydro-Electric energy. And speaking of Nuclear Energy it is one of th most efficient and safest forms of energy. Don't try to bring up Three Mile Island to say that its dangerous I have news for you, there was NO radioactive leakage. Newt you are a voice of reason we so desperately need.

  • The official agency of the US government(Energy Information Administration) projects that drilling in ANWR will not result in a single extra barrel of oil until 2018.

Google "Energy information Administration" for the source.

"The opening of ANWR is projected to have its largest oil price reduction impacts as follows:...$1.44 per barrel in 2027 for the high oil resource case, relative to the reference case."

This means a drop of $1.44 out of $130 by 2027, best case scenario.

  • there is a better solution to the high cost of gas - close the enron loophole!

  • Actually, we can pay less if we stop letting oil "SPECULATORS" drive up the market price in unregulated markets. We could pay less TOMORROW if we did that.

The REAL solution is renewable energy, not more dumbass solutions like more oil drilling. I, for one, can't wait to get my hands on Honda's new zero-emission Hydrogen cell car. Meanwhile, the Republicans keep going backwards - fucking pathetic.

  • And just exactly who should care what this NOBODY, cheating, lying tubby trash has to say. He had his shot and got run out on a rail.

  • Both parties have screwed us over on this issue. The first President Bush signed the bill to extend the ban on offshore drilling, McCain is against drilling in ANWR and offshore, and Hillary voted no on nuclear energy bills 7 times. Obama wants to institute a windfall profits tax that will only be passed on to the American public. It's about time we let our voices be heard that the people want to utilize all of America's energy potential for the best interests of our economy and nat'l sec.

  • Good work, Newt. Perhaps we'll get common sense energy policy for a change.

  • i say we just switch to alternative fuels. i mean we have the technology we see ppl on tv with them but we need to make the change

  • it's the ppl who need to change the country the government. If the government sees that the ppl in the country r changing then government have no coice but to go with only b/c the government is for the ppl but rlly it's not anymore but we can change and we do also have the right to overthrown the government.

  • Except it wouldn't affect prices until 2030. By then we should have switched to alternative fuels. Totally mindless.

  • The very day we begin major exploration or drilling the price of oil would drop because the speculators would not be able to bet on the price of oil going up in the future because the supply will be up as well. Drilling at home is a short-term solution however. We do need to develop alternative forms of energy but drilling at home is much more responsible relying on unstable governments for our oil.

  • propaganda... he didn't even show the other side of the story

  • 1,071,000 have signed as 3pm CDT today. Sign it, and make sure to email it to everyone in your address book.

  • hooray for facism!

  • wow packed with well researched facts. well done moron!

  • thanks. i thought my response was appropriate considering the amount of facts and research that went into newts message.

  • In 1978 the year the Alaskan pipeline was fully operational oil went fron $25 per barrel to $65. More drilling is not the answer. Wake up to this Big oil propaganda!

  • the only people that will profit from this are gas and oil corporations. the consumer will not see its effect until 2030 when prices will come down very slightly.

  • Some research before spouting off this crap Newt? The U.S. Energy Information Administration, an independent statistical agency within the Department of Energy, concluded that new oil from ANWR would lower the world price of oil by no more than $1.44 per barrel—and possibly have as little effect as 41 cents per barrel—and would have its largest impact nearly 20 years from now if Congress voted to open the refuge today. That's Per BARREL not PER GALLON. SO rather than $134 we'd have $132/barrl

  • That is only if ANWAR is handled as a private venture.OPEC nations have nationalized oil production separate from their "free market" prices.A gallon of gas costs $1 in Iran,a $1.45 in Saudi Arabia, ect, ect. If ANWAR is owned by the citizens of the USA then it's oil should be as well and it should be introduced to the American market in much the same way the Strategic Oil Reserve is used as a buffer(ineffective buffer) to fuel price hikes threatening the economy

  • I don't see why we can't do it all?

  • Yes, destroy the environment more, so oil company executives can make 5 billion instead of 500 million dollars a year. Great idea.

