idk how anyone can dislike this video..This is a good and one of the best videos on tattooing ever :) im a noob and i hope i can get better what needles are recomended or if anyone can tell me what they recomend
I love this video on line work! And the tranquil music in the background is a perfect choice. It sets the perfect mood for the actual art of tattooing! Thanks Guys!
@9121Melissa Yeah me too. These guys still owe me Tattoo Work from shops they worked out of in California on unfinished tattoo pieces. I knew they were from AZ originally but not sure if they returned back to California. If anyone knows where they are now, please hit us up :)
Question... How do you keep your machine from bleeding ink when you do the lining? On my machine, every line gets wet with ink preventing me from seeing the line. Am I setting up the machine wrong?
@valleystylez1 , Well maybe too much ink or your touching the tip to the skin. I would set up a liner with a long stroke sped up so you can work of the needle. which will control ink better and help U see the needle while lining. Front spring controls speed, back spring/tension controlls duty cycle/stroke. Thats my opinion and facts about front & back springs.
awesome vid and great info but why is the artist not using any mob irons machines to do the tattoo? i was kinda expecting and hoping to see the mob irons machine in use to show how well they run...woulda killed to birds with one stone.
Great work. And beautiful camera work. The close-ups were nice. The mood was set well with the track and the narration was clear and concise.
I would suggest to maybe teach the dab instead of the downward wipe. All tough it really becomes a system of both dab and wipe, the beginner is more likely to wipe AWAY. It was and is great help that it was his own design. Just starting out in a shop, hustling arm bands, doesn't all way afford you that opportunity. So DAB DON'T WIPE. Again good job.

Also interesting to see the artist lining at an angle and not at 90 degrees to the skin.
Thoughts?
Cheers.

@4:35 "Making sure that he does it on the first pass so doesn't have to go back over it."
