Socialism...State greed, BBC forcing single mums to pay £150 a year, Hitler, Nick Griffin, Stalin, Mao, deregulation of banks, knighting bankers, wars, envy and more greed.
@warriorprince1010 State greed ? If your talking about corruption within State owned industries, That`s a different thing, But, By Definition running industries for the benefit of all of the State, And by not allowing profit to go to a few private individuals, Is surely the polar opposite of greed, And you must know that Adolf Hitler was no Socialist, He was a Fascist, Forget that he was leader of the German workers party, And Nationalised Banks would end reckless and greedy banking
@wicca584 Hitler was a socialist, his whole economic policy was based on state ownership and state planning, yes he was a socialist. Socialism is an economic policy. Your whole silly claims are base don the state not being corrupt, which as we know it always is. The banking crisis was caused by state deregulation, not by accident, but because of state corruption. State greed is as we have seen the main problem with the far left.
@warriorprince1010 Germany in the 1930`s was the hardest hit European country by the great depression, And was politically split between Socialist~Communists on one side, And the right wing fascists on the other, The Nazi party with Adolf Hitler as leader, Was at the right wing fascist end, The polar opposite of Socialism, And Socialism is not all about money, That`s Capitalism, State deregulation is away from Socialism, So can`t be at fault for the banking crisis
@wicca584 NAZI...National socialism, it is socialism just a different strain, but none the less Hitler believed in a state planned economy, as did Stalin, Castro, Chavez and Mao. There are many versions of socialism, Trotsky disagreeed with Stalin, and Lenin was different also. They were all socialists. Governments are all about money and power whatever their politics I am afraid. Stalin was a millionire and lived in luxury, his summer home are now tourist attractions.
@tony13a "Far right" haven't been in power in the UK ever. Gordon Brown had Fred Goodwin running treasury committees and then knighted him. The state is there to regulate and should ahve been protecting the people. They failed as Brown wanted RBS to become a world leader for his Scotland, and in the end it bankrupted us all. Typical state greed.
I think it´s time to make up new words when the old ones have lost all their meaning. There are now almost as many definitions of the words socialism and capitalism as there are people!
Brown's response to the Recession is an example of how far 'socialism' has become untouchable, he couldn't even implement a decent impression of FDR, never mind Marx. What we see now is Keynesian medicine but given to an unreformed neo-liberal system that has swallowed trillions of dollars, pounds and euros with no new 'punishments', which ironically would be brining back in the old safety valves of FDR and Attlee. By today's standards Reagan seems almost too socialist for the mainstream.
Why do all the Left wing clips like SWP etc, get only400 views?.Nigel Farage is getting 500,000 hits?Where is the momentum?.It appears the right is winning the argument? The working class is not voting for the Left?.They are not organising?, Where is one credible Left wing party ?,the working classes are supporting capitalism?.

The meaning of socialism in 2010? Reckless spending and enormous debt to bloat the public sector to get votes, the destruction of indigenous British people and their culture by deliberate mass uncontrolled immigration to get more votes, lies and spin, illegal wars, dumbing down of the education system, zero regulation of the banks in return for tax payments to fund the communist cultural revolution, the destruction of the family.......and so on
@IlRezzonico capitalism private bankers have the "right" to print money based on FA as much as or as little they like causing booms n resecions Reoposssesions for their benefits forcing governments to go to wars for their benefits few elitist multinationals controlling the world economy to who do all major cuntries "owe" so much? to private bankers who produce FA the same banking family financing both Britain n france in their 100 year wars never giving either side enough for an outright victory

@polygamous1 You're under the impression that we can either have our current system or the USA's system. That's simply not true. The fact is that neither UK or USA live under a true capitalist system because we have governments who print and borrow loads of money to bail out banks, which taxpayers will have to pay back. Under a true capitalist system, the banks would not have been bailed out.
@mikesheen741 u hit the nail on the head in one point its Not our governments that print money its Private bankers that do its almost unbelievable that few bankers have the "right" to print money at will as much as they like based on Nothing n can squeez the economy as they like for their own gain causes booms n reccesions Repossesions for them till we are today ALL in debt to them how else can most of the world OWES so much to few Bankers who produce Nothing? just like u n i printing money
@mikesheen741 2" at will yet everybody else has to trade all they produce for this fake miney we all have to use? if our gov. print this money we would owe them Nothing THE MONEY MASTERS will explain it all in brilliant detail it never made sense to me all the countries owe so much how can every country OWE? the reason King Henry the 8th created his TALLY stick to stop them taking over the country's economy its also fractional banking banks can loan out 10X the money they have its a big con
@mikesheen741 3" in the money masters u will see the same banking family financing england n france in their 100 year wars never giving either side enough for an out right victory the longer the war the bigger their profits how many suffered n died meant FA to them, Give me a gun i'll rob a bank give me a bank i'll rob the World they Have to maintain the US$ trhe international trading currency if Not it becomes worthless the day day the reason for the iraqi n Lybia wars they wanted to dump the $
As Stiglitz says, what we have now is a system whereby the privileged elite's losses are socialized (meaning their losses are for the public to absorb and repay), and their profits are privatized (meaning that when they make money, this time it belongs to them, and only them, the public has no part). It's the furthest thing from Capitalism, it's simple corruption.