  • ANWAR is a nearly barren wasteland of mud flats in the summer and it's frozen ick the rest of the year. The environment? The money that would have been used to reduce vehicle emissions, give tax credits for alternative energy and essentially do more to improve the environment that staving off energy exploration is being spent by consumers at the gs pump.Carmakers were pushing for fuel cell cars, clean diesel and electric cars with their sales profits, now they are failing from fuel inspired inflation

  • Will the Oil be nationalised? Isn't Oil a world commodity? Oil companies don't just drill for their own communities, they sell it in the global market.

  • I agree that drilling for oil, only as one aspect of energy independence. Solar, hydrogen, clean burning cole, wind, etc. also need to be implemented.

Drilling only for more oil alone, will not bring the price of gasoline at the pump down. Oil companies are not going to drill the oil here and sell it 2 or 3 dollars cheaper, then what the world market will pay. America's oil reserves will be pumped out and sold as a commody on the world market. At the going price!

  • Newt is the man! He is a Great American...Let us all send a message to the world. We are tired of bieng held hostage to those who wish us pain.

  • America if you do not drill your own oil you are crazy! Stop letting the little groups run your country! Get some balls and drill some oil :)

  • If we break our dependency on Middle East oil we won't have to turn a blind eye to the fact that the center of Islamic terrorism is Saudi. We can send them a nice bouquet of pretty flowers and have it delivered to the kaaba during haj.

    :)

  • Are balls are growing..or at least we are getting rid of the disease that clings to them. Us Americans have big balls! We just have not swung them in a long time..Thanks for the encouragement:)

  • 1 MILIIIIIOON signatures!! You cannot stop the will of the American people!

Get out of the way tree huggers!!

  • If and when oil company's get permission or are granted lease rights, they are only for 5 to 10 years. Even if they invest in these short lease rights, they are usauly sued by Environmental Activist groups.Congress allows this group to do this and no one else can counter sue. The oil companies can't justify the effort.

  • YOU GO NEWT!! I signed this days ago, I am so glad to see it is picking up speed. China is drilling off of our coast, why can't we?? These stupid tree humnping hippies care about animals more than they care about their fellow human beings.

  • Dick Morris said it best today - the Democrat solution to energy: turn down the thermostat and walk more.

  • You're all on the net. Do some independent research and thinking.

The oil companies have rights to millions of raw acres they haven't yet tapped, or they would have asked long ago for permission to exploit more public land, like cattle farmers do. So giving them more government acres won't make any difference at all. When oil companies need land, they'll ask for it. This is like urging congress give more welfare money to people who don't even need it.

  • Uhh...but they HAVE been asking for it.

Most of the raw acres they have don't have any oil left. They need new areas to explore.

  • Dacherx,

I don't think you understand what is really going on here. Do you? Wake up and let america be self sufficiant. Boy those lebs out there sure got you fooled. The land they need is proven and ready to be drilled. It makes sense.. You believe these conspiracies, and if they do exist let America expose this, but I will not let petty conspiracies tear this country down like they have for years. Get with us, or ride a bike. You have the choice to serve or be a disservice.

  • Sure, I'm all for selling national exploration permits to oil company in exchange for their windfall profits. Though the oil companies will turn down the sweet deal. The oil companies have no incentive to drill more, when they are making record profits doing nothing at all.

Notice it is only partisan politicians and pundits bring up this red herring issue, not energy companies.

  • Jesus, do you even do any research before posting your ignorant drivel?

Oil companies have been begging Congress for years to open up areas for more drilling.

  • Great program, Newt. Our country is fortunate to have your leadership.

  • Oil is being speculated on. You can't blame OPEC. Take a look at some companies on Wall Street. They are the ones pushing up the price of oil as a commodity (futures) so that they can make huge profits on the price of gas. Wake up citizens! You are being crapped on by the Newts of this world!!!! Drilling for oil in America won't solve the problem. All that will happen will be that the speculators (friends of Newt/Bush and Cheney himself) will sit on it until the price is right... for profit.

  • Speculation is part of it, but don't blame Wall Street; blame commonsense business decisions.

For instance, Southwest Airlines made very prescient fuel hedges years ago, and they are still reaping the benefits today. The Wall Street firms only benefit as parties to the speculation if there are real businesses, such as Southwest Airlines, who enter into the other half of the hedge transaction in anticipation of price changes of the underlying commodity.

