This is one of my favorite movies. I just love it. Ive read the book twice, but Ive seen the movie many more times. I love how Mira Nair widened the love story of the parents. The love story of Ashoke and Ashima. Beautiful.

The song is also called The Namesake on the soundtrack. There are two versions of it. On track two, it's called The Namesake Opening Titles. On track 19 (the one playing here), it's called The Namesake Reprise. Isn't it beautiful? Nitin Sawhney, the composer, did an incredible job.
