When I refresh the pivot table on the downloaded sheet, the results are changed every time, even if the total remains the same as 385. Can anyone tell me why?

The data in the A and B column are created by randomizing formulas. If you wnat to stop this, 1) hightlight table, 2) Copy, 3) Use the Paste Button on the Home Ribbon and then 4) Paste - Special - Values.

I downloaded sprdsht above and I get the #NAME? error for the cells that should name the PhoneType (iPhone, etc.). The CHOOSE / RANDBETWEEN formula is the same as your vid. Do you know what could be wrong?

The #NAME error means that you do not have one of the functions (probably the RANDBETWEEN). You need to add the analysis toolpak:

Excel 2003:

Tools menu, Add-ins, check Analysis Toolpak