  • jamesocon1, to further my first comment on your post... let's be pragmatic here.

The point of my post is that Wall Street firms cannot simply "wish" the price of oil up and it goes up. The upward speculation comes from BUSINESSES that buy oil, such as airlines, trucking companies, UPS and FedEx, etc. Wall Street's function is to provide the other half of the hedge; they either pay the difference or receive the difference.

To say that Newt/Bush/etc. are the "speculators" is just stupid.

  • yeah right Newt, blame congress but it was the old oil barons that created the fake environmental orgs that pressured congress to make these no drilling laws.. now they want to reverse them to sell their oil inventories at $150 to maybe $200 a barrel. Newt... many would label you a traitor for this.

  • what Newt doesn't tell you is that the biggest donor is Sheldon Adelson who is the biggest donor to the neocons and the push for the iraq war and the upcoming iran attack. now that they pushed up the price of oil.. they want to sell their inventory. nice scam... by the way... google HHO Hybrids and japan water car.

  • everybody sign this!!! lower gas prices could be ours. im an independent and ive signed it.

  • I signed petition early on, i'ts the american way, "WE THE PEOPLE...". We have a voice!

  • We've hit over 1 MILLION signatures!

  • Drill Here, Drill Now!

Oil prices are inflated because of oil futures Speculation.

When new drilling begins...the speculators will be screwed, and the prices will start going down!

This will quickly affect the prices at the pumps.

It will not take 'years' like Obama & the liberals in Congress are saying.

  • Nationalize the refineries? Isnt that exactly what Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela? Jeez everyday the democrats and the communists just seem to become more and more alike.

  • Yup, I signed immediately and sent it to everyone I know. Use the 80 billion+ in reserves TODAY, while drilling and setting up refineries!!! I had an argument with a Lib who HONESTLY thinks the Dems are "forcing the Reps to find alternative energy." What a freaking JOKE!!! EVERYONE wants alternative energy, they just don't want to commit national suicide before we get there. DRILL HERE,DRILL NOW!!!

  • Now the Dems want to Nationalize the Refinery's. Just what we don't need

  • What ticks me off the most, is the poor who are suffering the most here. Congress needs to be FIRED !!!!!!!!!! They say were are facing double the price, on natural gas this winter. FIRE CONGRESS !

  • Signed the day I heard about it! That was days ago.

I just today heard some democrat congressman say something like "This is the same old stuff the Republicans have been saying forever." Yeah! Keep repeating that, buddy! See how that plays in Peoria!

    Drill here, drill now!

  • I signed!

  • What's wrong with drilling here? Is it bad for the environment or something? I'll sign.

  • Excellent ad. Keep up the pressure Newt! The American people are smart enough to know that when Congress placed our domestic oil off limits that the price would one day go through the roof. Now, we have the means to save ourselves from that folly and Democrats are standing in the way.

  • Thanks for your good work Newt in getting American Solutions setup. I think you will help do much good for our country and help us all work together. After all, we are all on the same team. Let's pull together. BTW, I signed the petition.

  • Great job Newt!

  • I hate it when the Dems and some republicans say we should only focus on "alternative" energy and forget about drilling. Why can't we do both?! This is The United States of America! When we have a problem we throw everything plus the kitchen sink at it and right now we aren't doing anything!

Another thing i hate is when we talk about taxing the oil company and force them to pay for our gas, wait one minute, is this China? Since when was it american to punish a company when it is profitable?

  • While good electioneering, this program is bad policy, focusing upon a single out of context concrete.

As directed by the electorate, the Congress has abused its regulation of commerce to act in restraint of free trade between Americans.

Even if the specific concretes of this campaign were resolved, there are a myriad of non-objective statutes imposed upon American citizens that create an untenable compliance cost, which drives business, including energy, overseas or into non-existence.

  • True enough. But I'll take it anyway!

  • Hubby and I signed!!!

  • I signed, too! Spouse will be next!!!

  • I signed, Newt, I signed. =0)

  • ok...I just signed it...11:08 6/18/08

I couldn't see how many have signed it yet..does anyone know?
