Das war aus der Sendung "Goldmillion" im Jahre 1994 in Berlin, wo ch die Ehre hatte life mit im Publikum im ZDF-Studio zu sitzen und Donna erleben zu dürfen.

I watched this video again. She just looks so beautiful! And that voice? I'd love to hear her sing a song (like this one) without the band. She looks and sounds WONDERFUL!

i would describe it as a lyric mezzo soprano she has a gorgeous voice and great upper range that hasn't diminished at all for the 30+ years she has been singing

Why hasn't Donna recorded a NEW full-length album in years for a major label? Certainly there's a huge global audience - if they all sounded as good as this - uptempo pop/house/soul - it would sell loads, cmon, do it!

She has! Her new album is nearly finished, they're just putting the finishing touches on it. It's going to be released next spring on the Burgundy label, for real!

WOW - soooo happy to hear it - I hope she does some uptempo dance numbers and not all ballads and pop stuff - Burgundy is a good new label - the new CHAKA just came out on the same label via Sony.

I don't think this clip has been uploaded here before. There's about 4 other live versions of Melody that have been uploaded to YouTube, all very well sung because it suits her voice so well. Love the colored lights in this video too. Melody was a very classy introduction to House music for her. Also very successful, named Billboard's #1 Club single of 1994.
