  • Leopardgecko is right, when I was here there was an 8 foot barracuda under that dock

  • i went there its so close to stiing ray city so i saw a bunch of sting rays when i was snorkleing

  • I'll be here in less than 5 days...cant wait! :D

  • haha I loved this place! If you look under the dock/bridge there is a massive 8 foot baracuda living under there. It is really scary but cool!

  • One of my favorite places to kick back and be lazy. The water is calm and not deep, nice place for a family to go. The food is good here too. Love it here The dive is great too.

  • just left 2 days ago ;(

  • I've been here twice in my lifetime...

  • This a place for the entire to enjoy. The water is so clear and calm. You can take a bus there or rent a car. I came across on a jet ski from seven mile beach. Stayed at Regal Beach Resort. It a blast there. Go every year and going back soon.

  • If you have little ones with you on your trip, I highly recommend this beach, for it is calm and shallow for quite a ways out. We stayed at Discovery Point on 7 Mile Beach and the waves were too big for our 6 year old twins, so we loaded up the car and drove to this beautiful place.

  • Oh my goodness Grand Cayman has to be my favorite vacation spot ever! Sometimes I start crying just thinking about how beautiful it is(:

  • We just got back....7 days of paradise. We stayed at Kabo Yacht Club Phase2 Condos....just around the bend from Rum Point. Going back next year....361 days to go.

  • I was born here and it is amazing! I love snorkling and this video has reminded me of the wonderful times i have had here. Have fun if you are staying! Remember, sting ray city requires shrimp! all ways go on a speed boat in the sunset its amazing

  • my flights are book i cant wait 2weeks on paradise island sun sea and loads of s..... :)

  • One of the best beaches I've been too. This spot is pure theraphy away from any job & life issues---Trus Meh/Trust me!. Walked in about 170 yards from shore and the water was at knee height. Seriously!! Crystal clear water. Love the food at the Scotish eatery---rice and peas just like back home.

  • Rum point is a great place, I went there in May, it was a nice relaxing vacation.

  • what color!That beautiful beach!

  • great video.5 stars,our favorite place in the world!!!thx!!

  • ive been here!!!

  • I were there today, now I'm in New York, big change

  • I went there 2 summers ago and its a beautiful place. We saw a full sized barracuda off the big huge dock at like 0:43. Also to the right of the big dock we were snorkeling and found a live conch that weighed 9 pounds it was awesome.

  • Hey thanks for the vid....I start working on the cruise ship Jewel of the Seas from next month and will be visiting this island a few times (including my birthday) over my six month contract.... I was wondering what the distance was from the ship dock to rum point? you've made me want to go to this place specifically now!

  • @jquinn90 as you probably found out you are going to be hard pushed to get to rum point from george town and back and have a nice afternoon. U got more chance if its rough seas and they have to have the ships is south sound.

  • great video, i worked there for a few years a while back as a cook inside and outside and it brings back a lot of good memories, im not the cayman cowboy even tho i knew him long story but its my youtube account name now

  • ive been there

  • me and my brother were doing backflips off the dock here one day,...he hit his head and i had to jump in and save him!!

  • i live here!!! i hate it!!! its like im living in a cave!! the malls suck and they only sell jewelry....dude!! all u people that think its a cool place...ive been here all my life believe me its sucks!!! i hope i move to the states!!

  • grass isn't always greener!! US sucks!!!!!

  • I know how u feel !!! i was there most of my life ..now i live in Italy ( thanks to Ivan) ..I love cayman and all.. but only for Vacation ....it gets really boring there ...

  • Hey, I hate to be hard on you man but you dont realize how good you have it. I lived on Grand Cayman for 2 1/2 years and miss it. Let me add I have lived and worked in Illinois, California, Kansas, Oklahoma, Tenessee and Washington DC and I would gladly give it up for Grand Cayman. Last of all in most of the U.S. you get to sit in doors for 5 or 6 months because it is to cold to go out. Second, you don't pay taxes on ANYTHING. Whereas we U.S. Citizens get to pay taxes on EVERYTHING.

