i watched this documentry,, trully powerfull,, it was definatly that scum panama lewis that did the stuff to the gloves, , but panama didnt tell resto what he did to the gloves, so resto wasent hundred percent aware on what was going on, but he still admits in the documentry that he knew summat suspicious was going on because panama n the cornermen tuk the gloves to the bath room

Actually its the fabric material of the rap around the hand under the gloves which is band in international boxing.

This fabric material becomes harder n harder as it gets wet by sweating, so the punches becomes the iron hammering

As a result of this bout, in October 1986, Resto was convicted of assault, conspiracy, and criminal possession of a deadly weapon (his fists). He served 21/2 years of a three-year sentence. Both he and Lewis were banned from boxing for life.
