@funk8694 That would be another term other than "great guy", but I'm not here to make fun of anyone. lol... I'd give my left arm for the vinyl. This has been the 1 piece of vinyl I've been chasing since the 80s. I asked Carl, no luck.
@oldskoolclassiks Very nice, I started working at the Burlington Rink in the late 80's and the Mississauga Rink for it's first 2 years. Sounds like I just missed you on the turntables... did you know Kyle?
@guido0136 I didn't know "Kyle". The owners at the time were the Scheafers, and their sons name was Mark. Kyle may have gotten involved after I left in '86.
@oldskoolclassiks Yup Wayne was the one who hired me and he was the one who bought the Mississauga rink as well as the Etobicoke and Cambridge rink. For a short time he had all four going at once. ahh those were the days! (What about Kennedy, did you know him?)

@oldskoolclassiks I started many eons ago at Burlington Roller Gardens/Scooters Roller Gardens. When the owner of the Burlington rink purchased the Mississauga location I spent a few months getting it ready for it's grand opening. I then DJ there for a few years. So in total 5 years at the Burlington rink and a few at the Mississauga rink.
@guido0136 Funny story, I started at the rink in Burlington (across from Chuck E Cheese). I got my first set of turntables & mixer from the Burlington rink. I was there in '85 if I recall correctly. Saturday nights it was turned into a club, it was skating the remainder of the week.

@guido0136 I only knew Mr Scheafer, his son Mark. I reside in Toronto, was 15 years old at that time, so I stayed in the room they had set up like a hotel room all weekend. I couldn't leave the building as the security system was on, but that made for a lot of fun once they left the rink. I recall turning the system on a few times around 3:30 am so I could make some mixtapes. I know Mississauga is open, I heard Cambridge (wooden floor) closed down, and I think the rest are closed as well.
@kbmcel1 - He is right, this was not 'released' like most albums. I didn't know there was only 1000 copies??? I guess I should be more careful with this piece.
@oldskoolclassiks - how do you know there is only 1000 copies? I'm curious to learn more about this. thanks.
@guido0136 I know one of the two DJs that put this mix together. I can guarantee you only 1000 copies were pressed. If you ever decide to get rid of yours, I'll buy it. (we both know that's never happening)
@kbmcel1 It's a mix that was released in the early 80s. It was only pressed as a record, you won't find it for sale anywhere. Only 1000 copies were pressed. If you would like the mp3 of this mix, send me a direct message.
I worked at the Burlington rink, Mississauga rink and Cambridge rink form 90-97