  • What you fail to pass on is things cost more nd I believe you have to pay $15Gs a year to live there..... Sounds like a tax to me... So my pointis it isnt 100% tax free

  • im moving to grand caymans in 2 weeks and can not wait! I'm there for 2 years and will prob move to 7 mile beach.

Im just so surprised there is so much to such a small island!

  • Reply to Furnitureskate: My advice would be that you should definately stay in the USA, too. Please.

Grand Cayman seems like such a beautiful positive place to live, and I can't wait to move there in a month! I'm about to get so lucky :)

  • me and my family absoluely hated the island we wanted to leeve erly but there were no flights going out of the island. my advice to anybody thinking about going there from u.s.a is to stay in america

  • WOW!!! That's the dumbest comment I have ever heard. Here's a plan get a job save a few bucks get off ur lazy american ass and go back to cayman. when u are there stop looking for flights home and have fun unless u don't like fun, and the sun. sorry u couldn't find a mcdonald's. fatty!!!

  • im 90 pounds and im 12 years and i didnt want mcdonalds. im just giving advice. the fucking island sucks

  • well what did you do? sit on your ass in your hotel all day?

  • why didn't you go to the skatepark?

  • i did

  • you dont know how to enjoy yourself, or you do want to?

  • One of the best days of my life! I dream every day of going back. I want to cry right now!

  • paradise!

  • it was awesome their, i loved that tortuga rum cake, i stayed at the westin their right along the 7 mile beach and then went to the grand caymanian resort.

  • Cayman is awsome i luv rum point (im a local) i was suppose to go soon so yeaa

Vist grand cayman, youll luv it!

  • It's beautiful, but i live here and just for your information it isn't GRAND Cayman Island, its just the Cayman Islands (its not the Caymans either) Locals get upset by that!

  • Movin there in 7 months. Any advice?

  • Buy a scooter, if it's feasible. Gas is over $6 US.

If you must buy a car, please buy one already on island. We have problems with all the cars on the road. And some of the people driving them. It surprises me how some people can pass a driving test. :-s

We drive on the left, so heads up.

The further from town, the cheaper the rent (in most cases). I highly recommend anywhere in West Bay. Not that far from town, plenty of attractions. I guess I'm biased..I'm from there. :-) gl!

  • Hey, im here on holiay right now, staying with my family. My advice is if you are building a house make sure it is resistant to the hurricanes BUILD WELL!

  • Nice shots.....my wife is one of the local artists who painted an Iguana as seen in your video. There are several scattered all over the islands :-)

  • the water is beautiful and it's paradise ..beautiful island would love to visit again....

  • I will visit the Caymans in two days for the first time. Can't wait to see the beautiful landscape in real

  • My husband and I just returned with our son from the cayman islands, We stayed on seven mile beach, and got a rental car for the ten days we were there. Rum Point was a very beautiful beach, my son, who is five, enjoyed swimming and snorkeling there more than seven mile beach. We can hardly wait to return next January. Thank you for sharing your vacation. Did you stay somewhere in rum point, we would like to stay next year there, any tips would be appreciated.

  • We stayed at the Cayman Reef Resort. We first stayed at 7 mile beach about 10 years ago. We went back in April and thought it was too built up! We liked the Reef Resort, it was very quiet and on a nice beach and away from Georgetown. We loved Rum Point and the food at the beach restaurant was delicious!

  • I am stopping in Grand Cayman in April 09 on a cruise. I am thinking about renting a car and driving to Rum Point. Are there any fees for using the beach or chairs? How is the bar there? It seems uncrowded? Any info or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • The weather will be perfect in April on your cruise. That's our favorite month to go to Grand Cayman. No fees for using the beach or chairs. Yes, they have a bar with EXCELLENT frozen drinks. The beach is uncrowded during weekdays....busier on the weekends. Lots of local folks hang out there. It will be well worth your drive to check out Rum Point. Prettiest beach on the entire island. Enjoy!

  • no taxes in cayman either

  • heres some advice. rent the banana boat for relaxation. if you want to work on your muscle and have fun use the caiac (canoe) if you want extreme you use the jet skiis

  • I visited the caymans and it was really awsome, recommend it highly
