Handstand on a boards are easier to keep balanced than on the normal ground. The motion maintains your balnce for you, it'd be more impressive ive you shove off with your hands and land back on your feet

i was doing this one time on a hill and stayed on a little too long, got going too fast and when i did come down with the feet, i went down hard, but i use a smaller board & hold the ends, i can hop it over a speed bump (most of the time)

actually skateboards seem easier just because they don't accelerate quite as fast and they don't turn as quickly if you're leaning one way.
