@Lacina1956 believe me, it was the rider, not the bike. I have just finished a London to South Africa ride down the east of Africa and this bike is amazing .. really good, have taken everything in its stride ... buy it ;)
with some help of better tires it would go much better. And with the help with a better rider would go great. Don't yank the trothle too much. if you're stuck in the mud, go smoothly with the throttle.
Haha, I was exactly that stuck for the first time on my 800gs the other day in a drowned out muddy grass field that seconds as a parking lot... I wish I could find some tires that would last on the road and still get kick through something like this.
@jmbean68 not mine ;) ... is my mate. back then I was too scared of mud. Just bought the bike, has my license for 2 months, so I was happier behind the camera ;)
If you are going into the mud with your bike, you should use an appropriate tires for your attempt... A Continental TC80 are great for F800GS .... It's an great on/off road tire, for that amazing BMW bike... The F800GS is a much better off-road bike than R1200GS! And it's a best mid-size BMW enduro ever! Much better that the competition has to offer! BMW's are the best!!!
@GunZenBomZ was last years Touratech weekend ... we just got our bikes a month before so they were brand spanking new. I was even too scared to tackle the mud .. but this years it's gonna be different ! :)

Everyone is saying great things about this bike I guess these are the stock "GS" tires and the rider has no feel for the clutch?
Lacina1956 1 year ago
@Lacina1956 yip, pretty stock standard and only few weeks old ... also think it was the riders very first "off road" experience.

@Lacina1956 if you had second thoughts about buying this bike because of this video, then you don't deserve the bike.

This brings the saying "Let the bike do the work", to a new meaning. Sack of potatoes.
